Asking the Right Questions

MELISSA GABLER— We can ask the right kind of questions that lead down a path of deliverance, healing, and action.  When we ask the right questions we are able to hear the answers we need.  When we ask fear-based questions we have already come to the wrong, statistic-based, society-experienced conclusions.  These soulish conclusions make it really hard to hear a Spirit answer.  So, a good place to start asking the right question is to ask the Holy Spirit, “What questions should I be asking about this situation?” He will tell you, and most of the time these questions carry the answer in them.  The right questions are a key to unlock doors and chains.  The right questions give you the right perspective.

Crying Out in a Pressing Time

This is a most trying and pressing time we are living in. It is the time to heed the Holy Scriptures that instruct the people of God to cry out. In dark hours, in the dark wrestling with our souls when we have been bombarded continually with narrative, propaganda, outright lies, ordeals that cause our physical to drain us, it is time to lift our voice. At that point, for some reason, it becomes really easy to doubt. But nothing is impossible with El Elyon, no matter what absurdities the people are entrenched in. His name is Elohim the great Yahweh. Nothing is impossible with the Great God of Heaven and earth.

Walk Out What we Were Born to Do

Kathy — Doubt, fear, offense, deceit, unforgiveness and depression can crawl up on anybody’s porch. Mature sons master them and continue to walk out what they FatherSonBuildwere born to do. When His sons mature, His government is demonstrated on earth as in heaven and His supernatural touches the natural. Let’s be encouraged. Our Father is faithful and patient. He will keep working with us to grow us up into full stature! Eph.4:13, Amp — “until we all reach oneness in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God, [growing spiritually] to become a mature believer, reaching to the measure of the fullness of Christ [manifesting His spiritual completeness and exercising our spiritual gifts in unity].”

The “Ice” of Doubt

There are those who have had doubt concerning the same issue over a long period IceBreakingUp.jpgof time. That doubt has become solidified through time and what seems to be irrefutable evidence. But the Lord is breaking up that solid doubt. Just as water becomes solidified, turning to ice, over time in cold weather–even so, the Lord is breaking up that doubt. Listen for the pressure on the “ice” of your doubt. It is beginning to crack and break up so that hope can surface fresh and new!   “He will bring justice to the poor of the people; He will save the children of the needy,And will break in pieces the oppressor.” (Ps.72:4, NKJV)

Help My Doubts

Jesus said, “If you are able to believe, all things are possible to the ones believing.” (Mk.9:23) No sooner were tThe words out of His mouth than the father cried, “Then I believe. Help me with my doubts!” That may sound weak in terms of faith, but that was the beginning of repentance as the man’s thinking was changing. Repentance brings Kingdom power and provision into reach. “Repent, for the Kingdom is at hand.” (Matt. 4:17).  So, when the power and provision of the Kingdom of God seems beyond our reach, it is time to rethink something.  (Third excerpt from Kathy Gabler’s SEEC Magazine article “Sons Must Get It”.)

2017 Declaration #5

In 2017 we will begin to anticipate Red Sea interventions. (Kid’s Declaration: 5. We are ready to see God do impossible things.)   When we find ourselves in walkthruredseadifficult situations, we will begin to call upon the Lord and begin to anticipate Red Sea interventions and feeding-the-5,000 interventions. Instead of desperately crying out, “What in the world will we do now?”, we will cry out, “What is God doing that we have never seen before?” What do I need to do so I can participate? Let’s go through 2017 doing what we can to get doubt out of the way of progress. We will be doubt removers.  ”I write this to you whose experience with God is as life-changing as ours, all due to our God’s straight dealing and the intervention of our God and Savior, Jesus Christ.” (2Pe.1:1, Msg)
(Declaration #5 from the 2017 Declarations. The Kid’s version was written by Brian and Hannah Sherman.)

Falling Into Unbelief

FallingMidAirFalling into unbelief isn’t really even complicated.  When trials are extensive and answers  to prayer are long in coming, doubt will always show up and build a case for unbelief.  Doubt sniffs us out when we are afraid.  Fear stinks and Doubt smells it!  Fear is similar to germs in that it’s everywhere.  We can dismiss it and wash it away like we do germs with soap, or we can allow the fear germs to infect us: “I’m afraid the situation might never change.  I’m afraid they might not be healed. I’m afraid I might not be able to stand and keep fighting.”  The moment we embrace fear, Doubt says, “AMEN,” and we begin the descent into unbelief; and unbelief is always a losing-ground war!

Who Told You That You Were Naked?

fig and leaf2> The second question God asked Adam was, “Who told you that you were naked?”  In other words, who judged you and put your value on the line and undermined your affirmation?  God had created Adam in His own image and put him on earth with undeniable, detailed daily purpose, so there was no lack of affirmation.  I believe the “who” is what God was emphasizing in this question because “naked” was nothing new.  If this was Friday, Adam had been naked on Thursday too.  The real issue was “who” decided Adam was worth less in the last twenty-four hours?  Mature sons shouldn’t hide when they need to repent.  Sowing fig leaves was an attempt to fix things without repentance.  Repentance is going up to the “pent-house” (mind) to see from a higher, God perspective and change our thinking.  No change in thinking means no real change.  The question pointed out that it was Adam who believed his identity was damaged.  It was not God that was doubting worth or abandoning. In fact, it never is God that decides worth is diminished.

A Perfect Pair Of Brakes

Kathy and I grew up around church kids and minister’s kids. We know many for whom hurts and disappointments drove mean brakes1wedges between them and the Holy Spirit. That resulted in their not wanting anything to do with ministers or churches or Christians and. . . eventually God. The devil didn’t have to kill them to stop their progress in the destiny they were born with. The kids I’m talking about are ones that the obvious Hand and purpose of God was upon them. All satan has to do, in many cases, to bring a screeching halt to purposeful progress is to ask, “Did God say?” (Gen.3) A doubt offered and a doubt received is a perfect pair of brakes to stop most any vehicle. “Well, if God loved you, this would be a certain way and the other thing would be what ‘it ought to be’.” Just because our lives are not perfect does not mean that God doesn’t love us.
