Counsel for Living #2— May we each be attuned to hearing the voice of wisdom and counsel for our respective places of responsibility. May the Lord provide that we shall receive skillful instruction that will stand us good in days to come and may we be willing to receive correction in areas in which we are remiss. May the Lord’s purpose for you prevail above all opposition.

Some people think about infirmity like this, ‘With my track record, I probably deserve this; besides, everybody has their cross to bear.’ (If we think like that, we need to find a way to bleach our brain!) Your cross in life is your purpose, not your predicament! God’s will is never that someone be born for sickness or trouble. That’s sick thinking, death-curse thinking and our God is Life! By the way, one of the essential aspects of choosing life is to know your God’s character, not just His Word and His Principles, but His Heart, because that is what enables us to trust Him.

Can our struggles really be related to our purpose and our future when we can’t see any connection to either? YES, but how many Christians consider things like this? Aren’t we more apt to think something like, “My infirmity is a bloodline pattern, a weakness, a disease in our family.” So then we tolerate and allow an ongoing curse and thereby choose death and we act like “history repeating itself” is a biblical principle! History only repeats because the changes needed didn’t happen. That wrong thinking causes us to just accept things that we were actually born to conquer. We need to CHOOSE LIFE and bring CHANGE in our lifetime, and even expect change to ripple back to the previous generation.

Your purpose and potential to bring God glory can draw unique fire as the devil consistently tries to rob, kill or destroy the glory of God. This could 
actually explain why you are a magnet for certain types of problems, (like a back-handed confirmation of your purpose and calling.) For example, if you continually battle health issues, the real cause of that war may be over your call and purpose. The intention behind snuffing you out could be to remove your godly influence in your family or community or career. A more specific ensample: if you were born to train and educate future politicians or judges but sickness keeps you out of the classroom, those students do not come under the godly influence that was essential for their belief system and future decisions. (Your health and healing is bigger than you. It connects to purpose.) From another perspective, physical harassment may be an attempt to stir up doubt or cynicism in you so that you’ll never flow in the gift of healing as God intended.

You may be trapped in a cocoon because of the mistakes or difficulties of a previous generation or, you may be in a cocoon challenge because of some particular aspect of your destiny. If your enemy has sniffed out the purpose and call of God in you, he will go after it. Technically, the devil can’t decide to touch God’s plan and purpose, he is just not big enough. His only hope is to derail God’s participants from it through evil devices like injustice, deception, false accusation, etc. He will use anything he can to limit or stop you or your passion. Stopping you from being who you were born to be and doing what you were born to do is his only way of hindering the GLORY of GOD in the earth. Jesus said in John 17:4 “I glorified You on the earth, having accomplished the work which You have given Me to do.” So your purpose and potential to bring God glory can draw unique fire as the devil consistently tries to rob, kill or destroy the glory of God.

(By Kathy G.) Some cocoons (entrapped, tough times in life) are common for many people, but we also have our customized cocoons, those tough times that are unique to us. These come from matters that need resolve in our soul, like you may be having to work on a relationship that was damaged by jealousy or fear or anger. Or you may be having to deal with problems you inherited, ongoing battles from choices made four generations ago. Perhaps your forerunners didn’t choose life and blessings and it caused them to end up with a view of marriage that’s bound to fail. So the next generation has to work through the trickle-down issues of divorce. Or a generation made wrong career choices and bankrupted the whole family causing poverty conditions and limitations for decades. Or a generation chose death and curses, deciding to be lawless, and the ripple effect undermined character to the point that a family or community or culture is cocooned in corruption. Can our struggles really be related to our purpose and our future when we can’t see any connection to either? We need to CHOOSE LIFE and bring CHANGE in our lifetime, and even expect change to ripple back to the previous generation.

As the people of God assemble today, may the Lord enable them to step beyond issues that would otherwise hinder their hearing the truths of His Word. May issues not be considered or guarded as the Word of God is spoken. May those issues not be a screen that the Word has to get through before the Word can be considered for repentance and/or growth. May personal issues, and issues with others who are present in the meeting, take a back seat to the life and delivering power of the Word of God.
Psa 106:25 They found fault with the life they had and turned a deaf ear to GOD’s voice. (Msg)
Psa 81:11 But My people would not hearken to My voice, and Israel would have none of Me.
Psa 81:12 So I gave them up to their own hearts’ lust and let them go after their own stubborn will, that they might follow their own counsels.
Psa 81:13 Oh, that My people would listen to Me, that Israel would walk in My ways!
Psa 81:14 Speedily then I would subdue their enemies and turn My hand against their adversaries. (Amp)

People, time and circumstances seem to be working against destiny for many. BUT ask Joseph, “Did God bring you to purpose? And when He finally did, was He too late?” Ask David, “Did personalities keep you down so that your life did not fulfill God’s purpose?” The deciding factor is this: Is God our goal? That is the only goal God will guarantee. To have God as our goal means that we want to possess Him, to know Him, to walk with Him more than anything. To have God as our goal means that we will know Him and we will know Him by His Word getting into us and walking by that Word. If we know Him we will allow Him to bring us into the likeness of His Son. “That was then and this is now.” True, BUT God had an unpredictable habit of manifesting Himself miraculously then and…. His habits have not changed NOW!

Counsel For Living #1—In keeping with Paul’s instruction for disciples’ every day living in Ephesians Chapter Six, let us pray every day and in every situation in the Spirit and let us use every kind of prayer. We must know how to pray in particular situations. Simon Purvis lists some of the prayers we should be praying: 1) Prayer of Thanksgiving, 2) Prayer of Petition, 3) Prayer of Agreement, 4) Prayer of Authority and 5) the Prayer of Perseverance.
“Pray in the Spirit in every situation. Use every kind of prayer and request there is.
For the same reason be alert. Use every kind of effort and make every kind of
request for all of God’s people.” (Eph.6:18, Amp)

Lying demons have come too late to tell you, God doesn’t care. Scoffing spirits have come too late to use religious people to convince you that God will not fulfill His purpose in you. People cannot keep you from fulfilling God’s purpose, no matter how adverse their personalities. Circumstances (no matter how dark and oppressive) cannot keep God from bringing you to purpose. Joseph, David and Daniel prove both points. People put Joseph and David and Daniel in impossible positions to work with. Circumstances degraded them, threatening not only purpose but their very lives. You know the Word of God and “they” have come too late to convince you that opposition and the delay of time mean God hasn’t put purpose in you that will be fulfilled.

There are those who become focused on their own disappointments and aren’t able to see that God is powerfully at work in the world today. One day in South America an atheistic, antagonistic city absolutely refuses to allow a Gospel evangelist to even set foot within the city limits. One day later the entire city is on its knees accepting Jesus Christ as Savior. (Charisma Magazine)
In one city in Central America so many people have been delivered from demon possession and so many have been delivered from mental disorders that the church there is called “The Crazy Church.”
Instead of sitting back and merely counting on tried and true ways and trusty rusty old institutions, God, help us lean forward with anticipation and ride that exponential curve with the Holy Spirit.

There will always be those who insist on and who will eventually get some things done with barges and bridges but the Holy Spirit is NOW working in this earth, in this hour on an exponential curve. An exponent is a number which is multiplied by itself. In this hour in the earth God is not multiplying 4 by one. He is multiplying 4 by 4. 4 is becoming 16 and 16 is becoming 256 and 256 is becoming 65,536! “One shall set a thousand to flight but 2 shall set 10,000 to flight.” The curve of a typical table of multiplication looks like a small sapling that has been bent over. But an exponential curve looks like the space shuttle as it takes off and breaks free of gravity.

Some people think about infirmity like this, ‘With my track record, I probably deserve this; besides, everybody has their cross to bear.’ (If we think like that, we need to find a way to bleach our brain!) Your cross in life is your purpose, not your predicament! God’s will is never that someone be born for sickness or trouble. That’s sick thinking, death-curse thinking and our God is Life! By the way, one of the essential aspects of choosing life is to know your God’s character, not just His Word and His Principles, but His Heart, because that is what enables us to trust Him.
actually explain why you are a magnet for certain types of problems, (like a back-handed confirmation of your purpose and calling.) For example, if you continually battle health issues, the real cause of that war may be over your call and purpose. The intention behind snuffing you out could be to remove your godly influence in your family or community or career. A more specific ensample: if you were born to train and educate future politicians or judges but sickness keeps you out of the classroom, those students do not come under the godly influence that was essential for their belief system and future decisions. (Your health and healing is bigger than you. It connects to purpose.) From another perspective, physical harassment may be an attempt to stir up doubt or cynicism in you so that you’ll never flow in the gift of healing as God intended.
You may be trapped in a cocoon because of the mistakes or difficulties of a previous generation or, you may be in a cocoon challenge because of some particular aspect of your destiny. If your enemy has sniffed out the purpose and call of God in you, he will go after it. Technically, the devil can’t decide to touch God’s plan and purpose, he is just not big enough. His only hope is to derail God’s participants from it through evil devices like injustice, deception, false accusation, etc. He will use anything he can to limit or stop you or your passion. Stopping you from being who you were born to be and doing what you were born to do is his only way of hindering the GLORY of GOD in the earth. Jesus said in John 17:4 “I glorified You on the earth, having accomplished the work which You have given Me to do.” So your purpose and potential to bring God glory can draw unique fire as the devil consistently tries to rob, kill or destroy the glory of God.

(By Kathy G.) Some cocoons (entrapped, tough times in life) are common for many people, but we also have our customized cocoons, those tough times that are unique to us. These come from matters that need resolve in our soul, like you may be having to work on a relationship that was damaged by jealousy or fear or anger. Or you may be having to deal with problems you inherited, ongoing battles from choices made four generations ago. Perhaps your forerunners didn’t choose life and blessings and it caused them to end up with a view of marriage that’s bound to fail. So the next generation has to work through the trickle-down issues of divorce. Or a generation made wrong career choices and bankrupted the whole family causing poverty conditions and limitations for decades. Or a generation chose death and curses, deciding to be lawless, and the ripple effect undermined character to the point that a family or community or culture is cocooned in corruption. Can our struggles really be related to our purpose and our future when we can’t see any connection to either? We need to CHOOSE LIFE and bring CHANGE in our lifetime, and even expect change to ripple back to the previous generation.
People, time and circumstances seem to be working against destiny for many. BUT ask Joseph, “Did God bring you to purpose? And when He finally did, was He too late?” Ask David, “Did personalities keep you down so that your life did not fulfill God’s purpose?” The deciding factor is this: Is God our goal? That is the only goal God will guarantee. To have God as our goal means that we want to possess Him, to know Him, to walk with Him more than anything. To have God as our goal means that we will know Him and we will know Him by His Word getting into us and walking by that Word. If we know Him we will allow Him to bring us into the likeness of His Son. “That was then and this is now.” True, BUT God had an unpredictable habit of manifesting Himself miraculously then and…. His habits have not changed NOW!
Counsel For Living #1—In keeping with Paul’s instruction for disciples’ every day living in Ephesians Chapter Six, let us pray every day and in every situation in the Spirit and let us use every kind of prayer. We must know how to pray in particular situations. Simon Purvis lists some of the prayers we should be praying: 1) Prayer of Thanksgiving, 2) Prayer of Petition, 3) Prayer of Agreement, 4) Prayer of Authority and 5) the Prayer of Perseverance.
Lying demons have come too late to tell you, God doesn’t care. Scoffing spirits have come too late to use religious people to convince you that God will not fulfill His purpose in you. People cannot keep you from fulfilling God’s purpose, no matter how adverse their personalities. Circumstances (no matter how dark and oppressive) cannot keep God from bringing you to purpose. Joseph, David and Daniel prove both points. People put Joseph and David and Daniel in impossible positions to work with. Circumstances degraded them, threatening not only purpose but their very lives. You know the Word of God and “they” have come too late to convince you that opposition and the delay of time mean God hasn’t put purpose in you that will be fulfilled.
There are those who become focused on their own disappointments and aren’t able to see that God is powerfully at work in the world today. One day in South America an atheistic, antagonistic city absolutely refuses to allow a Gospel evangelist to even set foot within the city limits. One day later the entire city is on its knees accepting Jesus Christ as Savior. (Charisma Magazine)
There will always be those who insist on and who will eventually get some things done with barges and bridges but the Holy Spirit is NOW working in this earth, in this hour on an exponential curve. An exponent is a number which is multiplied by itself. In this hour in the earth God is not multiplying 4 by one. He is multiplying 4 by 4. 4 is becoming 16 and 16 is becoming 256 and 256 is becoming 65,536! “One shall set a thousand to flight but 2 shall set 10,000 to flight.” The curve of a typical table of multiplication looks like a small sapling that has been bent over. But an exponential curve looks like the space shuttle as it takes off and breaks free of gravity.
