Nasty Opposition Can Ruin Participation
A father, in Mark 9, explained to Jesus that his son was possessed with a spirit which made him mute and seized him and slammed him to the ground while causing him to foam at the mouth and grind his teeth and stiffen out. So Jesus proceeded to rebuke the unclean spirit saying to it, “You deaf and mute spirit, I command you, come out of him and do not enter him again.” That power blast targeted the past, present and future of that family and that spirit. In verse 26, after crying out and throwing the boy into terrible convulsions, it came out. This kind of nasty, tenacious opposition is probably not going to be detailed in your up-front-briefing that you get for a mission like this, because you can see how it might dampen your anticipation if not make you faint at the thought of participation! (Fourth excerpt from Kathy Gabler’s SEEC Magazine article “Sons Must Get It”.)

Discovering You Are The Good
I found good in a hospital Intensive Care Unit. Last week I visited a friend in ICU who had kidney failure and was on a ventilator. When I walked in, a lady we know was wiping her face with a cool cloth. That lady prayed softly for her and told her she was going to be OK. This week the doctor removed the tube and our friend is sitting up and eating and gaining strength. The lady who took the time and concern and went to the ICU did a lot of good. (Heb.10:24, Amp) ”…let us consider [thoughtfully] how we may encourage one another to love and to do good deeds,” We are praying you discover daily that you are the good that people are discovering in their daily life. Help My Doubts
Jesus said, “If you are able to believe, all things are possible to the ones believing.” (Mk.9:23) No sooner were tThe words out of His mouth than the father cried, “Then I believe. Help me with my doubts!” That may sound weak in terms of faith, but that was the beginning of repentance as the man’s thinking was changing. Repentance brings Kingdom power and provision into reach. “Repent, for the Kingdom is at hand.” (Matt. 4:17). So, when the power and provision of the Kingdom of God seems beyond our reach, it is time to rethink something. (Third excerpt from Kathy Gabler’s SEEC Magazine article “Sons Must Get It”.)

A Vital Necessity
We will determinedly go after the things that we believe are absolute necessity. There is One necessity, however, we must absolutely go after at all costs. (Jer.29:11-13, Amp) “For I know the plans and thoughts that I have for you,’ says the Lord, ‘plans for peace and well-being and not for disaster to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call on Me and you will come and pray to Me, and I will hear [your voice] and I will listen to you. Then [with a deep longing] you will seek Me and require Me [as a VITAL NECESSITY] and [you will] find Me when you search for Me with all your heart.” We are praying you discover daily that you are seeking God and requiring Him as a vital necessity. (Marty’s Daily Discovery as heard on TEXAS PRAISE RADIO at the bottom of the hour 24hrs/day.)

For The Future
Jesus said, “If you are able to believe, all things are possible to the ones believing.” (Mk.9:23) He was telling him, “Sir, the ‘IF’ is in your court
both now and in the future.” The way Jesus handled this situation shows us the Power of the Kingdom was being released for more than that boy. The deliverance was for the whole family.
An equipping insight here is that anticipating and participating in a Kingdom power moment may be more involved than we perceived in the very beginning. It may include prepping people to receive as well as equipping them to hold steady for the future. Some of the healing evangelists in the last sixty years would require people to be in three meetings before they got in the prayer line. I have to wonder if they too were trying to affect the thinking of people so they could align with God to keep their healing in the future. (Third excerpt from Kathy Gabler’s SEEC Magazine article “Sons Must Get It”.)

Who is Like Thee?
As the people of God assemble today, may their Lord and Savior Jesus Christ be the focus of every heart and mind. May His praises be made glorious and may the Spirit of Christ flood each and every one with His enabling power to the glory of the Name that is above every name, JESUS. ”Who is like unto Thee, O Lord, among the gods? Who is like Thee, glorious in holiness, fearful in praises, doing wonders?” (Ex.15:11, KJ21)

Father Will Finish What He Started in You
There are many experiences which we have in life that have altered our behavior. Sometimes we have learned from them but in some cases we have allowed certain experiences to dictate changes to us which have, in turn, affected progress to our destiny. Some of those effects will not be
immediate but they hold long-term results for us. Some of us have had experiences where we have trusted God in certain matters and, when expected results did not take place, we stopped believing God in those areas. There have been instances when we trusted in fellow Christians and in ministers who let us down and we adjusted our behavior for future reference and self-preservation. There are people who were once convinced that they had a true prophecy from God or that they had received a burden or a vision from God that was their life’s call and nothing ever materialized on the matter. When that happens we determinedly embrace a “paradigm shift” and woe be to anyone who tries to talk us out of it. Once we were convinced that God’s intentions toward us were large but because we experienced a repeated hindrance, we can end up believing we never did hear from God. Then we wind up believing in our disappointing experience more than we believe the Word of the Lord. But, let us lift up our heads and trust to Father God who desires our fulfilled destiny more than we do, for ”I am convinced and confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will [continue to] perfect and complete it until the day of Christ Jesus [the time of His return].” (Phil.1:6, Amp)

Follow-Through-Thinking
Jesus said, “O unbelieving generation, how long shall I be with you? How long shall I put up with you? Bring him to Me!” (Mark 9:19). His
frustration was obviously because He had been training the twelve to be sons who understood Kingdom Power, but they didn’t seem to “get it.” Jesus then looked to the father and asked, “How long has this been happening to your son?” The father answered, “From childhood. It has often thrown him both into the fire and into the water to destroy him. If You can do anything, take pity on us and help us!” Jesus did not always ask a question like this. His question caused the man to lay everything on the table, 1) his grief from the past, 2) his helplessness in the present and 3) his plea for the future. Evidently, Jesus wanted the father to say it, so he could see his thinking because anticipation, or the realization of what can happen is only the beginning. The father’s follow-through-thinking would be crucial to their future. (Second excerpt from Kathy Gabler’s SEEC Magazine article “Sons Must Get It”.)

Walking Above Limitations
How in the world did Peter ever walk on water?! It was indeed a miracle that Peter walked on water, especially when his buddies were clinging to the sides of the boat… from the inside. We do not want to be connected to the mind of this age with its limitations. In Matt.6:9 Jesus said we should pray to our Father in Heaven that His Kingdom would come to earth, and that was so we can lift our sense-oriented sight and sense-enslaved minds beyond the pitiful limitations of man’s small world — to see what we have never seen and to do what we have never done. We are praying you discover daily that you are lifting your eyes and setting your mind on the possibilities of Heaven coming into earth. Sons Must Get It
In Mark 9, when Jesus and Peter, James and John came down from the Mount of Transfiguration experience, they found the other disciples with a crowd gathered and a man that said he’d brought his son for deliverance. The father explained that his son was possessed with a spirit which made him mute and seized him and slammed him to the ground while causing him to foam at the mouth and grind his teeth and stiffen out. Then he added, “Your disciples couldn’t cast it out.” Jesus had been training the twelve to be sons who understood Kingdom Power, but they didn’t seem to “get it.” (First excerpt from Kathy Gabler’s SEEC Magazine article “Sons Must Get It”.)

Staying on Track
Have you ever had intentions to get something accomplished on your day off but each time you walk into a room or see an object, you get sidetracked and never reach your goal? May the Lord keep us with His Word and His Wisdom that we not become convoluted with side-tracking issues and that we not clutter up our purpose and focus with relationships that God has not ordained. (2Cor.6:14, Amp) “Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers [do not make mismated alliances with them…, inconsistent with your faith]. For what partnership have right living and right standing with God with iniquity and lawlessness? Or how can light have fellowship with darkness?” We are praying you discover daily that you are staying on track with the God-intentions for your life. What was Meant for Evil
May our Lord do restorative works in you so that what the enemy meant for evil may be turned to defeat him; so that what the enemy did to prevent your gifts and energies and capabilities from being released, might be totally redeemed and come forth as a glorious praise to God as others receive and are blessed from that work being done in you.
“As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good in order to bring about this present result, to preserve many people alive.” (Gen.50:20, NASB)

Word of God in Action
As the people of God assemble today, may their hearts be filled with desire and expectancy to show forth the power of God as well as His words and principles of truth, doctrine and theology. May the naysayers that oppose and argue against the Spirit of Christ be speechless as they hear of and witness the powerful Word of God in action as lives are redeemed, bodies healed and signs and wonders loosed that point back to Jesus the risen Christ.

Delegated Authority
The Kingdom of God came into the earth through the Person of Jesus. Jesus (1) comes to earth, (2) learns
obedience as a servant, pleases the Father in His obedience and, in so doing, (3) brings the authority, the rule, the reign of the Father into history and (4) experiences victory in every confrontation with the kingdom of darkness. God’s rule and reign are today evidenced through delegated authority that proceeds from Jesus’ all-inclusive authority (Mt 28:18). Just as God’s rule has entered the earth in history through the Person of Jesus, His rule enters the earth today as His authority flows through His sons who are being made in the image of Jesus.

Available to be Someone’s Hope
A friend of mine wrote a song that says, “What if we are the awakening that we’ve been waiting for?” Could it be that God is hoping that we will think big enough and offer ourselves to be some person’s or some community’s or even some nation’s hope? Rather than just going through life hoping for someone else to be what we need or hoping someone else will give us a break, what if we met a need or gave someone else a break that helped launch them into their destiny? May the people of God propel many people forward in the purposes of God. (Isa.35:3, Amp) “Encourage the exhausted, and make staggering knees firm.” We are praying you discover daily that you are giving hope to others so they can succeed. (Marty’s Daily Discovery as heard on TEXAS PRAISE RADIO at the bottom of the hour 24hrs/day.)

Not Allowing Obstacles

The gate in Matt. 7 is not narrow because God put the posts really close together. The gate is narrow by virtue of the things that are about it. If you will hear it, I declare over you that those things that have made the gate “narrow” by virtue of their presence will not be the obstacles in the coming year that they were in the past year. They will not be those obstacles because you will not allow them to be. You will not give them the place they have had in your life in the past. (Seventh excerpt from Marty’s article “Doors and Self-Government”)

Pushing Forward
It has been said that “graveyards are full of good intentions that were never walked out, full of dreams never fulfilled, books never written,
relationships that were never gleaned from”. May you realize today that there is no reason for you to live a lesser version of what God intended you to be. There is no reason for you not to dream and, with the enablements of the Spirit of God, press forward beyond discouragements and obstacles. (1Pe.5:9b-11, Msg) “….keep a firm grip on the faith… It won’t be long before this generous God who has great plans for us in Christ… will have you put together and on your feet for good.” We are praying you discover daily that you are becoming more fully what Father God intended. (Marty’s Daily Discovery as heard on TEXAS PRAISE RADIO at the bottom of the hour 24hrs/day.)

Doors and Excuses

There are a variety of excuses for not going through God-ordained doors of opportunity. Some of the doors we are supposed to go through are just beyond temptation. Some of them are just beyond ignorance and neglect and some are just beyond lethargy. Temptation can be resisted, ignorance can be displaced by willful pursuance of knowledge and wisdom. Neglect can be exchanged for responsible activity and lethargy can be handled by self-government. There are many waiting for us to make the right choices to get beyond the hindrances that stand between us and the doors to success in advancing the Kingdom in this earth. (Sixth excerpt from Marty’s article “Doors and Self-Government”)

Word of God Penetrates
As the people of God assemble today, may the Word of God penetrate right through the layers of stress and frustration they wrestled with all week long. In the gathering, may the powerful Word of God show and demonstrate our Lord’s authoritative hand lifting every stubborn layer that opposes peace and victory. ”Fear not, for I am with you. Do not be dismayed. I am your God. I will strengthen you; I will help you; I will uphold you with my victorious right hand.” (Isa.41:10, TLB)

Breakthroughs Coming
At God-intersections, when He reveals His doings, we witness not only His acts but also His might and love and faithfulness. Seeing beyond the “what” to the “who” He will most certainly stir us to worship and our worship is a sound of agreement from the earth regarding who He is in Heaven! I don’t know yet all that His breakthroughs have prepped and set in motion, but I believe we will recognize them as the Intervener intervening in the weeks to come. Going Through Doors For Others
There are doors of opportunity for the Kingdom to advance. As a result of that factor, there are doors of opportunity for us to go to a level we have never been to, to stand upon mountains we have never stood on. There are doors to take our children through, doors to lead the hungry
and the hurting through. Many lost and distressed and hopeless people stand where they do because they see no way out. They cannot see doors of release because of the immediate press of needs and issues. But there are doors before us and when we go through them it is possible to lead many others through them. We are not going through doors just for ourselves but for others. It is similar to the principle Jesus spoke of when laying down His life: Jn.12:24 “I assure you, most solemnly I tell you, Unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains [just one grain; it never becomes more but lives] by itself alone. But if it dies, it produces many others and yields a rich harvest.” (Amplified) We must be willing to “lay down our lives” (Jn.10:15; 15:13), i.e., sacrifice to go through the doors of life and blessing for the benefit of that which is bigger than we are, namely, the Kingdom of God on earth. (Fifth excerpt from Marty’s article “Doors and Self-Government”)

Enjoy Energetic Existence
How long has it been since you actually felt good? How long has it been since you genuinely considered getting on a regular exercise routine?
The Lord God created us to be healthy and enjoy an energetic existence. I declare to you that you will find excuses, and even legitimate detriments, are losing their sway over you. May you exercise without the pain of infirmities. May weaknesses and restrictions be removed as you move and have your being in Him. May you make progress beyond what the demographics for your age suggest. (Acts 17:28) “For in Him we live, and move, and have our being. . .” and may your being be strong and vibrant. We are praying you discover daily that you are losing excuses and gaining strength and stamina. (Marty’s Daily Discovery as heard on TEXAS PRAISE RADIO at the bottom of the hour 24hrs/day.)
