I know that the Bible says that we are a nation of kings and priests but I believe that, from consideration of the assurances in holy Scripture, 
we could also accurately say that we are an Anticipation Nation. We can anticipate (1) seeing the direction of the Lord for our lives and our nation; (2) seeing things that are tending toward harm and/or interference (in our families, churches, jobs and nation) so they might be averted; (3) seeing blessings and advantages that are available to us through the promises and purposes of God Almighty; and (4) seeing strategy and how to pray for people we are concerned for. There are factors about our makeup that we can come to understand that will be of great value in fulfilling God’s plan for our life (2Tim.4:7). 
Learning what that makeup looks like, accepting it and releasing ourselves to express it freely, while relating to others who have a different makeup, is key to success. When we begin to take notice of how God has made us we can stay quite close to the trajectory our Lord has for His expression in our life’s walk. Then we more efficiently bring glory to God and are more fulfilled and at peace in our lives. A great example of scripture that shows us God has already moved in our tomorrow and what we can anticipate is Ps.77:19. (CEV) “You walked through the water of the mighty sea, but your footprints were never seen.” And The Message version says: “You strode right through Ocean, 
walked straight through roaring Ocean, but nobody saw you come or go.” God’s footprints were already in the bottom of the Red Sea before Israel ever left Egypt! An updated comparison might be: before they walked into 2018, God walked through the Red Sea in 2017. No one saw His footprints because they were looking at the circumstances with the considerations of the present age (cf. Rom 12:2). They had stopped considering God’s Word and had started considering the appearance of present circumstances. Most of them were looking back at Egypt wishing they had never screwed up the courage to walk out; desiring captivity and limited possibilities rather than trusting a God whose “mercies are new every morning” (that is a very strong hint that we should anticipate God). There are no surprises awaiting God in the remainder of 2017. His footprints are already out there in 2018. We are anticipating a Participating God who cannot be surprised. Are you dealing with people and worrisome things that weary you to the bone? Could those people and things easily be labeled “impossible”? 
Have you thought about giving up and letting go of hope? May you not give up on one thing or one person this week. A while back a person was regularly posting updates on Facebook to report their battle with a physical infirmity. Each time they posted, there 
was a particular individual who reassured them that they were praying but they would interject phrases like, “I have heard of that but I also know that is not good” or “I am praying and I hope that I don’t hear that it has gotten worse”. Those phrases have built-in anticipation for the fulfilling of their worst fears. Those negative aspects negate the positive sentiments being so feebly expressed. That person has a certain anticipation: the fulfillment of their fears. Platitudes and simplistic, typical replies are often an insult to the hearer, and what good has it done to release one’s fears into an atmosphere where the sufferer is likely already tentatively holding on to the last thread of positive consideration? As the people of God assemble today, may they hear and speak the never-failing Word of God that assures His people that He is on the throne and that their trust in Him is not misplaced. May they leave their respective places of worship with hope and enablement to meet tomorrow’s challenges with faith in their God.

What are each of us anticipating seeing in coming days? Though we have often heard it said, it couldn’t help but do us good to say it again, “I anticipate the inevitable, supernatural intervention of God”. If faith comes by hearing, we should stoke the belly of that powerful believing steam engine with Scripture and upward looking quotations of victorious anticipation. God has a plan for each of us to walk out in our life (Jer.29:11). Our Lord has put within each of us a personality, gifting and abilities that He 
has designed to use uniquely to His glory. They must become significant considerations in our growth and maturity development. The way our wise God put us together is the way He means for us to function effectively in His plan. You may become discouraged and stop short of that plan, but you don’t have to… not at any point. (Ps.139:13-14, ERV) “You formed the way I think and feel. “The Lord said to Moses, Has the Lord’s hand (His ability and power) become short (thwarted and inadequate)? You shall see now whether My 
word shall come to pass for you or not.” (Num.11:23, Amp) There is a lot unseen that is yet to be seen and it shall be seen that the Lord’s hand is not short that it cannot save nor is His ear deaf that it cannot hear. Some of the wonderful mysteries that await us in coming days shall be the wonder of seeing how our LORD shall fulfill His Word, i.e., seeing who and what He will employ to bring about that which only He can accomplish. What an apropos time for us to pray Elisha’s prayer for ourselves: 2Ki 6:16 “[Elisha] answered, Fear not; for those with us are more than those with them. 17 Then Elisha prayed, Lord, I pray You, open his eyes that he may see. And the Lord opened the young man’s eyes, and he saw, and behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha.” (Amp) (The first excerpt from Marty’s article “Anticipation Nation”)

In David’s son Absalom, the people got the appearance and looks that fit their agenda but they didn’t get the character in the man. He was able 
to present a fine appearance and a desirable program but there was no character behind the appearance. God’s Word and His principles and His character and His will are the metal of un-carnal weapons. For example, when we discover 
strongholds in our own lives that do not align with His word or principles or character or plans, humility can become an un-carnal weapon. The Word says that if we will humble ourselves He will give us grace. (1 Pet 5:5) So, when we choose to humble ourselves before God, we position ourselves to receive grace. Trust is a principle that is not impossible to live. It’s a choice. The only things that stand in the way are experience and lies, both of which have to bow to the truth. Sometimes we just have to start by giving up increments of concern to the faithfulness of God. It really is okay to let go. For some of us that is harder than it sounds, but the depth of breath experienced on the other side is extraordinary. We are in a season of miracles, signs, and wonders. Trust keeps the door open to dwell in His presence. We stay around those we trust. Ps.84:11 “For the Lord God is a sun and shield; The Lord bestows grace and favor and honor; No good thing will He withhold from those who walk uprightly.” Trust is the gateway to God’s intentions for us, equipping, protection, grace, favor and all good things. It makes sense that the summation of this Psalm is, “O Lord of hosts, How blessed and greatly favored is the man who trusts in You.” On top of being born to trust, these are compelling reasons to do so. The faithful God who set the seasons in undeniable order remains on His throne so that His order and purposes will be accomplished in the earth. As certainly as there is a summer that turns into fall and a fall that turns into winter there is One who sits above the machinations of unregenerate, self-serving men. People of faith will, therefore, align themselves with His order and contradict the disorder of faithlessness—step by step and day by day. “While the earth remains, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.” (Gen.8:22, Amp)

we could also accurately say that we are an Anticipation Nation. We can anticipate (1) seeing the direction of the Lord for our lives and our nation; (2) seeing things that are tending toward harm and/or interference (in our families, churches, jobs and nation) so they might be averted; (3) seeing blessings and advantages that are available to us through the promises and purposes of God Almighty; and (4) seeing strategy and how to pray for people we are concerned for. Learning what that makeup looks like, accepting it and releasing ourselves to express it freely, while relating to others who have a different makeup, is key to success. When we begin to take notice of how God has made us we can stay quite close to the trajectory our Lord has for His expression in our life’s walk. walked straight through roaring Ocean, but nobody saw you come or go.” God’s footprints were already in the bottom of the Red Sea before Israel ever left Egypt! An updated comparison might be: before they walked into 2018, God walked through the Red Sea in 2017. No one saw His footprints because they were looking at the circumstances with the considerations of the present age (cf. Rom 12:2). They had stopped considering God’s Word and had started considering the appearance of present circumstances. Most of them were looking back at Egypt wishing they had never screwed up the courage to walk out; desiring captivity and limited possibilities rather than trusting a God whose “mercies are new every morning” (that is a very strong hint that we should anticipate God). There are no surprises awaiting God in the remainder of 2017. His footprints are already out there in 2018. We are anticipating a Participating God who cannot be surprised. was a particular individual who reassured them that they were praying but they would interject phrases like, “I have heard of that but I also know that is not good” or “I am praying and I hope that I don’t hear that it has gotten worse”. Those phrases have built-in anticipation for the fulfilling of their worst fears. Those negative aspects negate the positive sentiments being so feebly expressed. That person has a certain anticipation: the fulfillment of their fears. Platitudes and simplistic, typical replies are often an insult to the hearer, and what good has it done to release one’s fears into an atmosphere where the sufferer is likely already tentatively holding on to the last thread of positive consideration? As the people of God assemble today, may they hear and speak the never-failing Word of God that assures His people that He is on the throne and that their trust in Him is not misplaced. May they leave their respective places of worship with hope and enablement to meet tomorrow’s challenges with faith in their God.
May the Lord help tithers and givers to find ways to save money on purchases. May your eyes be opened to avenues of discount and event-sales that you have not been aware of previously. May you pay off purchases ahead of time and save on interest rates. May the Lord grant you favor to do business with those who are of the household of faith and bless them as you enjoy peace with them in the purchasing process. “I will give you the treasures of darkness And hidden riches of secret places, That you may know that I, the Lord, Who call you by your name, Am the God of Israel.” (Isa.45:3, NKJV)
What are each of us anticipating seeing in coming days? Though we have often heard it said, it couldn’t help but do us good to say it again, “I anticipate the inevitable, supernatural intervention of God”. If faith comes by hearing, we should stoke the belly of that powerful believing steam engine with Scripture and upward looking quotations of victorious anticipation. has designed to use uniquely to His glory. They must become significant considerations in our growth and maturity development. The way our wise God put us together is the way He means for us to function effectively in His plan. You may become discouraged and stop short of that plan, but you don’t have to… not at any point. word shall come to pass for you or not.” (Num.11:23, Amp) There is a lot unseen that is yet to be seen and it shall be seen that the Lord’s hand is not short that it cannot save nor is His ear deaf that it cannot hear. Some of the wonderful mysteries that await us in coming days shall be the wonder of seeing how our LORD shall fulfill His Word, i.e., seeing who and what He will employ to bring about that which only He can accomplish. What an apropos time for us to pray Elisha’s prayer for ourselves: 2Ki 6:16 “[Elisha] answered, Fear not; for those with us are more than those with them. 17 Then Elisha prayed, Lord, I pray You, open his eyes that he may see. to present a fine appearance and a desirable program but there was no character behind the appearance. Absalom got the results of a self-promoter and Israel got the privilege of dealing with the fallout. Maybe if we give ourselves to time and process and track records, we will have less fallout to deal with. Quality decisions and relationship over time engender trust. May the Lord open the eyes of His people that they be aware of chicanery and fraud before they become victim to it. May those who have fallen victim have their loss restored seven times, while those who cheat others learn the error of their ways.
As the people of God assemble today, may they be filled with the fullness of God and challenged to a new level in what our Lord has in His purposes for each member of the Body of Christ, as we stand for our families and as we confront the present climate of culture in our nation. “May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; 19 And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God. 20 Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,” (Eph.3:18-20, KJV)
May the Lord steer us away from obligations, issues, and religious and political pet-peeves, that would occupy time and require energy that we are not ordained to pour ourselves into. “Keep your eyes straight ahead; ignore all sideshow distractions.” (Prov.4:25, Msg)
strongholds in our own lives that do not align with His word or principles or character or plans, humility can become an un-carnal weapon. The Word says that if we will humble ourselves He will give us grace. (1 Pet 5:5) So, when we choose to humble ourselves before God, we position ourselves to receive grace. That means we are enabled to change and the stronghold is brought down. (Kathy Gabler)

Trust is a principle that is not impossible to live. It’s a choice. The only things that stand in the way are experience and lies, both of which have to bow to the truth. Sometimes we just have to start by giving up increments of concern to the faithfulness of God. It really is okay to let go. For some of us that is harder than it sounds, but the depth of breath experienced on the other side is extraordinary. We are in a season of miracles, signs, and wonders. Trust keeps the door open to dwell in His presence. We stay around those we trust. Ps.84:11 “For the Lord God is a sun and shield; The Lord bestows grace and favor and honor; No good thing will He withhold from those who walk uprightly.” Trust is the gateway to God’s intentions for us, equipping, protection, grace, favor and all good things. It makes sense that the summation of this Psalm is, “O Lord of hosts, How blessed and greatly favored is the man who trusts in You.” On top of being born to trust, these are compelling reasons to do so. As the people of God assemble today, may they receive counsel from the Mighty Counselor as His Word is preached and as the people of God each release to the other, in their encouragement and conversation, that wisdom which is from the mind of God Almighty for the edification of His people.
The faithful God who set the seasons in undeniable order remains on His throne so that His order and purposes will be accomplished in the earth. As certainly as there is a summer that turns into fall and a fall that turns into winter there is One who sits above the machinations of unregenerate, self-serving men. People of faith will, therefore, align themselves with His order and contradict the disorder of faithlessness—step by step and day by day. “While the earth remains, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.” (Gen.8:22, Amp)
