God’s Completeness for the Incomplete

As the people of God assemble today may they realize the completeness of God for the condition of lost mankind and live and speak representatively that the lost may know the One they are longing for.   “Indeed, the Son of Man has come to seek and to save people who are lost.” (Lk.19:10, GW)

May God Give Health

May the Lord cause your number of doctor visits to decrease. May He give health to your teeth, your bones and your mind, and may the number of hours you rest at night increase.  “A calm and undisturbed mind and heart are the life and health of the body, but envy, jealousy, and wrath are like rottenness of the bones. (Prov.14:30, Amp)

April is For Embracing the Promises of God

Meme by Melissa Gabler. A photo she took on her trip to Ireland. (Powerscourt Estate)

The month of APRIL IS FOR EMBRACING THE PROMISES OF GOD and clinging to them, in spite of present appearances, while knowing that the Lord God is faithful to His promises. ”Blessed be the Lord God of Israel, who has fulfilled with His hands what He spoke with His mouth… (2Chron.6:4, NKJV)   “being fully convinced that what He had promised He was also able to perform. (Rom.4:21, NKJV)

That Was Then But This is Now

“They” are still saying, “That was then but this is now. What God did then, doesn’t happen now.” Jesus preached to 5,000 at one time. Reinhard Bonnke preaches to hundreds of thousands at a time. In one service, entire cities are accepting Jesus Christ as Savior. On one island in the South Pacific, the king and his prime minister help oversee Gospel ministries and the training of ministers which are being sent to Europe. Those who say “that was then but this is now” don’t really mind quoting the old hymn which speaks of God having worked in “mysterious ways, His wonders to perform” but they are not inclined to trust Him to work in mysterious ways now. However, God is working in mysterious ways and performing wonders quite out of the ordinary in the earth, in this hour. In this hour God will have a supernatural people who are no strangers to His supernatural ways.

Jesus Doesn’t Pull Backward

The Lord Jesus doesn’t pull people backward. With His Word and Holy Spirit, He propels them forward. People, memories and failures tend to pull us backward. Apostle Paul said (Phil.3:13), “I forget those things which are behind and I reach forward to those things which are ahead.” It is very difficult to reach forward intending to grasp the prize when we have armfuls of past clutter preventing progress. That “reach forward” in v.13 means to reach beyond the places we have stopped in the past. We will no longer stop at the roadblocks and barriers we have yielded to in the past. Paul said, “I press toward the goal in Christ Jesus.” We are praying you discover daily that you are forgetting what is behind so you can press toward the goal. The Ordinary Ordained by God

Something very ordinary ordained by God to be applied in a unique circumstance turned the tide for a nation. Though the giant loomed large in the valley (1Sam.17:3-4), God had sent a shepherd boy over the top of the hill for the purpose of going down into that valley to contradict the giant. An army did not take out the giant. A small smooth stone from an ordinary shepherd’s sling was all it took to end the giant’s career. The faithful God of Israel still does business the same way He always has.

I See That

I see that! When we hear something or read something and say “I see that” are we “seeing” only in the sense of ocular recognition or mental consent, or are we seeing in the sense of perception for the purpose of application? Does that simply mean that we can see that they have stated a truth or does it actually mean that we can see the value of that truth for our lives and are willing to act on it?  Prov.1:1-4 (21st CKJV) ”The Proverbs of Solomon the son of David, king of Israel: to know wisdom and instruction; to perceive the words of understanding to receive the instruction of wisdom, justice, judgment, and equity; to give subtlety to the simple, and to the young man knowledge and discretion.”

JESUS Who Endured the Cross

As the people of God assemble today may they fix their eyes on Jesus who endured the cross, despised the shame and is now set down at the right hand of the throne of God. May they know that Jesus rose from the dead because there was more to come.   “Therefore, since we have so great a cloud of witnesses surrounding us, let us also lay aside every encumbrance and the sin which so easily entangles us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us,  2 FIXING OUR EYES ON JESUS, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.”  (Heb.12:1-2, NAU)

Jesus Conquered Through it All

“JESUS did not conquer in spite of the dark mystery of evil, He conquered through it.”  (Quote found in my notes)
”… I died, but see, I am alive forevermore, and I have the keys of [absolute control and victory over] death and of Hades (the realm of the dead).(Rev.1:18, Amp)

The Resurrection is a Guarantee

As surely as the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead was a guarantee, just so, the resurrection that is “IN JESUS” is working in believers. The resurrection is “in” JESUS. If He is able to rise from the dead by that resurrection power that is in Him and if He is able to raise us up from the dead, wouldn’t it follow that He is able to raise up in us now those God-given promises and dreams that have become buried under the passing of time and the pressing of unrelenting circumstances?  The religious experts promoting lifeless religion were “greatly disturbed because [the apostles] were teaching the people and proclaiming IN JESUS the resurrection from the dead.” (Acts 4:2, NASB) Those religious spirits were “thoroughly pained” because the truth and reality of the resurrection IN JESUS was the power of redemptive demonstration:  “And with great power gave the apostles witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus: and great grace was upon them all.” (Acts 4:33, KJV; Acts 4:13 “unlearned men” with resurrection power in them) Resurrection power points to the Person of JESUS, not to religious tenets and their officious practitioners.

Say Thank You in the Night

Thank God in the Night. May we awaken in the night to give thanks and to receive insight and be stirred in the truth that our God is available to those who seek Him and may we return expectantly to restful sleep knowing that He is acting in our behalf.   “…I get up in the middle of the night to thank you; your decisions are so right, so true—I can’t wait till morning!” (Ps.119:60, Msg)

Someone Greater Than the Walls

The walls of Jericho, though formidable as they were, could not prevail and keep Israel out of where Israel was supposed to be.  Those walls held great fame in the land. They were not something anyone or anyone’s army would even attempt to breach.  However, Israel did not even have to breach the walls. The supremacy of the authority and presence of God and the glory of God breached the walls so that they fell down flat.  “By faith, the Israelites marched around the walls of Jericho for seven days, and the walls fell flat.” (Heb.11:30, Msg)

The Best Way to Pray

On a camping trip three men were discussing the best way to pray. One man claimed that standing on one’s head is the best way to pray, that the best praying he ever did was when he fell into a dry well headfirst. Whether standing or kneeling, we must each determine to have a place of prayer and to pray daily. May your home be a house of prayer where prayers are offered for each of those who dwell there. May it be a place of agreement for your needs and for the salvation of family.
(Acts 16:31, GW)  “They answered, ‘Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you and your family will be saved.’”  We are praying you discover daily that your home is a place where prayer is often spoken and heard.  (Marty’s Daily Discovery as heard at the bottom of each hour on Texas Praise Internet Radio)

Releasing Others

(Kathy) — As we release others, dead or alive, from what they owe us in apology for pain, hassle, grief or injustice, we are freed up from the debt we have built. Debt erased from our future will change it. Forgiveness is an investment in your future.  “And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.” (Matt.6:12, KJV)

God is Like His Word

As the people of God assemble today, may they be taught, reminded, encouraged, assured that God’s Word is just like Him, “the same yesterday, today and forever”. May the people of God encourage one another to stand on His unfailing Word so that as the wind blows and the waves crash, the house will continue to stand. “The grass withers, the flower fades, But the word of our God stands forever.” (Isa.40:8, NKJV)

2018 — Remarkable

(Melissa Gabler) — One last note, I just found it very interesting how the State of the Union Address was the same night as the Super Blue Blood Moon. Go with me here: the moon affects the tide. This was a very rare event in our nation. Likewise a President of the United States ending the SOTU Address with, “Trust in God”, was a rare event the same night, and both are affecting the tide of our nation. The tide has turned. Let’s do this. Let’s declare to the year 2018, “You are going to be a remarkable year”.  (Last excerpt from Melissa Gabler’s article “2018 So Far”.)

Synergy of Relationships

(Apostle Jim Hodges) — “The synergy of covenantal relationships produces more comprehensive and effectual ministry. Of course, there must be some level of trust for such relationships to form and maximize the Lord’s ministry among us. We trust God and must learn to trust one another. Those who stay in isolation because they cannot trust will minimize their gift and calling.”

God is not Mocked

(Melissa) — Yeah, I’d say that the festering had to be dealt with last year! The poison had to be extracted. So, the first quarter of this year is when we begin to see what God has been dealing with nationally and personally. That is why there is a seeming mix of last year’s funk along with “finally—suddenlies”. That last bit of poison has a tendency to try and hold on for dear life. So, don’t give up, ” 7 Do not be deceived, God is not mocked [He will not allow Himself to be ridiculed, nor treated with contempt nor allow His precepts to be scornfully set aside]; for whatever a man sows, this and this only is what he will reap. 8 For the one who sows to his flesh [his sinful capacity, his worldliness, his disgraceful impulses] will reap from the flesh ruin and destruction, but the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life. 9 Let us not grow weary or become discouraged in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap, if we do not give in.” (Galatians 6:7-9 AMP). IT IS TIME. (Third excerpt from Melissa Gabler’s article “2018 So Far”.)

The Culture of the Kingdom

(Simon Purvis) — Jesus didn’t tell His disciples to go out and preach the gospel so a few people could go to heaven. He commissioned them to disciple the nations. The preaching of the gospel is to get people free from an evil age, getting people delivered from an evil culture over into an age where there is righteousness, where we can walk right, our families can be right, our character can be right. The church is a different culture than this age and God intends for the culture of the Kingdom of God in the church to change the society out there in the evil age. (From Bro. Simon’s message at KC2018)

Band Aids Being Removed

When I heard that there would be pus extraction in 2017, it was with the realization that it was being extracted in these areas (to name a few) with a view toward 2018: GOVERNMENT LEADERS with dark roots e.g., Traitors, Tyrants, Secret Societies, Slave Masters and those which have held manipulative sway in the high courts of this land! WITCHES are being brought to the light so their tentacles will be cut off of this nation and THE CHURCH; SOCIETY’S BANDAIDS like, “Anything goes because I’m a victim“ are also being extracted. RELIGIOUS IDEALS like man-made, manipulative ideology that has held sway in the man-made “high positions” of the church were also extracted. This year of extraction also included our being extracted from captivity and we are victoriously coming out with all the bells and whistles GOD had originally installed!

Extracting the Poison

(Melissa Gabler)  I remember at the beginning of last year hearing 2017 is the year of pus extraction. Therefore, a drawing salve season began: The reason drawing salve works is that it softens the skin around the splinter or whatever else is in there and this then enables the body to more easily eject the foreign object. This is something that the body does naturally anyway, but by moisturizing the area and using anti-inflammatory agents you simply encourage this to work more quickly before the wound closes over it. At the same time it can encourage blood flow which will also help to create pus, and as the pus is ejected from the body so too is the foreign object. That last bit of poison has a tendency to try and hold on for dear life. So, don’t give up (Gal.6:7-9)  (Second excerpt from Melissa Gabler’s article “2018 So Far”.)

Unified, Care, Vision

As the people of God assemble today may they become more unified in their connections with one another, their care for one another and their vision for their city.  ”So that there should be no division or discord or lack of adaptation [of the parts of the body to each other], but the members all alike should have a mutual interest in and care for one another.”. (1Cor.12:25, Amp)
