Displace Dependencies
As the people of God assemble today may the Lord Jesus Christ walk into the gatherings of His people and displace dependencies among His people with the
powerful overcoming presence of the Holy Spirit. Holy Spirit will hover over His people until the chaos of dependencies (personality, emotional, prescription drugs, illegal drugs, alcohol) is brought to order and liberty. Gen.1:2, Amp — “The earth was without form and an empty waste, and darkness was upon the face of the very great deep. The Spirit of God was moving (hovering, brooding) over the face of the waters.” Lk.24:49, Amp “And behold, I will send forth upon you what My Father has promised; but remain in the city [Jerusalem] until you are clothed with power from on high.” 2Cor.3:17, Amp — “Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty (emancipation from bondage, freedom).”

Mighty Tempest Blast
It was at least the equivalent of a Boeing 747 landing in the middle of downtown Jerusalem on the day of
Pentecost at 9:00 in the morning. And since they had no point of reference for such a tempest blast they became quite perplexed (unable to grasp something clearly or to think logically and decisively about something), cf.Acts 2:6,7,12. There was no warning that a Mighty manifestation would blast them suddenly into the miraculous church age where signs and wonders would follow them that believe (Mk.16:17). Believers were praying like their Lord had commanded them in the place He had commanded them to receive what He had commanded them (Lk.24:49) so that they could do what He had commanded them.

Taking in Possibilities
When Jesus addressed Philip in John 6 about where the bread would come from to feed 5,000 people Philip simply was not looking beyond the limitations of his own experiences that he might see the possibilities of the workings and wonders of the Son of God. Philip didn’t even have to come up with any money nor any bread or fish. Andrew is the one who acquired the boy’s lunch. But in order to participate in the miracle, all Philip had to have was capacity – the ability to take in possibilities beyond his own experiences and limitations. The advantage Philip had was that he had been with Jesus—the same advantage you and I have (Matt.28:18-20; Lk.24:49; Jn.14:23).

The Holy Spirit Is Available
Jn 16:13 “But when He, the Spirit of truth, comes, He will guide you into all the truth; for He will not speak on His own initiative, but whatever
He hears, He will speak; and He will disclose to you what is to come. 14 “He will glorify Me, for He will take of Mine and will disclose it to you. 15 “All things that the Father has are Mine; therefore I said that He takes of Mine and will disclose it to you.” The Holy Spirit now makes available to all what was only available to a few in the Old Testament. (Lk24:49; Jn16:13; 20:22; Acts1:8; Eph5:18; 1Jn2:20) We must have impartation from the Holy Spirit to know what is to come. He takes the things of Jesus and shows them to us. Jesus is the One who has a future and if we are to participate in HIS future, we need to know the things that are of Him.
Isa 33:5 “The LORD is exalted, for He dwells on high; He has filled Zion with justice and righteousness. 6 And He will be the stability of your times, A wealth of salvation, wisdom and knowledge; The fear of the LORD is his treasure.” (Amp)
“He is the God who does the undoable,
changes the unchangeable,
and provides the impossible.”

The Holy Spirit Is More
You are more than your constituent parts by the power of the Holy Spirit. In your constituent parts, you are arms and legs and head and torso and talent and ability but by the power of the Holy Spirit you are much more today. In you, the Holy Spirit will be more than you are and, in you, He will do more than you can do. He will be what you are not and do what you cannot do.
“But you shall receive power (ability, efficiency, and might) when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you shall be…” (Acts 1:8, Amp)

The Kingdom, The Process, The Benefit
The Kingdom, The Process, The Benefit
Most of us have been vaguely aware of things going on in the spirit realm and their effect in the natural realm. We may not have been acutely tuned in to what is happening but we are grateful that they have been happening and that there are, at least, some results that are noticeable and some that are of benefit to our way of thinking.
We are glad to be identified with Christianity. People who first came into contact with Jesus in His earthly ministry noticed His miracles of healing and bread-breaking and followed Him for those benefits. They did not seem to produce or accomplish anything except fill the ranks as onlookers and receivers of benefits. His twelve disciples followed him for a few years as he spoke of and demonstrated the Kingdom of God. In teaching them to pray, He taught them a prayer of offering themselves as agency for the coming of that Kingdom into this earth (Mt 6:9-13). He spent His last forty days on this earth speaking to them of the Kingdom of God (Acts 1:3) and then He sent His Holy Spirit to empower them for their part in demonstrating the Kingdom (Lk 24:49; Acts 1:8).
