Melissa Gabler—How do you deal with accusation if you feel like this is a force against you? The message I heard offered 4 steps to deal with the power of accusation. (Important note: This force was built using words so you will need to use words to break it.)
1. Forgive and bless. Things won’t change if you don’t forgive. Wash your accuser with blessing. “I’m asking you to bless them, their family. May your mercy come on them.” Forgiveness and blessing are foundational for victory.
2. Realize and confess you do the same thing. If you don’t confess you won’t have the authority to break it over yourself. Simply ask for forgiveness then break your words off of people. Don’t worry about going down the list of everyone you know to break words off of them. The Holy Spirit will bring faces before you if there are specific things you need to break. Also, it would do good for all of us to realize we have accused ourselves of all sorts of things. I feel it’s important to break those words we’ve spoken over ourselves!
3. Be grateful. Gratitude is important because it is the opposite of resentment. Begin to think of the things you can give thanks for and let it out of your mouth.
4. Break those words off of your life. This is a curse (witchcraft) sent against you (Galatians 5:19-20). You have to break it.
We are at a threshold of phenomenal breakthrough and I believe this is one big nasty force that is trying to keep us out of the next season. It can’t. It is not as powerful as the original intent of God. So, if you don’t break through you just keep working at it! Be vigilant and keep working at it until you have victory because victory is God’s original intent for you.

Larry Burden — Bitter roots are defined as sinful reactions to painful events. The events, themselves, do not cause the root. The reaction to the events is at the core of the bitter root. Bitter roots express themselves as condemning judgments of people or the refusal or inability to forgive those who have hurt us. They manifest as names or careless words that we have either thought about, called others, or said about the ones who have hurt us. They are powerful toxic pollutants that damage and defile our souls and others around us as well. In response to hurts, wounds, or painful events, we express condemning judgments. We may try to push down the hurts, rationalize them, blow them off, or simply just pass them off as no big deal. But they are big deals! Over time these seeds of bitterness will build a root system and, if left unchecked, become the driving force of our personality, manifesting such things as: Cynicism, Apathy, Negativity and more. Kathy — Mature sons know that walking confidently in the freedom and power of forgiveness only happens “AS” we forgive others and un-tether them from a future dictated by the past. As we release others, dead or alive, from what they owe us in apology for pain, hassle, grief or injustice, we are freed up from the debt we have built. Debt erased from our future will change it. Matt.6:12,TPT—“Forgive us the wrongs we have done as we ourselves release forgiveness to those who have wronged us.”

Kathy — A person who has been abused will find it hard to forgive when emotion 
demands they keep a vigil over injustice. Thinking differently would mean trusting God’s Word that He is faithful to bring justice. It is a challenge to forgive by choice; it is a directive from the God we trust. God supplies enabling grace to follow His directive and forgive when it is not deserved. Though difficult, it is not impossible. Matt.6:14, Amp — “For if you forgive people their trespasses [their reckless and willful sins, leaving them, letting them go, and giving up resentment], your heavenly Father will also forgive you.”
