Focus Back on Possibility
The attitude of cynicism tends to be contagious: the attitude of the person who has been somewhere and it was a disappointing venue, now others
don’t want to go there; the attitude of the person who was married and it was a disappointing experience, now others don’t want to take the chance on marriage; the attitude of the person who went all out to succeed but they ended up broke and embarrassed for having even tried, now others are afraid to step out. Cynicism displaces anticipation and induces lethargy. We must dwell on the God of the impossible and His Word that brings our focus back to all possibility. He is God and will never cease being everything He has always been. Our experiences plus the experiences of others, or even the lack of experiences, do not determine the ability of God to do wonders among His people. The Bible does not say, “All things are possible to him who has always had a perfect track record.” But it does say, “… If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.” (Mk.9:23, NKJV)

Available Imagination
A child is always full of anticipation and is always using their imagination to carry them beyond the mundane of ever-present limitations. When children approached Jesus in Mark 10:13-15 He expressed a desire to be surrounded by them and their minds ripe with anticipation. He announced to
the deeply, zealous religious people around Him that He desired they become like those little ones who don’t try entering the Kingdom with agendas, preconceived ideas, preferences and jaded imaginations which leave no room for the limitless possibilities of Almighty God. It would appear from this context that we will not see (v.15) the awesome, mind-shattering acts of the rule and power of Jehovah unless we approach Him with an imagination and attitude of anticipation to enter into His redemptive workings in this hour of unprecedented need and opportunity. Many have made their time, talents and money available to God to do the predictable, but mustn’t we make our childlike imaginations available to participate with a God Who has never been creatively stagnant and Who has never bowed to limit Himself to the mundane?

Hearts That Anticipate
As the people of God assemble today, may they turn their hearts, thoughts and considerations to who God is and to HIS capacity and begin to anticipate what only God can do in this morning’s meeting, in our personal lives and in our nation. May our hearts anticipate what we have never seen so that we call upon Him expectantly.
“But as for me, I will watch expectantly for the LORD; I will wait for the God of my salvation, my God will hear me.” (Mic.7:7)
Marty is speaking at Grace International Church today at 10:00am.

2016 Declaration #6
I DECLARE: **6. WE WILL BE GOING TO THE NEXT LEVEL OF EVERYTHING.
The next level of (1) health, (2) prosperity, (3) influence, (4) effectiveness, (5) favor, (6) insight, (7) discernment, (8) expectancy, (9) next level beyond ordinary.
–Going beyond previous measures for greater results.
The degree of movement will depend upon the individual.
—We will not be stopping at old crossroads to just stand there and not cross.
—We will not be stopping at old intersections just to turn and go back to old places.
—Not stopping at old thresholds, old gates.
—Not stopping at all the old piles of stuff that have been normal, typical, acceptable — yet they have hindered progress.
—Not stopping at old places of giving up.
—Challenges that have defeated us in the past will not defeat us in this season.
(Each year these declarations come out of seasons of prayer for those with whom Marty has a degree of influence. If you would like to read all seven you may go to this link: https://martygabler.com/2016-declarations/)

Powerful Name of JESUS
I DECLARE: **2. You will find the Name of JESUS to be very powerful.
—You will invoke His Name and see Him heal, see Him deliver others out of impossible strongholds of bondage and strongholds of fear.
—You will invoke His Name and see how marvelously He delivers you from the threat of harm, from bullies, from a violent spouse or parent or other relative.
(God is delivering elderly people from abuse by their children and others.)
—You will invoke the Name of Jesus and the atmosphere will change.

The Pace Of Purpose
The Pace Of Purpose (Kathy)
Another consideration in that gap between expectation and manifestation is the pace of purpose during process. We must adjust our passions to the pace of purpose
rather than trying to adjust God’s purpose to the pace of our passions. Whether we can see how or not, our purpose always connects to other people and a bigger picture. So, the pace of our purpose will ebb and flow at times because of who and what surrounds us in a season. Expectations and discernment can get bogged down during the ebbs, so keeping our “expector” above the bog is essential. I am not implying that it is a new thing for the Holy Spirit to release insights, but I believe they are going to increase in dimension and impact to a new level this year.

Time Between Expectation And Manifestation
Time Between Expectation And Manifestation (by Kathy Gabler)
One thing that keeps us walking steadily forward in working out our salvation and our purpose is expectation. The length of time between expectation and manifestation is rarely
predictable and usually only clear to God and hindsight. In that gap between “the now” and “the future,” that gap between “anticipate” and “achieve,” that gap between “reach” and “hold,” our greatest challenge is to keep processing and not give up. Perhaps we will be more apt not to quit if we understand three things about expectation: 1) Expectation is a force to be reckoned with because it can build a runway for the future. Expectation can be a literal form of agreement that opens a portal into our lives. 2) One snare to beware of is that expectations can lock you down. People tend to watch for and only hear what they expect and so they are blinded to the hand of God moving in any other way. Our single focus on specific expectations can make us miss the real answer to our prayers. 3) Another snare is that expectations are not always positive. People expect condemnation when they feel guilty. People expect failure because of experience. People expect rejection because of wounds. Training and aligning our expectations is one way to prepare to see and receive God-results through process this year.

Destiny Does Not Abandon
Destiny Does Not Abandon
If we abandon creation physically and/or emotionally, who or what is left to answer its groaning? Who or what will meet the deep, expectant waiting of the creature? Rom 8:14, 19 shows us that it is the destiny of the Church to be the answer to that cry. 14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God… 19 For the EARNEST EXPECTATION of the creature WAITETH for the manifestation of the sons of God. If the world cannot experience the destiny of the Church, what good is its destiny? The Church’s destiny cannot be separated from the purpose of Jesus coming to earth. That purpose was redemptive. (Lk 19:10; 1Co 1:30) The Holy Spirit abiding in and working through the Church is the only hope this world has got. (Mt 4:13-14) “Manifestation” simply put means that we come to be and do and act like what we were born for.
