2018 Declarations

2018 DECLARATIONS  (Version for Kids is at bottom.)

As you are able to agree with and own these declarations (1) you will be built up in your most holy faith (Jude 1:20) and (2) you will have a tool to war with that can defeat the enemy at several points in the coming year.

Each year I pray and ask the Lord for declarations to make  (1)  over people within my sphere of influence, for  (2)  those with whom I have some degree of influence and for  (3)  those who desire to claim them and come into agreement with them in prayer. I am making these declarations to those with whom I have a degree of influence (Paul said, “I stay in my metron (Gk.)”—2Cor.10:13-15; “metron” is a sphere of influence.

These declarations are for (1) prayer points (points that we pray over regularly) and (2) points of agreement (points that we put agreement to in the atmosphere—agreeing with the purposes of God and with one another).  If you desire to be a recipient of and a participant in these declarations, you should  (1)  agree and (2)  pray them through and (3) declare them (cf.Paul in Acts 27-in face of impossibilities and opposing views).  These will come by prayer (and perhaps fasting) and applying ourselves.

Each year individuals, churches and prayer groups join us in prayer and agreement throughout the year over the declarations believing God for His (1)  redemptive intervention in our lives,  (2)  our churches and in  (3)  our nation and for  (4)  enablement for our Lord’s Kingdom purposes.  Each year individuals contact us to tell us about the declarations coming to pass in their lives after they have claimed them and prayed them through the year.

(I received them during seasons of prayer.)

The focus I believe I have been given is to help us bring our focus onto matters in our metron that we can impact. The things we can’t touch with our involvement and influence, we can touch with prayer.

Job 15:17 – What I have seen I will also declare

Ps 9:11- declare among the people His deeds

Isa 42:9- God promises that before new things spring forth, He will declare them

48:5-6 – God wants His mercies and gracious acts declared before He does them so it may be known that HE is the God of command & what HE commands, comes to pass

Kids Version: Adventure is Out There: Ready, Set, Go!

Taking a step more in the direction the Lord has you headed in within your bent, your calling, your purpose. This is the year for stepping up to the next level of your purpose and function in the Kingdom of God.

a.) If you have been praying for people to be healed of colds, you will start praying for people to be healed of cancer.

b.) This is the year to take the test for the next highest position in the company you work for.

c.) This is the year, if you have a high school degree, to take the step toward a bachelor’s degree; take step toward masters.

d.) This is the year to study things in the Bible you have never studied before. Buy books and software.

e.) This is the year to take the necessary step in the direction of health and nutrition.

f.) This is the year to set aside a daily, designated time for prayer and devotion. Buy a daily journal.

g.) This is the year for some to take the step into leadership.

Peter walked on water.
Some have let go of the mast and taken a step toward the gunwale but have only peeked over the side. Some have reached the gunwale and have climbed up and are dangling their feet over the side but have stopped there.

All 12 disciples could have taken the next step and gotten off the side and onto the water but Peter was the only one who did. The only people who criticize Peter for going down in the waves are people who are standing on shore in dry weather; are those who are satisfied to continue sitting right where they are now.

cf. Phil.3:13 Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but [this] one thing [I do], forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,

Phi 3:14  I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. (KJV)

—“reaching forth to those things that are before”
i.e.-reaching beyond a barrier; reaching beyond something that has not been passed before

Kids: God has a mission for us and we choose to accept it!

We will be more in alignment to cooperate more effectively with the workings of the Lord. We will cooperate more and be more sensitive to God’s supernatural, to His intervention from the spirit realm. Not just tagging along with the Christian/Church crowd but taking steps on purpose rather than just taking steps because it seems to be the “natural order” of things.

May the Lord grant to you today the assurance that you are connected to His heart so that you may know what is in His heart for you and that you may do that which is in His heart for others. You are connected to the heart of God so that He may work with you and give indisputable evidence of His Kingdom through your life.

“Then I will raise up for Myself a faithful priest who shall do according to what is in MY heart and in MY mind. I will build him a sure house, and he shall walk before My anointed forever.” (1Sam.2:35, NKJV)

“And the disciples went everywhere preaching, the Master working right with them, validating the Message with indisputable evidence.” (Mk.16:20, Msg)

“I carefully charted out my paths to align my steps with Your decrees.” (Ps.119:59, Voice)

“Lend an ear, listen to these words of the wise, and align your thought with my instructions.” (Prov.22:17, Voice)

Kids: Look! Jesus has something to show us!

We will keep our eyes wide open to see what the Lord is wanting to show us 1) concerning His truths, 2) concerning situations that are working against us, 3) concerning conniving people, 4) concerning opportunities, 5) concerning how we can impact lives of others, 6) concerning how we can pray and declare over our nation and its leaders, 7) concerning current world events, e.g., when hear about missiles in N Korea, pray for the propulsion system to fail, guidance system to fail.

“Call to Me and I will answer you and show you great and mighty things, fenced in and hidden, which you do not know (do not distinguish and recognize, have knowledge of and understand).” (Jer.33:3, AMPC)

Kids: Holy Spirit will be our guide!

We will set our hearts and minds to be faithful in our sensitivity toward the Holy Spirit and the Word of God so that we do not simply involve ourselves or embrace just anything that comes along or that the rest of society believes is acceptable.

“…he continuously exhorted (warned, urged, and encouraged) them all to cleave unto and remain faithful to and devoted to the Lord with [resolute and steady] purpose of heart.” (Acts 11:23, Ampc)

Kids: Our little messages from God will do big things!

You are going to find that the simplest things the Lord inspires you to say to someone are going to be the most powerful. You are the bearer of His Spirit, of His Living Word. Those words will be of the Lord and they will impact that person or persons and those persons will walk away from you carrying something they did not have before you spoke.

Prayers and declarations do not have to be complicated. Just get out in the moment what needs to get into the atmosphere.

”What I tell you in darkness, speak in the light; and what you hear, proclaim on the housetops.” (Matt.10:27)

(The Kid’s Declarations are written by Brian and Hannah Sherman, the
children’s ministers at Grace International Church  Willis,TX. They lead the children in a different declaration each Sunday.)

Kid’s Declarations:

1. Adventure is out there: Ready, set, go!

2. God has a mission for us and we choose to accept it!

3. Look! Jesus has something to show us!

4. Holy Spirit will be our guide!

5. Our little messages from God will do big things!

I will not allow any person nor any adverse circumstance to determine the lifespan of the hope God originally put in me.

Jehovah is the God who does the undoable,

changes the unchangeable and

provides the impossible.

24 The Lord bless you and watch, guard, and keep you;

25 The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you;

26 The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).

May the words of Yahveh be alive in you all through this coming year.
May they resonate in your thoughts so that they counsel you, invigorate you, guide you and fill you with hope.
“When you go, they [the words of your parents’ God] shall lead you; when you sleep, they shall keep you; and when you waken, they shall talk with you.” (Prov.6:22, Amp)

May you be able to maintain your confidence in God and His will for you as you face every trial and discouragement. May our Lord help you endure and accomplish all He has designed for you to walk in.

“Do not, therefore, fling away your fearless confidence, for it carries a great and glorious compensation of reward. For you have need of steadfast patience and endurance, so that you may perform and fully accomplish the will of God, and thus receive and carry away [and enjoy to the full] what is promised.” (Heb.10:35-36, Amp)
