God will never change His mind about what we were born to be and born to do, for the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable. (Rom 11:29, NKJ) However, He will remodel our understanding of “how” to walk out that calling when necessary, and He will reassure us when we are shaken, and He will provide undeniable confirmation to strengthen us along the way. I pray we yield to His remodeling and wait for and recognize His confirmations. May we not be stubborn out of fear or reckless out of frustration, and may we not be impatient with His timing. May we have the courage to walk with Him and see our gifts and callings confirmed. –Kathy
Mary said to the angel,”How shall this be?” -Lk.1:34. It is interesting that Zachariah, in Lk.1:18, asked “How?” also, but the question got him in big trouble! Luke 1:18-20 And Zechariah said to the angel, “How shall I know this? For I am an old man, and my wife is advanced in years.” And the angel answered him, “I am Gabriel, who stand in the presence of God; and I was sent to speak to you, and to bring you this good news. And behold, you will be silent and unable to speak until the day that these things come to pass, because you did not believe my words, which will be fulfilled in their time.” (RSV)
There were obviously some major differences in the two questioners. Mary was a young girl with little experience in spiritual matters, but Zachariah was a seasoned spiritual leader. There is no indication Mary had prayed for a child, and there is definitely no evidence she had prayed to birth Immanuel. However, Gabriel had come with an answer to Zachariah’s specific prayers for a son! Mary was a virgin with no known means of approaching her mandate. However, Gabriel did not bring a mandate that Zachariah did not know HOW to complete. So, technically, Zachariah was asking, “How can I be sure it will be worth the effort for me, an old man, to pursue this venture?” That really was not an innocent request for confirmation, rather a rebuttal gathered through undeniable years of “tried and couldn’t” disappointments. —Kathy
May the Lord stir you concerning His nearness and interest in you by touching your heart, by angels ministering around your bed and by speaking to you in dreams.
“The wise counsel God gives when I’m awake is confirmed by my sleeping heart. Day and night I’ll stick with God; I’ve got a good thing going and I’m not letting go.” (Ps.16:8, Msg)

(Melissa Gabler)—I’ve been dealing with a physical matter, not life or death, but an irritating battle that has almost caused a lock down due to the “WHAT IF this gets worse” record playing in my head… on repeat. It’s that kind of battle that sent my emotions from one side of the spectrum to another. After all, I’m not the only person to have dealt with this issue. There are plenty of others living with it. BUT I don’t see why I HAVE to live with it. So, I have been seeking God on the matter, and He has so beautifully and faithfully been giving me revelation regarding my healing all along this journey. Throughout this journey I have known in my core that this physical issue is a done-deal. In fact, at the beginning of this year I heard someone say that this is going to be a year of reversal! WELL, COME ON NOW (go ahead and take that for you and yours right now!). Just another confirmation that not only am I being healed, but this thing is going to be reversed!
