A Process Completed

mail slots

Declaration 4.—I SAW AN OLD-TIMEY POSTMASTER putting mail in slots.

The slots represented people and the matters concerning them.  The delivering of the mail was a completing of, was an end of, the process of those troubled people and troubling matters — like the mail being put up, finally delivered—process completed.

Ps.138:7 “Though I walk in the midst of trouble, You will revive me; You will stretch forth Your hand against the wrath of my enemies, and Your right hand will save me.”   8 “The Lord will perfect that which concerns me; Your mercy and loving-kindness, O Lord, endure forever–forsake not the works of Your own hands.”

“perfect”: complete; bring to an end

In our lives, God is bringing to an end things that have lingered on from years past.

The Account Is Closed

Our God is declaring that the account is closed where the enemy has been depositing fodder to shoot at you and depositing currency to spend against you.

(fodder:  criticisms, faults, failures, accusations, short-comings).

Rom.4:25 “Who was betrayed and put to death because of our misdeeds and was raised to secure our justification (our acquittal), [making our account balance and absolving us from all guilt before God].” (Amp)

Taking The First Step

Declaration 2.—TAKING THE FIRST STEP

Father’s strength and wisdom are available for defeated people to take the first step after not moving against things that have defeated them in the last year.

first stepThe time of not doing something about defeating factors is over.

Taking the first step toward resolve of relationship problems with family.

Taking the first step out of a habit, victimization, porno, poverty, abuse.

The first step will be admitting there is a problem and wanting the answer, even if it means we have to put forth some effort and make some changes.

The first step will be to not wait for others and not wait for those circumstances to change, but begin the change in us.

First Step Plan:

1.) Admit there is a problem  2.) Identify that problem 3.) Begin taking steps to change while looking to the Word of God and Spirit of God for strength.

Ps.37:23 “The steps of a [good] man are directed and established by the Lord when He delights in his way [and He busies Himself with his every step].” (Amp)

God Is Digging Deeper

Declaration 1.—GOD IS DIGGING DEEPER

God is digging deeper into our lives to get more out of the way this year.

Digging deeper into layers to get out those things which are unnecessary.

dig shovelSo we can get more done, so that we may function to a greater degree in the coming year.

So that where we haven’t accomplished anything we will be able to accomplish something.

So that where we have accomplished something, we will be able to accomplish more.

Scraping more layers off so we can be in the Kingdom what we are supposed to be so that we may have the effect we are supposed to have.

Heb.12:1 “Therefore then, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses [who have borne testimony to the Truth], let us strip off and throw aside every encumbrance (unnecessary weight) and that sin which so readily (deftly and cleverly) clings to and entangles us, and let us run with patient endurance and steady and active persistence the appointed course of the race that is set before us, (Amp)

As you are able to agree with and own these declarations you will be built up in your most holy faith (Jude 1:20) and you will have a tool to war with that can defeat the enemy at several points in the coming year.

Each year I pray and ask the Lord for declarations to make  (1)  over people within my sphere of influence, for  (2)  those with whom I have some degree of influence and for  (3)  those who desire to claim them and come into agreement with them in prayer. I am making these declarations to those with whom I have a degree of influence (Paul said, “I stay in my metron (Gk.)”—2Cor.10:13-15).

These declarations are for prayer points (points that we pray over regularly) and points of agreement (points that we put agreement to in the atmosphere—agreeing with the purposes of God and with one another).  If you desire to be a recipient of and a participant in these declarations, you must  (1)  agree and you must  (2)  pray them through and you must  (3) declare them (cf.Paul in Acts 27).  These will come by prayer (and perhaps fasting) and applying ourselves.

Each year individuals, churches and prayer groups join us in prayer and agreement throughout the year over the declarations believing God for HIs (1)  redemptive intervention in our lives,  (2)  our churches and in  (3)  our nation and for  (4)  enablement for our Lord’s Kingdom purposes.  Each year individuals contact us to tell us about the declarations coming to pass in their lives after they have claimed them and prayed them through the year.

New Year Look Different

future

May the coming year look totally different as we look
back on it than any year prior has looked. May we say
that it had the look of answers, resolve and fulfillment.

“From now on I’m the one who answers and satisfies him.
I am like a luxuriant fruit tree.  Everything you need is to be
found in me.” (Hos.14:8b, Msg)

So The Enemy Loses His Nerve

We must end this year well in order to go into the new year well so that we can end the coming year victoriously.  Defeated_300We must determine to get rid of the old and get hold of the new.  It may cost us money, time, effort and purposefully applied energy to finish a season.  We may actually have to sit down, think and make a plan.  Finishing a season is very important because it disheartens the enemy.  “The wall was finished on the twenty-fifth day of Elul. It had taken fifty-two days. When all our enemies heard the news and all the surrounding nations saw it, OUR ENEMIES TOTALLY LOST THEIR NERVE. THEY KNEW THAT GOD WAS BEHIND THIS WORK.” (Neh.6:15-16, Msg)  Maybe if we finish something, we won’t have so many enemies breathing down our neck all year.

When Our Buttons Get Pushed

push button

May we allow the Holy Spirit to reason with us when our
buttons get pushed and our triggers are pulled by things
that aren’t even reasonable and may He bring us back to
reason that overcomes.

“I applied my heart to know, To search and seek out wisdom
and the reason of things, To know the wickedness of folly,
Even of foolishness and madness.” (Eccl.7:25, NKJV)

Understand The Makeup Of Others

A blow dryer is not wired like a drill even though there are some similarities in shape and size. If you put a blow dryer to work drying and styling hair, you will get great results and the dryer will likely last a long time. But if you Dryer_Drill_FBtry to force it to operate like a drill and force drill bits down inside it and press it up against a piece of wood or metal and turn it all the way up, the blow dryer will be damaged beyond repair and the one forcing the dryer will be injured, if not fatally injured. People are “wired” the way our Lord has in mind for them to operate in the Kingdom of God (1Cor.12:18). If they are coerced through immediate need that demands “the wheel that squeaks the loudest gets the grease” or through guilt or through an unscriptural ministry paradigm, they and their environment will both be damaged and may never function again. Not only do we need to understand our own makeup but the makeup of others so that we may work together efficiently and bring forth the glory of the Father and not that of religious demands or mere sentiment (1Cor.12:14-27).

May Life Permeate

light permeating

As the people of God assemble today may Life
permeate the atmosphere and rejuvenate the
weary, save the lost and heal the sick.

“Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy-laden
and overburdened, and I will cause you to rest. [I will
ease and relieve and refresh your souls.]” (Matt.11:28, Amp)

My Eyes Have Seen Your Salvation

Simeon with Jesus

Lk.2:27 So he [Simeon] came by the Spirit into the temple. And when the parents brought in the Child Jesus, to do for Him according to the custom of the law,  28  he took Him up in his arms and blessed God and said:  29  “Lord, now You are letting Your servant depart in peace, According to Your word;  30  For my eyes have seen Your salvation  31  Which You have prepared before the face of all peoples,  32  A light to bring revelation to the Gentiles,  And the glory of Your people Israel.”

Glorify God In Your Sphere

The oranges on the orange tree are the “glory” of that tree. Birds are “wired” to fly, i.e., they are meant to fly. Fish sparrow flyingare “wired” to swim, i.e., they are meant to swim. Horses are “wired” to run, i.e., they are meant to run. Every time a bird flies, it glorifies God because it is doing what God created it for. Every time a fish swims, it glorifies God. Every time a horse runs, it glorifies God. Those three animals are showing the purpose for which they were created and reflect their Creator when they fly, swim and run.

Every time a person does or says the things God specifically “wired” them to do, at whatever level they do it, they glorify God. Eagles have been clocked at 75 mph. They have been observed flying at 10,000 feet altitude. They are glorifying God as they fly at that altitude and at that speed. Sparrows have been clocked at 40 mph and have been observed flying at 300 feet altitude. But the sparrow is glorifying God just as much as the eagle. We Americans love “eagles” and put them on TV at great cost and we make sure they are able to rent huge auditoriums and stadiums but they are not glorifying God any more than the “sparrows” that speak and act redemptively at home, on the job, on the campus, in the hospital, in the downtown mission or jail, in the nursing home, in the store or restaurant. Jesus spent a great deal more time with three than He did with 5,000. Eagles and sparrows equally glorify God in the respective spheres He created them for.

Call His Name Jesus

Jesus
Lk:1:31 And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bring forth a Son, and SHALL CALL HIS NAME JESUS.  32  He will be great, and will be called the Son of the Highest; and the Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David.  33  And He will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and of His kingdom there will be no end.”

Matt.1:16 And Jacob begat Joseph the husband of Mary, of whom was born JESUS, WHO IS CALLED CHRIST.

Matt.1:25 And knew her not till she had brought forth her firstborn son: and HE CALLED HIS NAME JESUS.

God With Us Redemptively

helping someone
Emmanuel, “God is with us”, is the God-Man who was born of a virgin that God might dwell among men. Not only did Jesus, Emmanuel, live among men but He lived redemptively among men. He didn’t come to bring merely a message or a creed but He lived out redemptive acts through His life on earth. His disciples, those whom He has redeemed by His redemptive act of His shed blood on the cross must, in turn, live redemptively among men. There are too many and too much to redeem to simply live to go to heaven.

“Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel,” which is translated, “God with us.” (Matt.1:23, NKJV)

He Has Caught Our Attention

In his new book, The Orphan Heart, Larry Burden gives an interesting definition of “glory” from the Greek man lookingword “doxa”:  “the appearance, form or aspect of a person which catches our attention and commands our recognition”. The Person, Jesus, has “caught our attention” and “commands our recognition”. He has truly caught our attention and commanded our recognition when we begin to emulate Him. Jesus told His disciples, “Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit…” (Jn.15:8). So, we are to follow in the same pattern as THE SON and live in such a manner and to such a degree of fulfillment that the Father, through us, is “catching the attention” of people wherever we go. Jesus told Philip, “…he that hath seen me hath seen the Father…” (Jn.14:9). May it be said of us also.

Provided A King

3 wise menAs the people of God assemble today, may they rejoice in the God of their salvation for He has provided us a King who rules in righteousness (Isa.32:1). May they practice the wisdom of seeking Him.
“…Three wise men came from country far;
To seek for a king was their intent…”
“Noel, Noel, Noel, Noel,
Born is the King of Israel.”

“Rejoice greatly, O Daughter of Zion! Shout aloud, O Daughter of Jerusalem! Behold, your King comes to you; He is [uncompromisingly] just and having salvation [triumphant and victorious], patient, meek, lowly, and riding on a donkey, upon a colt, the foal of a donkey.” (Zech.9:9, Amp)

Glory Of The Father

walk aloneJesus was a Tree who brought forth fruit (Jn.12:28; 17:1). Jesus was the Kingdom exposed to mankind. In Jesus, the Kingdom was observed; in His lifestyle, His character, His actions (Matt.12:28). The fact that He brought forth fruit is the fact that He was the glory of His Father in the earth. “And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we saw His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth.” (Jn.1:14, NASB) In his new book, The Orphan Heart, Larry Burden gives an interesting definition of “glory” from the Greek word “doxa”:  “the appearance, form or aspect of a person which catches our attention and commands our recognition”. The Message puts it like this:  “The Word became flesh and blood, and moved into the neighborhood. We saw the glory with our own eyes, the one-of-a-kind glory, like Father, like Son, Generous inside and out, true from start to finish.” (Jn.1:14, Msg) Though the Father was sitting upon a throne in heaven, He could be seen in the earth in Jesus as He interacted with His environment.

Memories Not Take Toll

holding head
May our Lord minister to your memory and regret so that you seldom, if ever, think of those things again that caused them;  and if you do happen to think of them, may they not take any toll on your sense of worth or readiness to obey your Lord. May He move upon the hearts and minds of those who have freeze-framed you, to just let it go. And if they need to forgive you, may they receive from our Lord the grace to do so.

“And the Master, God, stays right there and helps me, so I’m not disgraced. Therefore I set my face like flint, confident that I’ll never regret this.  8  My champion is right here.  Let’s take our stand together!  Who dares bring suit against me?  Let him try!” (Isa.50:7-8, Msg)

What Trees Produce

Jesus had made wise observations about trees and fruit in His time on earth. From His statements to the very orchard1religious Jews, it was apparently His observation that fruit was not hung on trees by angels nor did it come by the blessing of laying on of hands, but fruit came when the trees produced it: “…given to a people producing the fruit of it” (Matt.21:43). It seems the lesson learned here is that there must be people who will be “planted” in relationship with the Lord and His people (Ps.92:13) in such a way that they receive the “nutrients” that will enhance and mature a tree in such a manner that fruit grows on the limbs. The concept of “planting” is one of staying and permanence (Isa.60:21; 61:3). A tree (1) stays planted, (2) takes moisture, (3) takes nutrients from the ground it is planted in, then (4) brings forth fruit. Fruit is brought forth by the tree that has been planted and enabled (Ps.1:3; Jn.10:38; Js.2:17-24; cf.Mk.11:13). “Bring forth”: make, produce, bear, shoot forth. The tree does not stand alone or produce alone. Jesus even said of Himself, “At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father…” (Jn.14:20) Then He informed His disciples how they were to glorify God—Jn.15:8 “Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit…” The bringing forth is redemptive. Jn.3:16 is redemptive; it is about Something that is beneficial to mankind. Prov.11:30a “The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life…” Jesus is “THE Tree Of Life”. Jn.14:6a “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth and the life…” Trees bring forth fruit and it is (1) glory to the Father, (2) life and (3) redemptive.
