Avoid Cannon Fodder

CannonAndBalls
May you skillfully discern when there is a hidden agenda in a question and not just simply answer it. May you discern when there is an accusation in a question and the asker is hoping you will give them “fodder for their cannon” so they can fire it back at you. May you be forthright and righteous in all your dealings with all people to the glory of our Lord as you watch Him intervene in your behalf.

“Blessed be the name of God, forever and ever… , He provides both intelligence and discernment, He opens up the depths, tells secrets, sees in the dark—light spills out of him! God of all my ancestors, all thanks! all praise! You made me wise and strong… ” (Dan.2:21b-23a)

Contradiction to Your Purpose

Resurrection out of Contradiction happening through process would involve repentance.  Let me give an example that explains that thinking:  I SunlightCloudsGoldgrew up on the church bench and when I heard, “Repent for the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand,” I thought it meant, “Get right with God, girl, because you may be at the pearly gates any minute!”  In addition to that, my only concept of “repent” was to confess sin so you won’t go to hell.  So, my deduction was that we are on earth just to get saved, stay saved and then go to heaven.  I had no idea that conclusion was an absolute CONTRADICTION to God’s specific purpose and future planned for my life.  All I knew was, that as a teenager, that conclusion was a rather un-exciting view of life because staying saved didn’t sound like an adventure to me and Heaven sounded like more of the same, too boring to my young heart to motivate my daily life.  I was completely unaware that my thinking contradicted seeking the Kingdom, God’s power dimension, and that comprehensively contradicted accomplishing what I was born to do.

Sometimes Rain

Lightningstreaksblue
(KG) It is time to overcome the smothering heaviness that contradicts God’s design and desire for your life. God knows I think in terms of cut-to-the-chase and quick results, so He patiently began to tweak my expectations a bit.  He pointed out to me that the resurrections coming in people’s lives may not be a sixty-second earthquake.  Some will break through contradictions one layer at a time.  I knew He was talking PROCESS which can mean a long rain rather than a lightning strike.

Heads Above Flood Waters

Shipsealight
As the people of God assemble today, may they discover that in the midst of their corporate prayers, praises and fellowship that they are getting their heads above the flood waters of circumstances because the Light and presence of God Almighty is drawing them up into His arms and His purposes with His enablements.

”God thunders across the waters, Brilliant, his voice and his face,
streaming brightness— God, across the flood waters.” (Ps.29:3, Msg)

In Spite of the Dominoes

Have you felt lately that you were being assailed? It is difficult to replace that biblical description of what some of us have been under recently. Fallingdominoes“ASSAIL”: to attack with violence, to assault; to attack with a view to produce changes in the feelings, character or conduct; to shout at. Kathy and I have been assaulted with certain circumstances since the first of the year that have been building like a domino effect. Last night, sitting in my prayer chair, sometime after 2:00am it was as though I could hear a distant, faint laughter accompanied by a taunting voice saying, “And you thought that you would escape such circumstances.” This morning Kathy sat down at the piano amid the dampness and odor of mold and mildew and we began to sing of our Father’s faithfulness and we sang the names of our LORD that we worship and call on when “dominoes” are falling right and left. We decided to make our praises louder, louder than our racing hearts and louder than the clacking and falling “dominoes”. There is ample evidence all around us that we have been assailed but there is also a blessed assurance that our Father is releasing His marvelous favor and lovingkindness in the midst of the assault and the assailant is being put to flight.

”Blessed be the Lord, For He has shown His marvelous favor and lovingkindness
to me [when I was assailed] in a besieged city.” (Ps.31:21, Amp)

Resurrection out of Contradiction

Handreachrubble
One of the ways I get a download from God is that I suddenly see a scene like a photo or video and that glimpse deposits an awareness or insight from God’s perspective or intentions on a matter.  In early January, a friend told me a vision she’d had.  She saw a man rise up and burst through several layers of dirt to stride forward powerfully, crushing the remains scattered on what was obviously a battlefield.  Her vision was a second witness to the declaration Marty released for this year about people coming up out of the rubble of circumstances.  That second witness ignited my expectations.  When that vision replays in my mind, I hear, like lyrics from a song,  It is time for RESURRECTION  OUT OF CONTRADICTION.

(This is the first excerpt from Kathy Gabler’s article “Resurrection out of Contradiction“. More excerpts will be posted Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.)

No More Stagnation

Flowingwater
May that which stagnates stagnate no longer. May the Lord put doors in obstacles for
you to go through or else, remove them. May you move forward with markable progress.

“The Lord God is my Strength, my personal bravery, and my invincible army; He makes
my feet like hinds’ feet and will make me to walk [not to stand still in terror, but to walk]
AND MAKE [spiritual] PROGRESS upon my high places [of trouble, suffering,
or responsibility]!” (Hab.3:19, Amp)

God Remains Faithful

MountainRainbow2
Regardless the moon, the trial or the circumstance, Faithful
God remains faithful to His Word and His people. “God is
faithful (reliable, trustworthy, and therefore ever true to
His promise, and He can be depended on); by Him you were
called into companionship and participation with His Son,
Jesus Christ our Lord.”
(1Cor.1:9, Amp)

Heart Filled With Gladness

Happyfamily
Council for Living #5—Let your heart be filled with gladness as you recount and
help others to dwell on the goodness of God. Pray about all matters and find
ways of giving thanks to God, both in action and in words.

”Be happy [in your faith] and rejoice and be glad-hearted continually (always); Be unceasing in prayer [praying perseveringly]; Thank [God] in everything [no matter what the circumstances may be, be thankful and give thanks], for this is the will of God for you [who are] in Christ Jesus [the Revealer and Mediator of that will].” (1Thess.5:16-18, Amp)

Light Shining in Darkness

Lightintodarkness2
May the people of God be light shining in darkness. May He send them to those who are stumbling around in the darkness without answers so that they may believe and know The Answer. ”And the light shineth in darkness…” (Jn.1:5, KJV) v.6- “There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. v.7- “The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe.”

And Thy Memorial

Memorialstones
As the people of God assemble today, may the fame of our LORD and His name be remembered, may it be spoken as lists of petitions and concerns are made before Him in the congregations. May His character and His deeds be foremost in our thoughts that we remember and express gratitude for the One He sacrificed for our freedom.

”Thy name, O Lord, endureth for ever; and thy memorial,
O Lord, throughout all generations.” (Ps.135:13, KJV)

Sharpen the Ax

Axchoptree
May God’s people look to and ask for His wisdom so that they may have sharp
minds to bring down that which resists the advancing of righteousness in their
lives and spheres of influence. May they succeed by deftly cutting through that
which has stood like towering trees opposing their momentum.

“Using a dull ax requires great strength, so sharpen the blade.
That’s the value of wisdom; it helps you succeed.”(Eccl.10:10, NLT)

Salt That Savors

Saltpouringout
May the people of God, in all seasons and locations be salt that savors bland, hopeless lives bringing life and hope for today and tomorrow. “Let me tell you why you are here. You’re here to be salt-seasoning that brings out the God-flavors of this earth. If you lose your saltiness, how will people taste godliness? You’ve lost your usefulness and will end up in the garbage.” (Matt.5:13, Msg)

”So when the captains of the chariots saw Jehoshaphat [of Judah], they said,
“It is the king of Israel!” So they turned to fight against him, but Jehoshaphat
called out [for God’s help], and the Lord helped him; and
GOD DIVERTED THEM away from him.” (2Chron.18:31, Amp)

Faithful God and His Order

SpringsummerautumnwinterFaithful God who set the seasons in undeniable order remains on His throne so that His order and purposes will be accomplished in the earth. As certainly as there is a summer that turns into fall and a fall that turns into winter there is One who sits above the machinations of unregenerate, self-serving men. People of faith will, therefore, align themselves with His order and contradict the disorder of faithlessness—step by step and day by day.
“While the earth remains, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.” (Gen.8:22, Amp)

Dates and Appointments

Appointment
May the Lord help you to keep up with due dates and appointments. May
you not be late for appointments nor late with payments. May you be
able to pay off items early and may you have more effective results
from your appointments than you might typically expect.”

“Keep your word even when it costs you, make an honest living, never
take a bribe. “You’ll never get blacklisted if you live like this.” (Ps.15:5, Msg)

God Keep Your Life

Moonredwater
The Lord has promised to keep His own, even with flood waters rising and moons changing to various colors. Even with the threat of financial and international upheaval, God Almighty will keep your life. “The Lord will keep you from all evil; He will keep your life. 8 The Lord will keep your going out and your coming in from this time forth and forevermore.” (Ps.121:7-8,Amp)

Good to the Household of Faith

Shakinghandschurch1
As the people of God assemble today, may they remember promises made to the Lord God and to their church leaders and to one another. May the Lord work in each of their hearts and lives to help bring about the ability to fulfill those promises for the benefit of the body of Christ to advance to the next level of responsibility and stewardship.

”So then, as occasion and opportunity open up to us, let us do good [morally] to all people [not only being useful or profitable to them, but also doing what is for their spiritual good and advantage]. Be mindful to be a blessing, especially to those of the household of faith [those who belong to God’s family with you, the believers].” (Gal.6:10, Amp)

May Things Connect in our Brains

May the Lord help us with our health. May all things that are supposed to connect in our brains connect as they should. May they connect in the timing and fashion that is profitable for accomplishing daily tasks and completing goals and communicating accurately.

“Oh, that marvel of conception as you stirred together semen and ovum— What a miracle of skin and bone, muscle and brain! You gave me life itself, and incredible love. You watched and guarded every breath I took. (Job 10:10-12, Msg)

Not out of Circumstances but Through Circumstances

DanielwithlionsGod doesn’t change His plans for His people just because an unexpected set of difficult circumstances have arisen. Though surrounded by lions, Daniel was completely unharmed. The lions did not function like lions – they were present, they were still lions with all the capabilities of lions but did not function like lions as long as Daniel was present. It would be difficult in this setting to say that Daniel was not manifested. All through the Bible people were preserved and manifested regardless of undesirable circumstances, even impossible circumstances. They were not removed from the circumstances but manifested participants in those altered circumstances (Cf. Esther). Regardless the apparent circumstances, God brought His people through and He has not retired from bringing His people through triumphantly.

Council for Living #4

PillarswhiteCouncil for Living #4—Being steadfast and patient may be the most difficult two-fold determination a believer could ever attempt to exercise. That may be the reason Paul has instructed us to put on either side of that two-fold challenge (1) rejoicing while exulting in hope and, on the other side (2) constant prayer. May your worshipful/prayerful interacting with our Lord today bring you relief and resolve.

“Rejoice and exult in hope;
be steadfast and patient in suffering and tribulation;
be constant in prayer.” (Rom.12:12,Amp)
