Oh Lord, Surround Our Children

May the Lord God move by the power of His Word and His Spirit in schools across America in this school year. May He surround our children with His keeping power and may He raise up from them Daniels, Esthers, Deborahs, Josephs and Davids who impact their environment for the saving of many. “All your children will be disciples of the Lord— I will make peace abound for your children.” (Isa.54:13, CEB)

What is a Prophetic Lifestyle?

MELISSA—What is a prophetic lifestyle? It is hearing and seeing God’s intention about the here and now, and what is to come on a regular basis.  Or as my Mom puts it, “PROPHETIC” is God revealing Himself, His thoughts, His will, His insights, His plans, His wisdom or instructions or warnings or the plans of hell.  Why is a prophetic lifestyle important? A prophetic lifestyle starts with a hearing ear. The statement  “He who has ears to hear let him hear” is made in all of the following passages: Matthew 11:15; 13:9; Mark 4:9; Luke 8:8; Revelation 2:7; 3:6.  To be said this many times must mean it’s rather important. This lifestyle lives in agreement with the intentions of God and stops enemy assignments from manifesting on the earth. Sliding Into Weariness

KATHY—If we are tired and ignore tired and do not resolve tired, we can slide into weariness. Then our attitude is affected. Like in an airplane, the wrong “attitude” will change the final outcome.  Attitude that is off a few degrees will influence our decisions and choices, causing them to miss the mark by a few degrees.  That can lead to disappointment, despair and even desperateness.  Recognize the first signs of tiredness and take a break for rest.  It is during those times the Holy Spirit can redefine “well doing” if necessary.  If you get to the “weary” phase you can miss the harvest, you can miss the good results simply because you have lost focus and are not looking.  “And let us not lose heart and grow weary and faint in acting nobly and doing right, for in due time and at the appointed season we shall reap, if we do not loosen and relax our courage and faint.” (Gal.6:9, Amp)

Jehovah Rohi

As the people of God assemble today may they find peace for their souls in worshipping Jehovah Rohi (the Lord is my Shepherd). May they rest in the mighty hands of Father Who is greater than all because they know that they cannot be snatched out of those attentive hands and protection. Jn.10:27,Amp—“The sheep that are My own hear My voice and listen to Me; I know them, and they follow Me.  28 And I give them eternal life, and they will never, ever [by any means] perish; and no one will ever snatch them out of My hand.  29 My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater and mightier than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father’s hand.  30 I and the Father are One [in essence and nature].”

Though You Walk in the Midst of Trouble

“Though you walk in the midst of trouble, may the Lord revive you; May He stretch forth His hand against the wrath of your enemies, And may His right hand save you. The Lord will accomplish what concerns you. [**We should declare out loud that the Lord will accomplish what concerns us**] Your lovingkindness, O Lord, is everlasting; Do not forsake the works of Your hands.” [**We should declare out loud that the Lord will not forsake the works of His hands**] (Taken from Ps 138:7-8)

Deliver us From Evil

MELISSA— Thinking about current events recently, this is where our minds went: First, even the non-mainstream-media we have been following is not worth following anymore as everything is “seemingly” crashing and burning. Second, what we have are the prophetic words we’ve heard and believed. Third, THIS IS NOT OVER. Lastly, our number one prayer is that the fear of the Lord hit this nation, and that He deliver us from evil!  Job 28:28, King James Version – “And unto man he said, Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom; and to depart from evil is understanding.”

Jesus’ First Obligation

KATHY—Jesus exemplified that His first obligation was obedience to the will of the Father.  Opinions, emotions, traditions and minions can quickly bind Christians with a sense of obligation that has nothing to do with obedience or the order God can bless.  A vivid example of this in my mind is how often I’ve seen Christians feel obligated to tolerate all behaviors, without confrontation or rebuttal.  I’m not sure how the mindset developed that being non-confrontational is being holy, but there are no rewards for it in the Bible.  Jesus did not tolerate the attitudes or arguments of the Pharisees. He spoke very directly and at times did not even bother with diplomacy.   If tolerance is an obligation that is not first based in timely obedience to God, it is more likely coming from guilt or self-righteousness.  At that point, toleration falls into the category of good works and is an attempt to sanctify our own soul.  Of course, neither tolerance nor any other good work can cleanse the soul if it is not obedience (1Peter 1:22).  As Jesus demonstrated, a mature son lives his days discerning the Father’s heart and keeping obedience in priority to any other assumed or imposed obligation.

Truth and Hate

I heard it said somewhere, “Truth sounds like hate to those who hate the truth”.  Prov.23:23,TPT—“Embrace the truth and hold it close. Don’t let go of wisdom, instruction, and life-giving understanding.”

Ask for Insight

MELISSA — This passage is a perfect tool for this time: Proverbs 2:3-6, make your ear attentive to wisdom and incline your heart to understanding; yes, if you call out for insight and raise your voice for understanding, if you seek it like silver and search for it as for hidden treasures, then you will understand the fear of the Lord and find the knowledge of God. For the Lord gives wisdom; from his mouth come knowledge and understanding;” Ask for insight and understanding and you will begin to awaken to the fear of the Lord. Then you will understand how to navigate through what is at hand and what is to come. This is our opportunity to demonstrate the Kingdom of God and leave an effectual legacy centered in the fear of the Lord. Ive heard so many times over the last couple of years that revival is coming. Yes, revival is coming, and it will come through awakened people bowing their knee to the Almighty God.
