Power of the Air
KATHY—The scripture, Eph 2:2 came to mind as I realized some friends were battling the “prince of the power of the air.” I went to search out that scripture wanting to get a working definition and understand “the power of the air.” That verse in Ephesians indicates the power of the air to be enemy occupation in an atmosphere. When the power of the air is infested like that, it can cause the culture to fester and draw flies like the imaginings and thoughts and opinions of men and their unbelief, rebellion, arguments and theories and reasonings and every proud and lofty thing that sets itself up against the knowledge of God. The power of the air is atmospheric conditions that affect people daily either positively because it is receptive to God or negatively because the power of the air has successfully been contaminated and made toxic.

Promises Available for Application
MELISSA—How do we prepare for what’s ahead? You’ve been made ready in ways you haven’t put together yet, but it will come together as we head into the year. Also, we need to realize it’s just time to BE the new creation Jesus exemplified. We need to pick up the Bible and rehearse the things Jesus set in motion. We typically call those “promises,” but in our modern culture that word tends to have only a future connotation. His promises are fully alive and available for application now and where we are headed. For instance, we read in the gospels about fish and bread being multiplied to feed thousands. We need to be ready to facilitate that new creation norm. Finally, remember this isn’t all about evil being exposed. Our focus needs to be on the increasing Kingdom that is going to be revealed in the midst of the mess. “I have told you these things in parables (veiled language, allegories, dark sayings); the hour is now coming when I shall no longer speak to you in figures of speech, but I shall tell you about the Father in plain words and openly (without reserve).” (John 16:25 Amplified) The reality and mysteries of God being uncovered will be the biggest mind-blower of all! The “brainwashed zombie” in each of us will try and hold on to old logic through the upheaval ahead, but the new creation we already are will bring us through to a victory that words can’t relay right now.

Corporate Agreement
KATHY — How do we fight for a corporate cause when we are fighting to survive individually? First, we must take hope that God has positioned gifts and strengths geographically and relationally for corporate wars ahead of time, and we must believe corporate agreement will defeat customized weapons as well as enemies with tenure that are attempting to protect ungodly strongholds. Secondly, we have to be confident that being the target does not mean we have to just take a right hook and then wait helplessly for a left jab every time the enemy gets upset. We are not a victim nor a God-authorized target. Once that is settled in us we can fight with confidence and win through time and perseverance. Heb.3:14, Msg — “If we can only keep our grip on the sure thing we started out with, we’re in this with Christ for the long haul.”

Desire the Unction
As the people of God assemble today may they deeply desire the unction that they have from the Lord. May their hearts and minds be enlightened and be endued with power to have the same light Jesus had and to do what Jesus did with that same unction when He was on earth. Acts 10:38, ESV—“How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power. He went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with him.”

The Government of the Kingdom of God
DR. DON CRUM — The government of the Kingdom of God increases as God’s sons and daughters who are His ambassadors in the earthly realm, understand and operate more in the implementation of God’s “Foreign Policies” in the earth. Therefore, His rule and reign extend and expand throughout the nations, pulling them into alignment. Matt 13:33 Jesus also used this illustration: “The Kingdom of Heaven is like the yeast a woman used in making bread. Even though she put only a little yeast in three measures of flour, it permeated every part of the dough.” God’s Kingdom Government is permeating throughout the nations through you and me as His Kingdom Ambassadors. As God’s sons and daughters in the earth, we are entrusted with an amazing inheritance of kingly authority to legislate the affairs of nations by invoking God’s plans and policies on a massive global scale. Things That Have Been Hidden
MELISSA—I believe we are about to see some things manifest. I mean literally SEE things that have been hidden. The Spirit of truth is about to unveil things that have been working against us AND for us in other dimensions. Upheaval that many are experiencing is going to be a catalyst in this exposure. I’m telling you, the normal “Leave it to Beaver/Father Knows Best” show life has been a great script in a false reality. True reality consists of every disease being healed, dead being raised, lives being changed and interacting with the supernatural realm, not just living day to day trying to have a good life and be a good person. Getting back to true reality will be shocking and will require us to be aware of and interacting with different dimensions. We are going to see some stuff in the coming years… get ready.

Overcoming Hurts
Kathy — We can choose to get over painful blows and hurt feelings and refuse to allow them to become offense and self-pity. One way to overcome them is to use anger rather than lie down in it. Ephesians 4:26 – ”Be angry and do not sin…”. It doesn’t tell us NOT to get angry. It tells us when we get angry, 1) resolve it rightly, 2) resolve it quickly, and 3) don’t do anything in the process that gives up ground you’ll have to win back later.
