I see that! When we hear something or read something and say “I see that” are we “seeing” only in the sense of ocular recognition or mental consent or are we seeing in the sense of perception for the purpose of application? Does that simply mean that we can see that they have stated a truth or does it actually mean that we can see the value of that truth for our lives and others and are willing to act on it? Prov.1:1-4 (21st CKJV) ”The Proverbs of Solomon the son of David, king of Israel: 2 to know wisdom and instruction; to perceive the words of understanding; 3 to receive the instruction of wisdom, justice, judgment, and equity; 4 to give subtlety to the simple, and to the young man knowledge and discretion.”
Seeing clearly with our natural eyes is called 20/20 vision.I believe as we head into the new year, 2020, that we are in a God-planned time in history to see more clearly than ever before.I declare that understanding and clarity are coming to both physical eyes and the eyes of our soul and spirit.I truly expect keener vision and perceptivity in the months ahead that will equip us for successful and effectual days of walking out the purposes of God in our lives.—Kathy Gabler

The following week after I had the vision about the war and the storm, exactly seven days later at 3:00 A.M., I was awakened again, this time to a literal storm. Thunder rattled the windows. The thunder was loud, unnerving and unending. It seemed to be right over our house, pounding the windows and walls and it brought me fully awake. I sat up and awaited understanding and instructions to pray as the atmosphere around me seemed electric. The most unusual thing about the thunder was that it was not coming in abrupt crashes but rather in a steady drumming sound in the heavens. After what seemed half an hour or so, the thunderous vibrations slowly moved away, but I could still hear the continuous rumbling in the distance.
I looked up the Hebrew meaning of “thunder” which is “to call aloud; a voice or sound, a proclamation”. “Thunder crashes and rumbles in the skies. Listen! It’s God raising his voice! Job 26:11. And this is only the beginning, a mere whisper of His rule. Whatever would we do if He really raised his voice!” Job 26:14 “Whenever this happens, my heart stops– I’m stunned, I can’t catch my breath. Listen to it! Listen to His thunder, the rolling, rumbling thunder of His voice. He lets loose His lightnings from horizon to horizon, lighting up the earth from pole to pole. In their wake, the thunder echoes his voice, powerful and majestic. He lets out all the stops, He holds nothing back. No one can mistake that voice– His word thundering so wondrously, His mighty acts staggering our understanding.” (Job 37:1-5) The week before, I had seen Him break through second heaven to release His will into the earth. This week, I sat listening to His voice charge the earth’s atmosphere and make it tremble with anticipation. Prov 29:18 – says, “Without a vision the people perish.” “Where there is no revelation or prophecy the people cast off restraint,” (RSV) When we have no vision, no awareness of God’s calling and purpose and plans, we have no guidelines for choices, no criteria for life. We tend to make life decisions like friendships, marriage, education, career and investments randomly, without awareness of how all areas of our life connect to the plan and call of God. That’s why our lives sometimes feel disjointed and conflicting and we end up confused, wounded and scarred with a bitter residue in our attitudes.

The Holy Spirit Is In The Fight Recently I was praying about our nation. I was listing the issues and the chaos and the unrighteous rulers before God. It was then that I saw a vision of a boxing ring. A man in a tux walked out into the center of the ring, took the microphone and announced the fight. He pointed to his left and said, “In this corner is anarchy, liberalism, atheism, existentialism, failing morals and failing values.” The crowd would gasp in horror each time the announcer would list another of the creature’s attributes. Each time he listed another name or description, the dark creature in that corner grew another inch and gained another 20 pounds until he menacingly filled that corner of the ring. Then I heard a voice cry out and ask, “But who will figure the Holy Spirit into the equation? Who will announce Him?” In the vision I jumped to my feet and cried aloud, “I will!” I climbed into the ring, took the microphone and said, “BUT in THIS corner is the One who, in the beginning when the earth was without form, and void; and darkness [was] upon the face of the deep, this One, the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters and chaos was changed into order!” The crowd jumped to their feet and began to shout until the roar was deafening. The whole atmosphere changed. Don’t count out the Holy Spirit. Too many people are climbing into the ring of discussion and opinion, taking the mic and announcing the negative. Every time we announce the negative, we give it more size and weight in our thinking and the thinking of others.
