Bringing Evidences of the Kingdom

MARTY GABLER—Holy Father God, I thank you that you are bringing the evidences of the Kingdom, the rule, the higher rule, the beneficent rule, it is a loving rule, it is a compassionate rule. (Ps.145:13) It is redemptive government and I thank you that you are bringing it so close to us that it is taking our breath! I declare over your people that the government of God is so sovereignly active among us that from now on we are going to be giving reports to one another about how our breath was taken because we saw the sovereign activity of God right before our eyes.

Attain and Sustain

Melissa—In a conversation with a dear friend today, regarding why some things (after much prayer) have still not happened, this hit me: We want fast answers (basically bandaids).  The long lasting, deep, most satisfying things take longer because we have to have the understanding and character to not only attain them but to sustain them.  This kept coming back to me all day.  It has been one of those kinds of days where I have been hearing about the sovereignty of God unfolding in friends’ lives (that which God has been doing all along coming to the point where we can see it).  It’s been that kind of day where one quietly sits back and realizes your mouth is hanging open in awe.

God Measures Time

Clock in handsKathy — While man is measuring time in seconds and minutes, God is measuring time in changes, responses, transformations and alignment of people and circumstances. His primary aim is to transform people. There are those awesomely orchestrated times when His transforming events coincide on a calendar date just to declare His presence and sovereignty and loving attention to details in our lives. (Jer.29:11)

The Mystery of the Kingdom

(The following is from Marty’s article “From Heaven to Earth”)
“There is a mystery… The Kingdom of God is here; but instead of destroying human sovereignty, it has attacked the sovereignty of Satan. The Kingdom of God is here but instead of making changes in the external, political order of things, it is making changes in the spiritual order and in the lives of men and women…

“The Kingdom of God which is yet to come in power and great glory is actually present among men in advance in an unexpected form to bring to men in the present evil Age the blessings of the Age to Come… Matt.12:28 clearly says that the Kingdom of God has entered into the present evil age.

“The mystery of the Kingdom is this: The Kingdom of God is here but not with irresistible power. The Kingdom of God has come, but it is not like a stone grinding an image to powder… it is like a man sowing seed. It does not force itself upon men… They must receive it; the response must come from a willing heart and a submissive will.” (George Eldon Ladd)

Don’t Lose the Moment

We are moving into a time of more frequent and more intense, Sovereignly-Scheduled-Intersections with people/situations we are appointed to minister to. Everyone of us could probably tell stories about a breath-taking impression, when we sensed the power of God was about to manifest awesomely.  We probably could all admit times also when we were too scared to follow through or were hesitant and lost the moment.  I don’t mention these moments to guilt us for hesitating or for not having the courage to participate.  Guilt is not the goal here!  The Goal is to “Get It.”  And, we can be willing and fearless because our Father will grace us to “GET  IT!”  (Last excerpt from Kathy Gabler’s SEEC Magazine article “Sons Must Get It”.)
