The Renewing of Your Mind
MELISSA— “And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.” (Romans 12:2) That’s a Change-Agent’s life right there. We PROVE the good, acceptable and perfect will of God. How? By changing our thought habits. We meditate on God’s will, His original intent for this earth. We stop fixating on the enemy’s war around us by realizing his war has intensified because he is feeling the pressure of this never-ending Kingdom in Luke 1:33. We turn our thoughts toward that powerful fact. We engage in power, love, and a sound mind by dumping fear-thoughts that have wreaked havoc (2 Timothy 1:7). This is all possible in our lifetime!

The Same Scale as God
Prophetic voices are voices that speak on the same scale God is speaking on. We should be speaking the heart of God which brings about those things which man cannot accomplish. If we speak for God we speak in “giant” language, not “ant” language like those who have adapted their thinking to the present world system (Rom.12:2). In many cases we have learned to talk like the Egyptians and the
Babylonians whose gods had moral shortcomings and fickle emotions like the people who served them.
Early in the twentieth century aged plodders were still plowing with mules while young women were flying solo coast to coast. The aged plodders were using language like “plow”, “mule”, “harness”, “one acre”, “man wasn’t meant to fly”; and young women were using language like “magneto”, “propeller”, “rudder”, “elevator”, “altitude, “three thousand miles” – words the old plodders could not even define. The old plowmen would hold tightly to their plows, look up at the new-fangled flying machines and sadly shake their heads at what they perceived was utter nonsense. Prophetic voices have God’s perspective on what is and what shall be and refuse to be bound by the limitations of the poverty of the human experience. The only word God will get into agreement with is His Word which is more than adequate in any age. (Marty will be speaking at DVP2018 Sept.14-16)

So God Can Bring the Best Out of You
As the people of God assemble today, may the powerful Word of God go forth in the power of the Holy Spirit so that our minds are transformed
and all conformation to the world’s system is displaced by God-values and God-principles. May the clutter in the atmosphere in our weekly surroundings dissipate like the morning mist and the Word arise like a mighty force within us. ”Don’t become so well-adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without even thinking. Instead, fix your attention on God. You’ll be changed from the inside out. Readily recognize what he wants from you, and quickly respond to it. Unlike the culture around you, always dragging you down to its level of immaturity, God brings the best out of you, develops well-formed maturity in you.” (Rom.12:2, MSG)

What is in the Atmosphere
(From Kathy’s message at KC2018) — What is in the atmosphere can influence our minds. Words are in the atmosphere. The prince of the power of the air has not forgotten that words have power. The Word instructs us not to be lulled into numbness by what is in the atmosphere. Rom.12:2 not only says “Don’t be conformed”, it also says, “Be transformed”.

No Surprises
A great example of scripture that shows us God has already moved in our tomorrow and what we can anticipate is Ps.77:19. (CEV) “You walked through the water of the mighty sea, but your footprints were never seen.” And The Message version says: “You strode right through Ocean,
walked straight through roaring Ocean, but nobody saw you come or go.” God’s footprints were already in the bottom of the Red Sea before Israel ever left Egypt! An updated comparison might be: before they walked into 2018, God walked through the Red Sea in 2017. No one saw His footprints because they were looking at the circumstances with the considerations of the present age (cf. Rom 12:2). They had stopped considering God’s Word and had started considering the appearance of present circumstances. Most of them were looking back at Egypt wishing they had never screwed up the courage to walk out; desiring captivity and limited possibilities rather than trusting a God whose “mercies are new every morning” (that is a very strong hint that we should anticipate God). There are no surprises awaiting God in the remainder of 2017. His footprints are already out there in 2018. We are anticipating a Participating God who cannot be surprised. (The fourth excerpt from Marty’s article “Anticipation Nation”)

Washed Not Conformed
When the foundationally soiled values of human reasoning foul the hearts and minds of church-goers (and former church-goers who have supposedly been taught the Word of God), and it becomes evident in lifestyle choices that do not glorify God Almighty, it is high time for people to avail themselves so that their hearts and minds may be washed with the Word of God all over again (Eph.5:26). It was not actually a legalistic preacher who said, “Be not conformed to this world” but Apostle Paul in the Bible who shared it for those who would overcome and be victorious.
“So here’s what I want you to do, God helping you: Take your everyday, ordinary life—your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life—and place it before God as an offering. Embracing what God does for you is the best thing you can do for him. Don’t become so well-adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without even thinking. Instead, fix your attention on God. You’ll be changed from the inside out. Readily recognize what he wants from you, and quickly respond to it. Unlike the culture around you, always dragging you down to its level of immaturity, God brings the best out of you, develops well-formed maturity in you.” (Rom.12:1-2, Msg)

Doing Things That Have An Effect
“…the people who know their God shall be strong and do exploits” (Dan.11:32) To know the “THY” of the Kingdom, to know His Word, to worship Him for Who He is, is to be available to “do things that have an effect” (Heb.:”do exploits”) according to v.32. It is possible to do exploits through the enablements of the Spirit, with money, with political power, with influence (Esther), talent and skills. If we will take what is at hand into our hand (and not limit it with the poverty of human experience), God will enable its effect beyond our abilities. Samson took the jawbone of an ass into his hand and slew 1,000 of the Philistines. Mere reason would reckon that an animal jawbone nor Samson could hold up long enough to slay a fraction of that number. But. . . “the people who know their God shall be strong and do exploits” “Don’t become so well-adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without even thinking. Instead, fix your attention on God. You’ll be changed from the inside out. Readily recognize what he wants from you, and quickly respond to it. Unlike the culture around you, always dragging you down to its level of immaturity, God brings the best out of you, develops well-formed maturity in you.” (Rom.12:2, Msg) “For there is nothing to prevent the Lord from saving by many or by few.” (1Sam.14:6, Amp) “Whatever He says to you, do it.” (Jn.2:5)

Stop The Negative
How do we, in a time of need, suddenly stop the negative and suddenly begin authoritatively operating in the power of the Throne?
How do we, in a season-shift, push down the troubling aspects of our environment and see what the Father is doing and do what the Father is doing in spite of those elements? We can immediately go to panic, to fear, to flight but our emotional make-up is such that we require a period of time before turning to the positive. I have seen deer in the wild that were perfectly at peace, grazing and resting. But, suddenly, there is a noise and they jump and snort and run. Then they stand around stomping and snorting and looking at each other and looking all around their environment. They eventually settle back down but the operative word here is “eventually.” It only takes one deer to keep the rest from settling back down and all the rest will run and abandon food and rest because of the one. How do we turn it around in our minds? We “be not conformed” (Rom.12:2). We do not allow ourselves to be pressed into the mold of present circumstances. We submit our minds to be transformed by the Word of God. Applied to the correct report, we can renew our minds. If we neglect knowing the intentions of the King for this season of history, we cannot be transformed into the mindset that cooperates with and gets the results of His Kingdom intentions.
