Restored to Take Possession

Melissa—Our part in the big churning is moving us forward inch-by-inch as God directs.  It’s about being restored to take possession. Let me go a little farther regarding this place we will hold by mentioning the wealth transfer in Proverbs 13:22 that’s about to get real!  I’ve heard about the wealth transfer from sinner to the just all of my life, but I’ve never seen it like I do now.  The reason the rest of this year is so important is because the great wealth transfer is not about someone just handing money to us.  It’s about us taking the place of the wicked and possessing the land for the Kingdom of God.  Remember those seven mountains we have talked about for years?  It’s about us taking the empty spots on those mountains after God deals out Job 5:12. Those who fought at Iwo Jima were part of the generation that has been labeled “The greatest”.   Let’s be tenacious and lay hold of the grace that is readily available to us to be the greatest Kingdom generation yet!

Outliving a Siege

The last sentence in Joel 2:25 says,  My great army which I sent among you…”.   That tells us that God sent the army of locusts, the swarm of circumstance.   Did He siege_Jerusalemsend them to ultimately rob, kill and destroy His people?  No.  Interestingly, through those times that it feels like we are helpless and chaos is king, our Redeemer is watching and working behind the scenes and at every intersection.   Even during a siege there is a redemptive factor at work and, whether we realize it or not, the conflict is working something out of us and into us.  Overcoming a locust season is an opportunity for sons to build muscle and maturity.  Coming out with both is a redeeming result of difficulty.   Outliving a siege positions us for redemption of our purpose.  Matured and muscled, we are then equipped to embrace every opportunity restored, every resource restored, every potential restored, every strength restored, every harvest restored, every energy restored and the years lost in the difficult, building process. —Kathy Gabler

When God Charges the Battery

When God restores something that generations have lost, He must put emphasis on it. In this century we have seen an emphasis on Bible chargingcarbatteryteaching, healing, faith, prophesying and joy. Each time God has restored one of these truths and highlighted it the teacher and the teaching have been rejected and even vehemently opposed by many. God must emphasize and spotlight each of these things because they have fallen into such neglect. Entire generations have become ignorant of them so that they must be jump-started. You cannot start a run-down battery with a typical 10 amp battery charger. You must put a 250 amp charger on it if you want the car to start right then and be useful then rather than many hours later.
