Prayerfully Searching Dream Meaning

The Holy Spirit sometimes gives you a word of wisdom which reveals a dream’s message. However, it is just as fulfilling to get to the message, meaning and purpose through the process of prayerfully searching them out. We can sit at the Lord’s feet and lean against His knee and ponder the pieces of a dream.  Sometimes we don’t even have to completely dismantle the dream to get the gist of it, but it if it does require more effort, then we research the Bible and reference books and friends until the concepts connect and open our understanding.  God created dreams and visions to communicate and He will certainly help us get to understanding. (Third excerpt from Kathy’s article “Considering Dreams and Visions”.)

Healing Presence

As the people of God assemble today, may they sense our Lord’s healing presence and receive a rejuvenating of His power throughout their bodies. May they pray for and lay hands on one another and experience the joy and thankfulness of seeing others leave different than they came. (Acts 28:8, TLB) ”Publius’s father was ill with fever and dysentery. Paul went in and prayed for him, and laying his hands on him, healed him!”

Light Coming on Dreams

Perhaps you have experienced how the Holy Spirit sometimes gives you a word of wisdom which reveals a dream’s message, meaning and purpose all at once. It is like a light suddenly coming on or subtitles coming across the scenes.  I love it when God does that, as was the case recently.  On a three-way call with intercessors, a lady told her dream about a friend who had just been notified he had an aggressive cancer. The dreamer was surprised because her friend didn’t even look sick.  In fact he looked in the peak of health and fitness.  As she told the dream, I heard, “It is not physical cancer.  It is bitterness that is targeting him, but has not successfully overtaken him.” God revealed an assignment and a call to intercession through word of wisdom revealed by the Spirit. (Second excerpt from Kathy’s article “Considering Dreams and Visions”.)

Counter Measures

(Melissa Gabler) The initial hit from the enemy might require you to go on the defense, but you never stay there.  I will explain this in a tactical way.  I have been taking self-defense classes for over four years. One of my instructors recently said, “We teach you to defend yourself one time.  We will never teach you to stay in a defensive position.  You must counter, control, and finish the fight.”  Well, my goodness.  What strategy!  After you defend yourself one time from your enemy’s attack you then strike back with the weapons and skill God has given you.  You can’t stay just in the defensive position.  You propel forward because He already set up your counter measures and you are well armed, and able!  What are your counter measures?  Number one: Scripture. Number two: your Holy Spirit-breathed prophetic words.  Other than that, whatever God has personally set up for you.  Ask Him to show you and open your eyes to see!  Don’t get bogged down in the fear of it.  Look for His provision because it is already there.  Isaiah 54:17-“no weapon formed against you shall prosper” is not an afterthought.  It is solid forethought!

When Considering a Dream

When considering a dream or vision, the goal is communication. Understanding the way you dream and the language that may be unique to your dreams, is equipping for life. This “understanding” is a major part of “having an ear to hear”.  You may already understand most of your dreams and already know when they are from God or for a God-purpose, so your only challenge may be figuring out how to follow up or walk them out in real life.  (First excerpt from Kathy’s article “Considering Dreams and Visions”.)

Good News That Nourishes the Bones

Have you ever found yourself just looking at your phone longing for it to ring with one of those calls that ends up being a story that you excitedly tell to person after person because it was such a longed-for piece of good news? Have you ever thought that a knock on your door would turn into the good news of a life-altering opportunity? May your home be filled with good news reports, victorious stories to tell and awesome, unexpected telephone calls that thrill you and yours. (Prov.15:30, Amp) “The light in the eyes [of him whose heart is joyful] rejoices the hearts of others, and good news nourishes the bones.”  We are praying you discover daily that you are expectant and hearing good news that nourishes your bones. (Marty’s Daily Discovery as heard on TEXAS PRAISE RADIO at the bottom of the hour 24hrs/day.)

All Believers Can

The scripture says. “These signs will accompany those who believe” (Mk.16:17):  ALL BELIEVERS can cast out demons. ALL BELIEVERS can speak with tongues. ALL BELIEVERS can walk in God’s Authority over every obstacle. ALL BELIEVERS can lay hands on the sick and have them recover.  So, WHY DON’T WE?  It is time to consider things differently and change our minds. It is time to be CONVINCED God’s Word is TRUE. To BELIEVE means “to adhere to, trust in and rely on.” To the extent that we adhere to, trust in and rely on God and His Word is the extent to which we are convinced of His Authority and Power.  We must be CONFIDENT of His Authority.—Kathy Gabler

Apply the Extraordinary

As the people of God assemble today, may their hearts and minds be alive with possibilities of receiving and applying extraordinary enablements and supply from the throne of heaven to transform their environs. May they not be tempted to yield to the poverty of human experience but be enriched by the all-sufficiency of their Savior, Christ Jesus.  (1Sam.17:47, Msg) ”The whole earth will know that there’s an extraordinary God in Israel. And everyone gathered here will learn that God doesn’t save by means of sword or spear. The battle belongs to God…”

Extraordinary Savior = Extraordinary Results

It would behoove the disciples of Christ to be aware that they have an extraordinary Savior. When Peter was in prison, there was no popular teaching making the rounds at conferences that you could call on a special squad of jail-breaking angels to get you out. Something happened that Peter had not even taught on! We are in an era of history when nothing less than the extraordinary of heaven is required in the earth.  (Eph.3:10, Msg) ”Through followers of Jesus like yourselves gathered in churches, this extraordinary plan of God is becoming known and talked about even among the angels!”

November is For Deliverance From Anger

The month of NOVEMBER IS FOR DELIVERANCE FROM ANGER. It is time for deliverance from anger (1) caused by injustices such as bullying, misrepresentation, abuse, abandonment, regrets; (2) caused by disagreements never settled; (3) caused by opportunities never taken or that were stolen.  Whatever the source of the anger, you are the one it is eating up, so be delivered by the healing power of Jesus.  Eph.4:26 Be angry [at sin—at immorality, at injustice, at ungodly behavior], yet do not sin; do not let your anger [cause you shame, nor allow it to] last until the sun goes down.  27  And do not give the devil an opportunity [to lead you into sin by holding a grudge, or nurturing anger, or harboring resentment, or cultivating bitterness]. (Amp)

Light is Enough

I have heard it said that it doesn’t matter how strong or deep the darkness is, one ray of light is enough to disperse it.  “Here’s another way to put it: You’re here to be light, bringing out the God-colors in the world. God is not a secret to be kept. We’re going public with this, as public as a city on a hill.” (Matt.5:14, Msg)

Seeing and Hearing Good Things

How long has it been since you were delightfully surprised so that your heart leaped with joy? Have you ever come to the place in your life of seeing something you thought you would never get to see? Sudden discovery is a delight to the heart of persons of all ages. Finding something that is of personal value to you is like a treasure that brings great joy. There are blessings you have not yet received. There are victories you have not yet walked in. How do I know? (1Cor.2:9, CEV) “…What God has planned for people who love him is more than eyes have seen or ears have heard. It has never even entered our minds!” We are praying you discover daily that you are seeing and hearing good things from your heavenly Father.  (Marty’s Daily Discovery as heard on TEXAS PRAISE RADIO at the bottom of the hour 24hrs/day.)

Word of God is Alive and Active

The Word of God is alive and active and cannot stop being alive and active. May the redemptive, productive Word you heard days ago or even years ago be alive and active in you today, producing fruit unto righteousness, life to the glory of our Lord’s name.  ”God means what he says. What he says goes. His powerful Word is sharp as a surgeon’s scalpel, cutting through everything, whether doubt or defense, laying us open to listen and obey. Nothing and no one is impervious to God’s Word. We can’t get away from it—no matter what.” (Heb.4:12-13, Msg)

Release From Anger

As the people of God assemble today, may they encourage each other and help each other to turn away from anger (even if it is the result of injustice), so that they may be released from that which eats at them and leaves them miserable. (Ps.37:8, Amp) “Cease from anger and abandon wrath; Do not fret; it leads only to evil.”

Stir Up The Amen

Keep the “Amen” alive in you; that “Amen” the Holy Spirit put down deep in you when you accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior. Worship, read the Word, listen to the teaching of the Word, share your testimony. Stir up the “Amen” to Who God is and to His Word.  “Whatever God has promised gets stamped with the Yes of Jesus. In Him, this is what we preach and pray, THE GREAT AMEN, God’s Yes and our Yes together, gloriously evident. God affirms us, making us a sure thing in Christ, PUTTING HIS YES WITHIN US. By His Spirit He has stamped us with His eternal pledge—a sure beginning of what He is destined to complete.” (2Cor.1:20-22, Msg)

More Fully What God Intended

It has been said that “graveyards are full of good intentions that were never walked out,  full of dreams never fulfilled, books never written, relationships that were never gleaned from”. May you realize today that there is no reason for you to live a lesser version of what God intended you to be. There is no reason for you not to dream and, with the enablements of the Spirit of God, press forward beyond discouragements and obstacles.  (1Pe.5:9b-11, Msg) “….keep a firm grip on the faith… It won’t be long before this generous God who has great plans for us in Christ… will have you put together and on your feet for good.”  We are praying you discover daily that you are becoming more fully what Father God intended.

Big Bad Christian Crusher?

There is no weapon in all of hell’s arsenal that is marked “Sure ‘Nuff Christian Killer.” “No weapon forged against you will prevail (Isa.54:17).”  There is no diabolical demon on the lower level of hell behind a great steel and concrete door marked “Big Bad Christian Crusher.” There just simply is no such thing. Indeed he has come to “steal, to kill and to destroy (Jn.10:10)” but he cannot unless we fall for his propaganda and give in to his deception. (Marty Gabler from his book “Sheep Have Short Legs”.)

God Intervenes – We Cooperate

We can pray and declare God’s will from the known will of God concerning each of those five points where we expect to see The Intervener. The known will of God is His written Word. (1) He will intervene with people—(Rom.12:17, Amp) “Repay no one evil for evil, but take thought for what is honest and proper and noble [aiming to be above reproach] in the sight of everyone.  18  If possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone. 19  Beloved, never avenge yourselves, but leave the way open for [God’s] wrath; for it is written, Vengeance is Mine, I will repay (requite), says the Lord.” God will intervene but our cooperation is essential. (2) God will intervene in our health—(3Jn.1:2, Msg) “We’re the best of friends, and I pray for good fortune in everything you do, and for your good health–that your everyday affairs prosper, as well as your soul!”  (3) He will intervene in our finances—(Phil.4:19, Amp) “And my God will liberally supply (fill to the full) your every need according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.”  (4) He will intervene in our nation—(Prov.14:34, GW) ”Righteousness lifts up a nation, but sin is a disgrace in any society.” (Ps.33:12, KJV) ”Blessed [is] the nation whose God [is] the LORD;”  (5) Our Lord will intervene for Israel—(Ps.121:4, KJV) ”Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep.”  God will intervene but our cooperation is essential.  (Excerpt seven from Marty’s article “Deflecting Attacks and Seeing the Intervener”.)

Your Home – A Place of Healing

Have you ever wished that there was some place other than a hospital where you could go for healing? Have you wished there was a place of peace where you could completely escape the harshness of the world around you? Do you realize that prayer, belief in the Word of God and trusting in His desires for you can make your home into such a place? Father God desires your wholeness and your peace of mind.  May your home be a place of healing and recuperation from illnesses and from the harshness of the environment you move in on a daily basis.  (Ps.91:10, GW) “No harm will come to you.  No sickness will come near your house.”  We are praying you discover daily that you are seeing your home become a place of healing.  (Marty’s Daily Discovery as heard on TEXAS PRAISE RADIO at the bottom of the hour 24hrs/day.)

The Intervener

While praying I believe the Lord spoke to my heart that we can see THE INTERVENER. The word “intervene” means: “to come between disputing people, groups, etc.; intercede; mediate; to interfere with force or a threat of force.” (Merriam Webster)  We can cry out to the Lord God and (1) He will intervene for us with people we have not been able to get resolve with. (2) He will intervene and turn our health around. (3) He will intervene in our finances. (4) He will intervene in the unrighteous issues of our nation. (5) He will intervene for Israel.  (Isa.64:4, NET)  “Since ancient times no one has heard or perceived, no eye has seen any God besides you, who intervenes for those who wait for him.” Let us expect to see the Great Intervener, faithful God.  (Excerpt six from Marty’s article “Deflecting Attacks and Seeing the Intervener”.)

Winning

As the people of God assemble today, and as the folks in Houston (with their team WINNING and advancing to the world series) enjoy a pleasant distraction from hurricane recovery, may the people of God also anticipate to WIN against the opposing storms of darkness that seek to stop the advancing of the Kingdom of God in our nation.  “We’ll ask the Lord to save us! We’ll sincerely ask the Lord to let us WIN.” (Ps.118:25, CEV)

A Guard on my Lips

Let us be careful what we say. The Lord doesn’t want what we speak falling to the ground (1Sam.3:19)

“Set a guard, O Lord, before my mouth; keep watch at the door of my lips.” (Ps.141:3, Amp)________________________________________________________________________________________

Where is a Hero When You Need One?

We hear stories and testimonies and we long for those extraordinary, even miraculous things to happen for us. When I was child and frightened, I longed for a fearless, strong, undefeated hero to rush in and come to my rescue. Do you find yourself asking, “Where is a hero when you need one?” Perhaps a little different tack on this subject would be more help than regretfully wishing. (Rom.10:8, Msg) “So what exactly was Moses saying? The word that saves is right here, as near as the tongue in your mouth, as close as the heart in your chest. It’s the word of faith that welcomes God to go to work and set things right for us. This is the core of our preaching.” We can choose to either wish and complain or we can search out, learn and memorize scriptural ammunition to use in the fight. (Isa.49:2, CEV) “He made my words pierce like a sharp sword or a pointed arrow; he kept me safely hidden in the palm of his hand.”  (Rev.1:16, KJV) “And he had in his right hand seven stars: and out of his mouth went a sharp two-edged sword…”.  (Excerpt five from Marty’s article “Deflecting Attacks and Seeing the Intervener”.)
