Imperative to be Properly Connected

The fruit of our lives is a witness of the connections we have made. In Jn.15:4, Jesus makes it plain that the only way a branch can produce fruit is to live in the vine, i.e., be properly connected.  ”Abide in Me, and I will abide in you. A branch cannot bear fruit if it is disconnected from the vine, and neither will you if you are not connected to Me.” (Jn.15:4, The Voice)

Accomplished Through Connection

Jesus blessed many lives. He did miracles by the power of the Holy Spirit that redemptively impacted people. Jesus got done what He got done because of His connection with the Father. Jn 5:19  Jesus said to the Jews, “I can guarantee this truth: The Son cannot do anything on his own. He can do only what he sees the Father doing. Indeed, the Son does exactly what the Father does.” (GW) The fruit of our lives is a witness of the connections we have made. In Jn.15:4 Jesus makes it plain that the only way a branch can produce fruit is to live in the vine, i.e., be properly connected. We are praying you discover daily that you are connected to Father God through Jesus for His redemptive purposes in the earth.  (Marty’s Daily Discovery as heard on TEXAS PRAISE RADIO at the bottom of the hour 24hrs/day.) www.txpraise.com

The Most Valuable Connection Of All

ConnectionJesus had the most valuable connection of all, connection with the Father and His desire was that we might experience that connection. The Father set things up in such a way that we may have connection with Him through Jesus so that we can do what Jesus did. Jn 17:21  “I pray that all of these people continue to have unity in the way that you, Father, are in me and I am in you.” (GW)  Then Jesus goes on to illustrate to us the flow of power and energy to the branches of the vine which produce the grapes. That flow and fruitfulness is a result of that connection. Jn 15:4  “Live in me. Make your home in me just as I do in you. In the same way that a branch can’t bear grapes by itself but only by being joined to the vine, you can’t bear fruit unless you are joined with me. 5  “I am the Vine, you are the branches. When you’re joined with me and I with you, the relation intimate and organic, the harvest is sure to be abundant. Separated, you can’t produce a thing.” (MSG)

Operator! I’ve Been Disconnected!

People on phoneAs important as being connected is, we immediately
look to others and demand correction of the matter.
“Operator! Fix this situation! Give me back my line
of communication!” As important as being connected
is in this time of history, i.e. His Story, we must wisely
choose and guard our connections in the Kingdom of God.
