Possibilities and Regrets

MARTY GABLER—Would-a, should-a, could-a… ah, those little nagging possibilities and regrets. They are those things that chase away sleep while the mind races and the heart thumps away at an accelerated rate because you feel dumb and have come to the undeniable conclusion that you would have just been better off if you had never gotten out of bed this morning. Right at that point is when you feel lower than a caterpillar’s belly in a wagon rut.  Just a few days ago you felt ten feet tall in the Spirit and now you have to tiptoe to reach the doorknob.
As a mentor told me many years ago, “Forgive yourself and go on.”  Go back to believing what your Lord says about you. Go back and stand on those promises–and it probably wouldn’t hurt to do a little speaking in tongues while you are at it. HE Who raised up Abraham and Sarah and made of them a great people; HE Who raised up Israel after captivity will raise you up again! Forget the would-a, should-a, could-a’s. It’s time to remember The Rock.
“Hearken to Me, you who follow after rightness and justice, you who seek and inquire of [and require] the Lord [claiming Him by necessity and by right]: look to the rock from which you were hewn and to the hole in the quarry from which you were dug; (Isa.51:1, Amp)

No Weapon Formed

No weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isa.54:17). This is the reason why:  No matter the size or type of weapon, it is soooo inconsequential in comparison to your God. Everything He is and everything He can do overwhelms it and engulfs you and the weapon. “For [in comparison with the Lord they are so weak that things as insignificant as] the moth shall eat them up like a garment, and the worm shall eat them like wool. But My rightness and justice [and faithfully fulfilled promise] shall be forever, and My salvation to all generations.” (Isa.51:8, Amp)
