Resolve Tired
KATHY GABLER—If we are tired and ignore tired and do not resolve tired, we can slide into weariness. Then our attitude is affected. Like in an airplane, the wrong “attitude” will change the final outcome. Attitude that is off a few degrees will influence our decisions and choices, causing them to miss the mark by a few degrees. That can lead to disappointment, despair and even desperateness. Recognize the first signs of tiredness and take a break for rest. It is during those times the Holy Spirit can redefine “well doing” if necessary. If you get to the “weary” phase you can miss the harvest, you can miss the good results simply because you have lost focus and are not looking. “And let us not lose heart and grow weary and faint in acting nobly and doing right, for in due time and at the appointed season we shall reap, if we do not loosen and relax our courage and faint.” (Gal.6:9, Amp)

Don’t Give Up
As the people of God assemble today, may they not give up on the promises and enablements of God for them and may they not give up on one another’s promises, gifts and callings. ”So let’s not allow ourselves to get fatigued doing good. At the right time we will harvest a good crop if we don’t give up, or quit. Right now, therefore, every time we get the chance, let us work for the benefit of all, starting with the people closest to us in the community of faith.” (Gal.6:9, Msg)

Wait on God
Instead of picking a point to throw our hands up and quit, I’m thinking it might be wiser to expect God to be God and to wait on Him. Psalm 25 says, I
will wait on God . That means I will gather all my expectations and twist them into a strong cord and hold on to my confidence that God will have the last word on all matters that concern me. It also means that I will trudge through disappointment and delays until I get to His results. That is simple truth that sometimes seems extremely complex to live just because life is so daily. It is a daily challenge to wait on God and wake up to face sameness without flinching and to outwit reasoning that demands we “get real” and find a livable acre this side of a miracle. Stress sniffs us out daily when we are waiting on God, and if it gets a grip, it will drag us into emotional fatigue that can lead to weariness in our attitude. The word says not to be weary in well doing. Waiting on our faithful God is “well doing,” but if we get snared in weariness, we are liable to faint and miss our awaited God outcome (Gal 6:9).
