The Grace of His Love

As the people of God assemble today may they sing of and speak of and encourage one another of the goodness of Father God and the mercy and grace of His love. churchlightraysEph.1:3-6, Msg — “[The God of Glory] How blessed is God! And what a blessing he is! He’s the Father of our Master, Jesus Christ, and takes us to the high places of blessing in him. Long before he laid down earth’s foundations, he had us in mind, had settled on us as the focus of his love, to be made whole and holy by his love. Long, long ago he decided to adopt us into his family through Jesus Christ. (What pleasure he took in planning this!) He wanted us to enter into the celebration of his lavish gift-giving by the hand of his beloved Son.”

Bonds of the Family of God

FellowshipHarmonyAs the people of God assemble today may they give themselves to the viability of the Word of God and the strength of fellowship and stand firm that their peace not be stolen. May they find refuge in the shelter of the Almighty and find security in the bonds of the family of God. Eph.2:19, ESV — “So then you are no longer strangers and aliens, but you are fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God.”

On to Victories

As the people of God assemble today may those whose hearts are heavy from failures, defeats and grief of the past year lift their heads, get a deep breath and realize that they are part of the family of God and that they have strength and fellowship through Christ our Lord and the family of God to go on to victories in the coming year.  “But You, O Lord, are a shield for me, my glory, and the lifter of my head. 4 With my voice I cry to the Lord, and He hears and answers me out of His holy hill. Selah [pause, and calmly think of that]! (Ps.3:3-4, Amp)

Acceptance And Assurance

ShakingHandsAs the people of God assemble today, may they give and receive the touch of acceptance and assurance that they are part of the family of God, the household of faith.

“Practice hospitality to one another (those of the household of faith). [Be hospitable, be a lover of strangers, with brotherly affection for the unknown guests, the foreigners, the poor, and all others who come your way who are of Christ’s body.] And [in each instance] do it ungrudgingly (cordially and graciously, without complaining but as representing Him).” (1Pe.4:9, Amp)
