Intercessors and Isolation

Kathy Gabler — Satan desires to isolate and separate intercessors to intimidate them. Relationship defines but isolation blurs identity and allows weaknesses to remain unconfronted. Isolation can make the intercessor introspective, constantly dealing with self and be baited into agreement and develop a sense of unworthiness which can override our believer’s authority in Christ and defeat the intercessor’s call to prayer. Prov.18:1, TPT — “An unfriendly person isolates himself and seems to care only about his own issues. For his contempt of sound judgment makes him a recluse.”

Participate in Resurrection Life

MELISSA—Another way to participate in resurrection life is to speak what the Holy Spirit is telling you. This isn’t about having a microphone at church, this is about daily life. “Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruits.” (Proverbs 18:21) Jesus is a perfect example of how powerful words are. We have that same power in us and it’s time to shift atmospheres with our words.

Power of Accusation

Melissa—This is where the power of accusation comes from: Proverbs 18:21 “Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.” Proverbs 11:9 “An hypocrite with his mouth destroyeth his neighbor” Prov. 15:4 (MSG) “Kind words heal and help; cutting words wound and maim.” It is the epitome of “using your powers for good and not evil”.  There is power in our words because God intended it that way so we can make a difference when we speak. The problem is that we tend to forget that it goes both ways.

Relationship Rather Than Recluse

Kathy — Satan desires to isolate and separate intercessors to intimidate them.

No Need to Strain

WomanStrainingHeadache.jpgYour gift will make a place for you in the Body of Christ (Prov.18:16). You don’t have to strain at it nor do you have to make a place for yourself. Allow God to develop in you the particular gifting the Holy Spirit has put in you. The typical scriptural scenario will show it takes time to develop the Spirit’s gifts in humans. God uses people, circumstances and time.
