What Would the Average Person Never Imagine?
There is no evidence in scripture that anyone imagined the Red Sea parting. Phillip could not begin to imagine 5,000 people fed with only a couple of little fish and a little bit of bread. What if when we come up against the next impossible situation we just said, “Hey, what awesome way does God want to do this?” “What would the average person never imagine in this situation?” Graham Cooke was quoted as saying, “Sometimes I think that sin is not necessarily immorality or selfishness. Sometimes it just means we live drab, colorless, stale, and unimaginative lives before God.” Holy Spirit, quicken the Word of God within us to inspire us to see beyond the limiting realm of our daily existence. ”For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.” (Isa.55:9, KJV)

Imagination Available to God
We must do something to see beyond our norm. What about an imagination that is available to God? Do we only see the mundane and the predictable and then do we pray and limit our expectations from that mundane perspective?
Have we sentenced ourselves to only praying within the predictable because of past disappointments and the conclusions of others? Children run around with a towel tied around their neck imagining that they can fly, imagining they are super heroes until we talk them out of it. As the New Year approaches let’s neglect the tendency to allow our constant consideration of our limitations to prevail and let’s reach for those new horizons where God delights in showing His kids things they have never seen. “Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.” (Jer.33:3, NKJV)

To Him That Believes
As the people of God assemble today, may they encourage one another to look beyond the limits of their own experiences and disappointments to see what none of their eyes have seen and what none of their ears have heard and what none of their minds have imagined (1Cor.2:9). May they see and hear and wrap their minds around all that is possible to him that believeth. (Mk.9:23) “If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.”July 23, 2017 | Categories: Uncategorized | Tags: 1 Corinthians 2:9, 1 Thessalonians 4:17, anticipation, Apostle, Barbara Yoder, Bethel, Bible, Bill Johnson, Body of Christ, celebrate, CFNI, charismatic, Chuck Pierce, church, Cindy Jacobs, circumstances, comfort, Daily Discovery, Damon Thompson, destiny, dreams, Dutch Sheets, elderly, encouragement, expectancy, faith, father, fishes, Five-Fold, FMCI, future, gifts of the Spirit, god speaks, grace, Haggin, happy, healing, Holy Spirit, hope, Identity, imagination, intercession, Isaiah 9:7, Israel, Jentezen Franklin, Jeremiah 29:11, Jesus, Jim Goll, Jim Hodges, John 3:16, John Eckhart, John Kelly, Joseph Prince, Joyce Meyer, Kathy Gabler, Kim Clement, Kingdom of God, Lakewood, Lance Wallnau, life, Lindsey, loaves, manifestation, Mark 9:23, Marty Gabler, Matthew 6:10, Matthew 6:33, Myles Munroe, obstacles, ORU, Osteen, power of god, prayer, problems, prophecy, prophesy, prophet, prophetic, prosperity, purpose, Redding, rejoice, Rick Joyner, Rick Pino, righteousness, salvation, Savior, SEEC Ministries, sons of God, spiritual warfare, success, TD Jakes, Texas, Tony Evans, victorious, victory, visions, Will of God, wisdom, word of god | Leave a comment

Available Imagination
A child is always full of anticipation and is always using their imagination to carry them beyond the mundane of ever-present limitations. When children approached Jesus in Mark 10:13-15 He expressed a desire to be surrounded by them and their minds ripe with anticipation. He announced to
the deeply, zealous religious people around Him that He desired they become like those little ones who don’t try entering the Kingdom with agendas, preconceived ideas, preferences and jaded imaginations which leave no room for the limitless possibilities of Almighty God. It would appear from this context that we will not see (v.15) the awesome, mind-shattering acts of the rule and power of Jehovah unless we approach Him with an imagination and attitude of anticipation to enter into His redemptive workings in this hour of unprecedented need and opportunity. Many have made their time, talents and money available to God to do the predictable, but mustn’t we make our childlike imaginations available to participate with a God Who has never been creatively stagnant and Who has never bowed to limit Himself to the mundane?

The Anticipation Factor
If a preacher wants to get us really excited, all they have to do is quote 1Cor.2:9 – “But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither
have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.” It is then, out of our lack and loss, quite easy for us to come up with all manner of things for God to show us and tell us. But don’t rule out the Holy Spirit’s involvement: v.10 “BUT God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.” We must be in relationship with Holy Spirit to have those things revealed. He is the agent of the things revealed. Human lack and research will not get it done. That might even cause us to completely miss the largeness and uniqueness of what God has in store. We do not have to wait for heaven to see them and to hear them. Holy Spirit is the power-factor, influence-factor, heart-change factor. He is even the anticipation-factor.
