Don’t Discount Resurrection Power

The word resurrection means “to stand up again.” The Philistines thought that Samson was down for the count just like the devil and the princes of this world thought Jesus was down for the count (1Co
2:7-8). But when resurrection power hit the body of Jesus, He stood up again. When resurrection power came upon Samson, he stood up again and the Philistines, what few were left, wished he never had. You may be down and out for the count as far as the enemy and some people are concerned. But don’t discount the resurrection power that comes from an encounter with God.

Power of God Demonstrated

May your heart be filled with desire and expectancy to show forth the power of God as well as His words and principles of truth, doctrine and theology. May the naysayers that oppose and argue against the Spirit of Christ be speechless as they hear of and witness the powerful Word of God in action as lives are redeemed, bodies healed and signs and wonders loosed that point back to Jesus the risen Christ.  (1Cor.2:4-5, KJV)  “And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man’s wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power:  5 That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.” We are praying you discover daily the power of God is demonstrated through your life.

Jesus Redemptively Confronted Darkness

OrangeSkySun
The “THY” of “Thy Kingdom come” is Redeemer. Redemptive acts serve to bring people out of that which would be destructive. In the Gospels Jesus acted redemptively (Lk.10:9; 11:20) and His disciples/apostles acted in like manner (1Cor.2:4; 4:20; 1Thess.1:5). Jesus brought back from destruction the morally corrupt, the physically depleted and the hopelessly demonized. In the Gospels He redemptively confronted and contradicted darkness both tangibly and intangibly which His disciples/apostles also did in the Book of Acts.

Demonstration Of Power

Powerful sun

As the people of God assemble today, may their hearts be filled with desire and expectancy to show forth the power of God as well as His words and principles of truth, doctrine and theology. May the naysayers that oppose and argue against the Spirit of Christ be speechless as they hear of and witness the powerful Word of God in action as lives are redeemed, bodies healed and signs and wonders loosed that point back to Jesus the risen Christ.

“And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man’s wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power:  5 That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.” (1Cor.2:4-5, KJV)

Simply Let God’s Spirit Show His Power

As the people of God assemble today may their preachers simply let God’s Spirit show His power and may the people of God be moved upon by that Spirit power and move out into the coming week with testimonies of the possibilities of the workings of God Almighty.

“When I talked with you or preached, I didn’t try to prove anything by sounding wise. I simply let God’s Spirit show his power.” (1Co 2:4, CEV)
