The Original Warranty

God simply does not produce junk. He didn’t create humanity with only “one shot” to make it a good life, so “you better not mess up” or get sick in the process or “your life is over”. In fact, God Himself created the original warranty when Jesus took those stripes on His back (Isa. 53:5 & 1 Pe. 2:24). Yeah, that’s right, we have a never ending warranty on us, signed in blood. This warranty includes, “…all things that pertain unto life and godliness” (2 Pe. 1:3). We have in us what we need right now, at this moment in time, for ourselves AND for our nation. Dare I even say, for the world. We have it because we have a relationship with Jesus Christ which opens us up to be a floodgate of Heaven on earth.

Redemptive Intervention

Here is yet another possibility for a redemptive act. A pastor and his congregation are continually looking for ways to be involved in their community. They work with law enforcement and with local schools and tutor children after school in a facility that the church has rented just for that purpose. They are very trusted by the local schools. Occasionally a school will ask the pastor (who is also a businessman in the community) to please come and deal with a classroom that has gotten out of control and it is typically because of one child that has gotten out of hand. He will walk into the room, ask the Lord for discernment and wisdom and love. He then takes the errant child aside and simply has a father-like talk with them and lets them know he is for them and they can count on him. Teachers and school officials are very glad he is on their team.

Built As A Dwelling Place

As the people of God assemble today, may awesome God more fully
and completely do His work of forming and shaping so He may use
each of us as a building block to form a well-built dwelling for His
mighty Holy Spirit to abide in and work out of.

“In him you also are being built together into a dwelling
place for God by the Spirit.” (Eph.2:22, ESV)

Thank God In The Night

May we awaken in the night to give thanks and to receive
insight and be stirred in the truth that our God is available
to those who seek Him and may we return expectantly to
restful sleep knowing that He is acting in our behalf.

A redemptive act may be giving a $20.00 tip and a kind word
to a waitress under a heavy load of family problems after a
mean-spirited customer cussed her out for no good reason
and left her an 11 cent tip.

Redeeming Property

A redemptive act may be buying a piece of property that has been used for pornography or human trafficking or manufacturing illegal drugs, then taking that property and using it to help addicts get delivered or using it as a home for abandoned children. It has been done several times across the nation.

Redemptive Word Of Affirmation

A redemptive act can be as simple as speaking a word of affirmation to a child who has been abused or neglected or bullied. That word of affirmation may possibly save their life. One day when we were eating at a restaurant I noticed a large family who had gathered to eat at several tables pulled together. There was a young man about 15 years old that the Lord began speaking to me about. I went over and gave the word the Lord had given me for him. Weeping, His dad pulled me aside and told me that I had just saved his son’s life. He was planning to commit suicide but that word spoke specifically to his need. The boy then joined us and thanked me and told me what it meant to him and how it had changed him and given him hope.

Meeting The Groan

As the people of God assemble today, may they receive the invigorating, equipping Word of God that will compel them to meet the groan of creation. That groan that is for those revealed as the authorized and empowered sons who release the compassion and power of the risen Christ to assuage the groan of that which is out from under the order of the King of Kings.
“[ Present distress is temporary and negligible ] In my opinion whatever we may have to go through now is less than nothing compared with the magnificent future God has planned for us. The whole creation is on tiptoe to see the wonderful sight of the sons of God coming into their own. The world of creation cannot as yet see reality, not because it chooses to be blind, but because in God’s purpose it has been so limited—yet it has been given hope. And the hope is that in the end the whole of created life will be rescued from the tyranny of change and decay, and have its share in that magnificent liberty which can only belong to the children of God!
