He Has Provided a Savior

mangerjesusAs the people of God assemble today may they open their hearts and mouths and sing joyous praises to their God because He has provided a Savior. “Joy to the world the Lord is come!”
“Yes, they shall sing of the ways of the Lord and joyfully celebrate His mighty acts, for great is the glory of the Lord.” (Ps.138:5, Amp)

Christmas Miracles Pt.2

At 4:00 the next morning, I felt tears trickling across my nose and woke up enough to realize what I was thinking and hearing.  When I pray for sunandrainmiracles, I’m asking for a sudden, complete, supernatural change in circumstances or conditions or people.  Most often, we think of miracles as the moment of change or relief or resolve that comes like a lightning strike, but they might turn out to be a slow rain instead.  Rather than think God is unfaithful or uncaring because we haven’t had that lightening moment, perhaps we should consider  the working of miracles as a process and consider, as well, that part of that working includes all the time and preparation and specific details that miracles sometimes require.

Someone Else’s Christmas Miracles

Last December, Marty was preparing to speak on Sunday.  Saturday night, he walked out of his office and said, “Before I start tomorrow, why don’t you encourage the people along the lines of how you have been praying for miracles in this Christmas season.”  I nodded like a sweet, obliging shepherdsstarhelpmate, not wanting to infect him with any “badditude” during his preparation.  One of the ways I sometimes demonstrate mercy is by not saying everything I’m thinking.  (Some folks reading this article can probably appreciate that more than others.)  As he walked back to his office, I continued thinking, “I’m not caught up in a forward momentum over that particular prayer this day after Christmas!”  Yes, it was still the season, but God had missed my deadlines for those prayers.  I wasn’t in a throw-down fit over that, but I was in a sit-down, back to the drawing board discouragement.  I mumbled to the Lord that I hadn’t seen a miracle in the Christmas season in any of the targets in my scope.  I even added, “But Lord, I’m still willing to rejoice over anybody’s miracle, my Church of Christ friend’s or my Lutheran friend’s or even a Democrat’s!

Rule of God in My Environment

ManPraiseSunriseWe are not just attempting to get people to heaven, we are part of a great plan to bring the rule of God into present circumstances. People don’t just need a ticket to heaven in the by and by, they need the rule of God now in their bodies, families, finances and workplace. It is one thing to speak of heaven and what it is going to be like “some glorious day,” but it is to the glory of the Father to give testimony of lives and circumstances invaded by that wonderful realm now. (Lk.10:9, KJV) “heal the sick that are therein, and say unto them, The kingdom of God is come nigh unto you.” We are praying you discover daily that you are making a difference as you bring the rule of God into your environment. God Not Limited

OuterSpaceEarthOur God of the impossible is not limited or defeated by facts and history. Our Redeemer can and will override history if we dare to trust Him and cooperate with Him. Whether it is in conversation or just a passing thought, God help us to realize in the moment when we are hearing contradictions to the will of our Father or perceiving evil threats or discerning assignments from hell so that those things are not left unconfronted!

Saying What the Word Says

Because we have stopped living by what is said BY OTHERS and have started living by what is said BY US, hopes, victories, prosperity, and health ManStandBiblecould come to pass. People have stopped taking medicine or started taking a medicine because someone with no medical training, said they should and the result was disastrous. People have invested in a market someone told them to invest in and the result was disastrous. We should be very wise in deciding whether to live by something said by others and decide the correctness of it by the truths evident in the Bible. (Matt.4:4, NKJV) “Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.’” We are praying you discover daily that you are living by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.  (Marty’s Daily Discovery as heard on TEXAS PRAISE RADIO at the bottom of the hour 24 hours/day.)

Speaking Life to Turn the Tide

tonguehandholdBelievers sometimes do not counterpunch error or deception or evil because they do not understand the creative force in their words. There is life and death in the power of the tongue (Prov.18:21) so we can speak a word and shatter darkness and kill its effect. Even when the facts are undeniable or blows are already struck and have already become a statistic, we can still speak life to turn the tide of consequences.

Come Into the Future

childrunfatherAs the people of God assemble today, may they be assured by leadership and by one another that Faithful God stands solidly in the future bidding His children to come that they may participate in His victorious ventures.
”Your people will come as volunteers that day; they will be a sight to see: on that day, you will lead your army, noble in their holiness.” (PS.110:3, Voice Bible)

Aligning With our Lord

We tend to focus on the physical, on our body, appearance and the physical logistics of opportunity and influence—like being around the right people shakehandssmileat the right time in the right places. But may our Lord, by His Word and Spirit, adjust and enhance everything we need to be emotionally, cognitively and subconsciously for aligning with that which our Lord has put in us. That which He has put in us is for bringing us to be the most effective we can be for His Kingdom purposes.
”We use our powerful God-tools for smashing warped philosophies, tearing down barriers erected against the truth of God, fitting every loose thought and emotion and impulse into the structure of life shaped by Christ.” (2Cor.10:5, Msg)
