Wall Without Gaps

As the people of God assemble today, may they each set their hearts upon being in unity with the others so that their lines cannot be broken and the wall has no gaps.  (Psa 133:1) “A Song of degrees of David.  Behold, how good and how pleasant [it is] for brethren to dwell together in unity!”

To Limit the Unlimited God

How to limit the unlimited God.  “…they turned back and tempted God, and limited the Holy One of Israel.” (Ps78:41) M.Henry says they limited Him to their way and their time. One can’t limit God in His wider purpose but one can limit His moving in their life. “Limited” means they circumscribed Him with bounds, virtually saying that there are some things which He cannot do; up to a certain point He has power, but after that He has not.(J-F-B) Yet, we continually long to see and experience what is beyond normal. Giving the limitless God full reign in one’s life may call for cooperating with measures and methods we have not thought normal.

June is For Choosing to Walk in The Right Way

The month of JUNE IS FOR CHOOSING TO WALK IN THE RIGHT WAY and making every decision to please God so we can bear fruit to His glory and have a rich experience in Him.  “We pray that you would walk in the ways of true righteousness, pleasing God in every good thing you do. Then you’ll become fruit-bearing branches, yielding to his life, and maturing in the rich experience of knowing God in his fullness!” (Col.1:10, TPT)

Jahweh is Faithful

Jahweh is no less faithful in this moment of history than He was in 2Co 4:9: “we know that God knows what to do; we’ve been spiritually terrorized, but God hasn’t left our side.” We live in this time in history because God ordained it so and He also ordained the days to come for His Name’s sake (Ps23:3;106:8;1Jn2:12;3Jn:1:7) even if there is opposition, we must come to understand and gain knowledge to overcome (1Chr 12:32). Resistance takes different forms at different stages of history and is dealt with at various intensity levels at various times but we still win battle after battle and conflict after conflict.

Entered a New Era

(Melissa Gabler) — It really is an exciting time even though it may not look like it because we have entered a new era. Let’s look a little closer at what this means.  Merriam Webster defines “era” as: “a memorable or important date or event, especially one that begins a new period in the history of a person or thing, a stage in development.”  When I read this definition, that last part jumped off the screen, “a stage in development”.  So, I looked up “development“: “1. An unfolding; the discovering of something secret or withheld from the knowledge of others; 2. The unraveling of a plot.” Oh my! We have been in the midst of an “unraveling plot” our entire lives! I am basing the time span of the past era on the life of Dr. Billy Graham.  There were several words out there that the death of Dr. Graham would mark significant change, and that is when I knew we were truly in a new era.  So, for most of us we have been in this “stage of development” all of our lives.  God has been developing the Kingdom here on earth throughout the past era and we are about to see what He has been doing. Big Ego

A big ego is like a big nose.
The bigger it is, the more
sensitive it is and the more
other people have to watch
out for it! — (Kathy Gabler)

Imperative to be Properly Connected

The fruit of our lives is a witness of the connections we have made. In Jn.15:4, Jesus makes it plain that the only way a branch can produce fruit is to live in the vine, i.e., be properly connected.  ”Abide in Me, and I will abide in you. A branch cannot bear fruit if it is disconnected from the vine, and neither will you if you are not connected to Me.” (Jn.15:4, The Voice)

Extreme and Strange Dreams

A good friend of mine had a strange dream and could not stop thinking about it.  She said, “I’ve been asking the Lord what He’s saying, but I don’t have an interpretation.” In her dream she was in a hospital maternity ward.  There was an infant she did not know but she felt concern and responsibility for the baby.  When she went to change the baby’s diaper, she realized this baby was pregnant and about to give birth.  She frantically sought out help but the nurse was too busy with other patients.  She woke up with a sense of frantic concern and urgency that lingered for days and she desperately sought the Lord to understand what He was saying.

Extreme and strange dreams sometimes seem so far out of our control that it is easy to conclude they are not natural and therefore must be SUPER-natural in source.  We then assume God is the one that is saying something but don’t realize His silence is saying something, “It is not me talking.”  The frustration gets thicker because we cannot imagine how such a strange dream experience could come up from within us!  It is a good thing at this point to look at the dream again and dissect it.

  3. When considering a dream or vision, watch for symbolism.  Symbolism is an object, person or action or event that represents something other than itself.  A pregnant baby is obviously symbolic.  If cats are talking or dogs are driving your car, you’re “not in Kansas anymore” and you’re not talking “literal.”  Thankfully, we do not have to be experts on symbolism to discover what something symbolizes.  We can find out what a symbol represents through prayerfully brainstorming it or researching it until we find an option that bears witness concerning the dream.  (By the way, when you do get understanding about a symbol, record it.  It is likely to become part of your dream language or dream vocabulary and it will usually have the same significance in future dreams.)

What does a baby symbolize?  To it’s care-giver, a baby represents a new beginning, new potential, new responsibility, etc.  The baby itself symbolizes being vulnerable, unequipped, immature, inexperienced, unskilled, innocent, ignorant, etc.

4. When considering a dream or vision, note the setting.  See if it is a reference to an event, season, relationship, pattern, timing, etc.  For example, if the setting is Grandma’s house, the dream message is likely dealing with family history or something from your childhood. The setting of this lady’s dream was a time and place of  birthing or a time and place of new responsibility, a new beginning and a new focus. That was a clue to understanding the reason for this dream, especially since her baby, (literally her youngest daughter), was in a time and place of just such new responsibility.

5. When considering a dream or vision, watch for literal aspects among the symbolism.

During the dream, this dreamer was anxious about who could help and who would be responsible for the outcome of this situation.  She was not able or even skilled to help with this medical situation. That detail indicated this was not God commissioning her nor a God-to-Man communication with instructions for her to hurry and handle her daughter’s challenge in real life. This dream was from within her and revealed her concerns  regarding her baby having a baby.

Her daughter had just been appointed as a new pastor.  The anxiousness was because of the many factors a baby implies.  She was worried that her daughter may lack experience or ability or maturity or experience to handle what she was beginning.  Her dream brought the anxiousness that was already within her up into her awareness like a flood.  That is why she woke up feeling frantic with a sense of urgency.  When the dream revealed her inner fretting, that she had not realized, she knew she must choose to trust God instead of herself and come to relief and resolve through effectual prayer for her baby girl. (Last excerpt from Kathy’s article “Considering Dreams and Visions”)

Edifying Conversation to Benefit Others

As the people of God assemble today, may they converse with one another in such a way that each is edified and no carnal subjects or gossiping distract persons from what the Lord might be wanting to say to each one in the assembly.  “But now, put all these things behind you. No more evil temper or furious rage: no more evil thoughts or words about others, no more evil thoughts or words about God, and no more filthy conversation.” (Col.3:8, Phillips)
