This is the day the Lord has made so… I will rejoice and be glad and exhibit the fruit of the Spirit in it. “22 – But the fruit of the [Holy] Spirit [the work which His presence within accomplishes] is love, joy (gladness), peace, patience (an even temper, forbearance), kindness, goodness (benevolence), faithfulness, 23 — Gentleness (meekness, humility), self-control (self-restraint, continence). Against such things there is no law [that can bring a charge].” (Gal.5:22-23, Amp)
Tomorrow is Pentecost Sunday and it has been well said that the Holy Spirit is the most important Person on earth. The groaning of creation for the sons of God to be revealed is met with the power of the Holy Spirit in bringing the realm of heaven into history. We are bringing the realm of heaven into history by (1.) first receiving the Baptism with the Holy Spirit and then through (2.) demonstrating the fruit of the Spirit and (3.) ministering the gifts of the Holy Spirit.
In the face of the present overwhelming need of this world I say, “The Holy Spirit is enough.” The fruit of the Holy Spirit (Gal.5:22-25) manifests in this earth the conduct and relationships of heaven. We must get the conduct and relationships of heaven into earth. The gifts of the Holy Spirit (1Cor.12:7-11) manifest in this earth the power of heaven over our limitations. We must get the power and benefits of heaven into earth. Limitations bring groaning, despair and hopelessness. The fruit of the Spirit and the gifts of the Spirit bring release. Where the Spirit of the Lord is there is liberty. Come Holy Spirit, we need Thee.
