A word Kathy got from the Lord concerning this season is that we (including you) are coming out from under the shadow of an old enemy. She believed that she was hearing that for us as individuals and for the nation on the whole. Old enemies are going to lose their voice — defeating voices that keep resounding in our heads and voices that keep sounding out through various media in our nation. There has been a drain on us because, up until now, there has been no release. But in this season that is now shifting into position, those voices will be silenced. Take that word for yourself and declare it and pray over it.

Waking Up
We are rejoicing in the cooler fall weather and are sensing that there is shifting going on in more than just the natural seasons. Rom.13:11a “And this, knowing the season, that already it is time for you to
awake out of sleep…”. I declare to you that the people of God are waking up to matters and individuals who have been busily available to the machinations of darkness as willing pawns to produce chaos and resist righteousness in this nation. “Sleep” that has hindered recognition and participation in the advancement of the Kingdom is being wiped from our eyes so that we may clearly see what has been presented as mere political maneuvering to promote a candidate and their party. It is not being wiped away so we may simply lay blame but so that we may actively be involved at every possible level, especially in prayer and declarations. Our President and his co-laborers in moving our nation toward righteousness must have our continual prayer covering. I urge you to read my article in this issue of SEEC Magazine “Why the Uproar and Rage?”. It has been mailed out through the US Postal Service and through email. In my article I quote Apostle Jim Hodges’ recent statement: “America has a history of challenges and crises, and we have come to another defining moment, a tipping point. May the Spirit upon David come upon all the followers of David’s greater Son, the Lord Jesus Christ!”

The Lord Help You
May the Lord enable you to get many things done today and may they be done successfully, easily and cheaply. May you check off many tasks on your to-do list and be satisfied. “…They knew that this work was completed with the help of our God.” (Neh.6:16, CEB)

What we See the Father Doing
Fresh obedience is doing what we see the Father doing today (Jn.5:19). That could be as radical as healing a woman in the synagogue on the sabbath, in the presence of those who think the time and place are totally inappropriate. That could be as revolutionary as taking over the weather and stopping a storm in order to complete a specific mandate on the other side of the lake. (Fourth excerpt from Kathy’s article “Fresh Obedience”)

Pulling Down Strongholds
A prophetic church does not run for a safe bunker and begin praying for escape from the planet every time another threat comes from some despot in the Middle East. That church does not tremble and
fret because its favorite political party is not in the White House. It is not a church reciting prayers while on the run. It is an offensive army on the march; taking territory from the “ites” and pulling down strongholds. The prophetic church does warfare by revelation. A people who seeks their God for a battle plan will win the war (cf.2Sam.5: 22-25; Dan.11:32; Joel2:11).” A wise man attacks the city of the mighty and pulls down the strong-hold in which they trust (Prov. 21:22).” We don’t physically attack cities or people but we bring prayer and declarations against the strongholds of evil institutions (2Cor.10:3-5).
Change is Coming
For several years we have heard the church will not look the same in the future. The one clarity in that proclamation is that change is coming. The only way to embrace the right changes is to follow the specific directives of the Holy Spirit in our place of purpose. The result will be new models emerging. (Kathy Gabler)
Seek Wisdom
As the people of God look toward the months ahead, may they incline their ears to hear the wisdom of the Word of God. May they seek that wisdom like silver and like hidden treasure. May they adjust their thinking and declarations to align with the Wisdom of the Ages and may those around them benefit as well. “He hides away sound and godly Wisdom and stores it for the righteous…” (Prov.2:7a, Amp)

The Singing Voice is the Victorious Voice
We prophesy the enemy’s defeat not only in speech but also in song. We not only prophesy the greatness of our God in speech but also in song. The singing voice is the joyous voice. The singing voice is the victorious voice. Paul and Silas sang the praises of God, not until the jailer shook, but, until the earth shook. Their praises brought their liberty. “But as for me, I will sing of Your mighty strength and power; Yes, I will sing joyfully of Your lovingkindness in the morning; For You have been my stronghold And a refuge in the day of my distress.” (Ps.59:16, Amp)
Challenge to Adjust
We all have paradigms and they are in our mental files and they affect our choices and our expectations. So, the challenge is to realize when our examples and typical patterns need adjustment. That realization does not come by focusing on the pattern, but rather by following the Holy Spirit. The adjustments will come and we will build newer models as we walk in fresh obedience to the Holy Spirit. Fresh obedience will never contradict God’s principles nor His character, but it may reach past known borders and it will not bow to former limitations. (Second excerpt from Kathy’s article “Fresh Obedience”)
Obedience and the Different Path
A paradigm is simply an example or a typical pattern. We all have them in our mental files and they affect our choices and our expectations. They become our standard or ruler to measure rightness or success. These former models or expected patterns can set our goals and be our driving force whether we realize it or not. For example, we go to church and expect to find the model we have known in the past. Even if that model is flawed or should be changing, maturing and growing, we measure its rightness by the known pattern.
We must keep in mind that paradigms come from experience. That means they were built in a past season or a specific situation or a particular set of circumstances; and just as seasons, situations and circumstances change, it is likely that our paradigms will have to adjust. If they don’t, former examples and patterns will continue to drive us even when obedience or excellence would go a different path. (First excerpt from Kathy’s article “Fresh Obedience”)
