Kathy — I’ve asked the Lord many times, “How long are fiery trials supposed to last?” I’d like to say He answered, “Twenty minutes to twenty days, max!” However, we have all lived long enough to know better. He patiently explains to me, again, that time is not the issue in trials. Results are the issue. While we watch the clock or calendar during trials, God looks at the growth, maturity and changes in us. (Rom.5:3-4)

A Paradigm Shift Away
Your new season is only a paradigm shift away. It may not be possible for some of us to fulfill our course and walk through the experiences and circumstances that course will take us through, while maintaining our same old paradigms about who God is and how He moves and works in this hour. One of the purposes of seasons is likely the purpose to open up a wider revelation of who God is and what His ways are. (Rom12:2)
To Train our Children in Godly Wisdom
As the people of God assemble today may they rejoice and be glad and grow strong 
in spirit and be filled with wisdom. Jesus was born with purpose and so are we. From the beginning, He not only grew physically but in His spirit and in wisdom for what was to come. One of our major goals for our children in 2020 should be to see them filled with the Spirit and to train them in godly wisdom. “And the Child grew and became strong in spirit, filled with wisdom; and the grace (favor and spiritual blessing) of God was upon Him.” (Lk.2:40)

Don’t allow people or circumstances to talk you out of the promise, purpose or prophecy of God. Be careful who you allow to persuade or dissuade you. Don’t just stand around listening to what people think or say. Go back to what God has said, what God has done. Go back to that moment, no matter how faint or how brief. (Rom.4:21)
Hit in the Mind
The Rock hit Goliath in the mind resulting in a miraculous, unprecedented victory. (1Sam.17:49) The Goliath of this age: the mind, the thinking, the reasoning of opposition to Christ and His purpose in this hour of history must be hit with THE Rock (2Sam.22:2;Mt.7:24): i.e., His Word, His righteousness, His purpose, His Name, His actions… consistently. A biblical worldview must be foremost in the hearts and actions of His people.
Unified Vehicle for the Will of God
Stars and planets were said to have lined up for this one-time event. The star that 
pointed the way to the newborn King was the result of predetermined movements of the heavenly bodies. Yahweh’s creation is a unified vehicle for His will. Importance of the birth of Jesus caused the members of the universe to come into a particular alignment both for cooperation and to highlight the significance of the coming Savior (Lk1:31-32).

Hope When all is Contrary
Jesus, son of Abraham and son of David, born when the seed of Abraham was a 
despised people and tributary to the Roman yoke and when the house of David was buried in obscurity. The performance and provision of God comes when circumstances would place upon it the heaviest it has to offer. Ease and convenience are not the components of fulfillment. The Christmas story is a story of hope in the face of all that is contrary. “Against all odds, when it looked hopeless, Abraham believed the promise and expected God to fulfill it. He took God at his word…” (Rom.4:18a, TPT)
Supernatural Birth
The birth of Jesus, Savior of the world, was announced in terms supernatural. The 
pronouncement & the experiences of those involved in the broadcast cannot be explained in mere natural terms. Not only did angels appear to Jewish shepherds but a heavenly phenomenon caught the attention of learned Gentile observers and drew them to the City of David to worship One whom they would hail as King of the Jews. (Acts 4:12, Amp) ”And there is salvation in and through no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by and in which we must be saved.”
I was praying over a situation for which I have no answers and can do nothing about. As soon as I prayed I heard, “Now, let go of all of your ideas of how this thing needs to be worked out and let Me have it.” As we head into Christmas and a new year may we lay down every weight, worry, and preconceived idea of what the will of God should look like in our current situations, and leave it in the capable hands of the One Whose birth we are celebrating! Have a very Merry Christmas and may you find peace unspeakable in the decision to trust the One who already set us free. — Melissa Gabler
