As the people of God assemble today may they be so focused on being yoke-fellows with those where God has set them in the Body of Christ that voices from the past and voices of faulty reasoning cannot reach them and call them away from their post. “And I sent messengers to them, saying, I am doing a great work and cannot come down. “They” have come too late to tell Nehemiah the walls of Jerusalem cannot be rebuilt because there is too much opposition. “They” have come too late to tell him people won’t get back up on the wall with their families and live like there is a cause to fight for. “They” have come too late to tell Nehemiah that opposition and the delay of time mean he doesn’t have a God-given purpose that will be fulfilled. Let us (and our families) benefit by taking the uncompromising stand that Nehemiah took. ”So I sent messengers to them, saying, “I am doing a great work, so that I cannot come down. Why should the work cease while I leave it and go down to you?” (Neh.6:3, NKJV)
