Be Not Conformed to Present Circumstances

As the people of God assemble around the family table or the TV or the computer screen, may they give themselves fully to The Potter, the Master Molder and Shaper potterof vessels, knowing that The Potter is never without purpose and He knows just how to work the clay to form the vessel for the right time and the right place. May they be conformed to His purposeful shaping and not be conformed to the present circumstances of the world. ”…as the clay is in the potter’s hand, so are you in My hand” (Jer.18:6, Amp) “My own sheep will hear my voice and I know each one, and they will follow me. 28 I give to them the gift of eternal life and they will never be lost and no one has the power to snatch them out of my hands. 29 My Father, who has given them to me as his gift, is the mightiest of all, and no one has the power to snatch them from my Father’s care. 30 The Father and I are one.” (Jn.10:27-31, TPT)

Representing the Father

The glory of God through us, His creation, is not our putting forth effort to hit an ideal or to align with a creed or even getting to heaven. It’s accomplishing things that show His character, His Name in this earth in spite of the influence of culture. That which is in heaven comes to earth through an earthen vessel (Jer.18:4-6; Matt.6:10) and continually points back to its Source in heaven (Matt.5:16). That is why Jesus could say, “If you have seen me, you have seen the Father” because He never misrepresented the Father, no matter how hard people (and the devil) tried to get Him to adjust to their expectations.
