Forms Of Opposition

ChessOpposedThis passage of scripture (“But when the Philistines heard that they had anointed David king over Israel, all the Philistines came up to seek David; and David heard of it, and went down to the hold.” —2Sam 5:17) gives us the general idea that we, like David, are being opposed as we move forward with God and embrace the changes He is taking us through. In this article I want to show you four forms this opposition will take: 1) Giants represent the difficulties of change. 2) Athaliah represents that which attempts to prevent change. 3) Michal represents those who resent change. 4) Sanballat represents change being misrepresented.
(This is the third excerpt from Marty’s article “Giants, Athaliah and Michal“ which was published in SEEC Magazine [Marty and Kathy’s ministry magazine]. More excerpts will be posted Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Previous excerpts may be read by scrolling down this page.)
