The Prophetic Church

A prophetic church does not run for a safe bunker and begin praying for escape from the planet every time another threat comes from some despot in the Middle East. That church does not tremble and fret because its favorite political party is not in the White House. It is not a church reciting prayers while on the run. It is an offensive army on the march; taking territory from the “ites” (cf.Deut.7:1-6) and pulling down strongholds.  The prophetic church does warfare by revelation. A people who seeks their God for a battle plan will win the war (cf.2Sam.5: 22-25; Dan.11:32; Joel2:11).” A wise man attacks the city of the mighty and pulls down the strong-hold in which they trust” (Prov. 21:22). In this time of history we don’t physically attack cities or people but we bring prayer and declarations against the strongholds of evil institutions (2Cor.10:3-5).

Great is Thy Faithfulness

As the people of God assemble today around their family computers and in church GoodShepherdparking lots, may they reflect on and stand on the faithfulness of their Father God who “changest not” and His “compassions they fail not”, as He has forever been faithful to His people and consistent with His Word, so shall He in these days and days to come. “Know therefore that the Lord your God is God, the faithful God who keeps covenant and steadfast love with those who love him and keep his commandments, to a thousand generations,” (Deut.7:9, ESV)

Reserved For This Time

The hour is coming when the glory and power of God is going to be demonstrated in a company of people. “There will be a trickle, then it will begin to grow and then there will be a tipping point.”(1S.G.) God is a mighty God. “You shall not dread them, for the Lord your God is among you, a mighty and terrible God.” (Deut.7:21, Amp) The word “mighty” is associated with dominion. This new era is about believers reconnecting with the right to rule. “Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.” (Eph.6:10) The spirit of might is going to become part and parcel of our weaponry and tactics. The church will have strength to overcome any enemy. “Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over ALL the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.” (Lk.10:19) This power and might and strength have been held by God for the church when there would be a tipping point at which He could release it in great measure. We have only seen a trickling of it to this point. When we realize that we are in an era that the church has never operated in before, we can avail ourselves and position ourselves for the Holy Spirit to come upon us in power that has been reserved for this time in history.
