Approaching the Halfway Mark

MARTY–We are approaching the halfway mark of 2024 after many of us committed ourselves to a course with more effective focus for a new year. Some are finding that starting on course is a great deal easier than staying the course. The admirable intentions we begin with may fall prey to the wily snares of unexpected interruptions, discouragement, self-pity and life obligations. Starting on course and staying the course may prove to be very costly. But the loss of that which would never be gained is inestimable.   Phil.3:13,TPT—I don’t depend on my own strength to accomplish this;  however I do have one compelling focus: I forget all of the past as I fasten my heart to the future instead. 14 I run straight for the divine invitation of reaching the heavenly goal and gaining the victory-prize through the anointing of Jesus.

That Committed to Him

As the people of God assemble today may they know to Whom they belong and to prayer_look upWhom they have committed all their yesterdays and all their tomorrows to. May they speak of Yahweh and His assurances to one another and may they worship Him in spirit and in truth. “…I know (perceive, have knowledge of, and am acquainted with) Him Whom I have believed (adhered to and trusted in and relied on), and I am [positively] persuaded that He is able to guard and keep that which has been entrusted to me and which I have committed [to Him] until that day.” (2Tim.1:12, Amp)

Remain Solidly Committed

DevotionToGodAs the people of God assemble today, may they recall the blessings of God and the rich, life-giving Word of God and be encouraged and strengthened to remain solidly committed to Him.
“When he arrived there, he was pleased to see what God had done for them out of kindness. So he encouraged all the people to remain solidly committed to the Lord.” (Acts 11:23, GW)
