MICHAL (Beware resentment)—In 2Samuel 6 Michal represents resentment toward change. She doesn’t leave; she stays around but everyone knows that she resents the changes that have taken place. Michal makes her resentment known to leadership and does what she can, through attitudes, to make them regret change. The tragedy is, however, that she is never able to add to what is going on – her resentment has left her unable to bear anything with life in it. She is impotent (2Sam.6:23).

Sometimes we figure out in hind sight that a dream was from God, but it is still a valuable insight for future reference. If a dream is from God, it is a God-to-Man communication, revelation, realization or confirmation coming down to us. If a dream is a self-to-self communication it is coming up from our heart or core to get information and conditions up into our mind-awareness. As the people of God assemble on Pentecost Sunday, may they hear afresh their Lord as He charges His followers: “He commanded them not to leave Jerusalem, but to wait for what the Father had promised,” (Acts 1:4) “And when He had said this, He breathed on them, and saith unto them, Receive ye the Holy Ghost” (John 20:22) and then Apostle Paul throws in: “And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit;” (Eph 5:18). The tense used in the original language actually reads: “BE YE BEING FILLED WITH THE SPIRIT”. In other words, there is to be an ongoing filling or a series of fillings.

Mighty Jehovah acts in a moment of time. People can be up against an insurmountable wall of opposition in one moment and in the next moment, the Lord God has acted upon people and circumstances to bring about a whole different outcome. The “perfect storm” can be formed and can be thrashing you about until you believe that there is no way to survive and there certainly is no way through. But, in a moment of time the Master can speak to the storm and, because the wind and storm know His name, you are surrounded by calm and then there is the shore. ”Who has heard of such a thing? Who has seen such things? Shall a land be born in one day? Or shall a nation be brought forth in a moment? (Kathy Gabler) — Although the Holy Spirit sometimes gives a word of wisdom which reveals a dream’s message, meaning and purpose all at once, it is just as fulfilling to get to the message, meaning and purpose through the process of prayerfully searching them out. We can sit at the Lord’s feet and lean against His knee and ponder the pieces of a dream. Sometimes we don’t even have to completely dismantle the dream to get the gist of it, but it if it does require more effort, then we research the Bible and reference books and friends until the concepts connect and open our understanding. The Lord DOES give His angels charge to guard us. If it had not been for that very wonderful means of Jehovah’s intervention, I would have fallen off our second story porch headfirst yesterday on to our cement driveway when a banister broke loose that I had all my weight on! BUT I was kept from falling! The name of the Lord be praised! ”He ordered his angels to guard you wherever you go. Perhaps you have experienced how the Holy Spirit sometimes gives you a word of wisdom which reveals a dream’s message, meaning and purpose all at once. It is like a light suddenly coming on or subtitles coming across the scenes. I love it when God does that, as was the case recently. On a three-way call with intercessors, a lady told her dream about a friend who had just been notified he had an aggressive cancer. The dreamer was surprised because her friend didn’t even look sick. In fact he looked in the peak of health and fitness. As she told the dream, I heard, “It is not physical cancer. It is bitterness that is targeting him, but has not successfully overtaken him.” God revealed an assignment and a call to intercession through word of wisdom revealed by the Spirit. When considering a dream or vision, the goal is communication. Understanding the way you dream and the language that may be unique to your dreams, is equipping for life. This “understanding” is a major part of “having an ear to hear”. You may already understand most of your dreams and already know when they are from God or for a God-purpose, so your only challenge may be figuring out how to follow up or walk them out in real life. My mother made certain that I studied my Sunday School lesson on Saturday evenings. She saw to it that I made each choir practice and dressed in starched shirt and pants, and a jacket and tie on Sundays. She made sure that she communicated with the public school teachers and school officials so that I comported myself properly and she went over my report card with a fine-toothed comb wanting to know why certain grades were not up where she thought they should be. My mother doctored every fever, ache and ailment with the remedies her mother had taught her. As you can see from the partial list I just made, I most definitely was not neglected. Have you watched the news lately? There seem to be squabbles and disagreement at every level of government, between nations, races and economic strata. There must be a place where men and women, boys and girls can go and experience the opposite of the stress of such an atmosphere. May your home be a place of agreement, where squabbles and disagreement can’t find dwelling places. May it be the place of “where two or three are gathered in my Name” (Matt.18:20) becomes the place of “all things are possible” (Mk.9:23). (Ps.128:3, GNB) “Your wife will be like a fruitful vine in your home, and your children will be like young olive trees around your table.” We are praying you discover daily that your home is a place of productive agreement.

The Holy Spirit who anointed Jesus, now dwells in us and enables us to be God’s visible, tangible point of rule and authority on earth. It is all by the power of the Holy Spirit. We are not just kings and priests so we can have titles. We are so, by the power of the Holy Spirit for the redemptive works of our Lord in the lives of those who are held in the bondage of fear (Heb.2:15). The Holy Spirit is the One who has the mind of the Father and He will guide us in those aspects of being kingly and priestly so that we may be what the Father wants us to be in those aspects. “Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty [emancipation from bondage, true freedom].” 2Cor.3:17, Amp)

(Kathy) As I searched the scriptures, I found the Kingdom of God (or Kingdom of Heaven) could refer to three things: 1) The place where God dwells and reigns eternally, 2) God’s AUTHORITY & POWER ruling on earth, and 3) the company of people who have submitted their lives to God’s authority, both now and eternally. Jesus preached and emphasized the second aspect, God’s AUTHORITY and POWER ruling on earth. That is why He said to some as He healed them, “The Kingdom has come upon you.” The Kingdom of God is in evidence wherever God’s AUTHORITY and POWER are manifested on earth.

When the elders of Israel became aware that it was time to put Josia on the throne (God’s government was put in place), God gave them a plan. They stood Josia in the temple and placed a 
crown upon his head (2K 11:12). The people began to clap their hands and proclaim, “God save the king.” When Athaliah heard the celebration (Athaliah hates celebration which has not made her central), she ran into the temple and began to yell, “Treason!” No matter how deeply she stood in violation, she was convinced that change was treason on the part of others. Anything that was without her approval or anything that was in opposition to her plans was considered treason. The correct response to Athaliah was to accept God’s choice of government and to do it openly with all the proper leadership participating.

(Kathy GabIer) — I have prayed or read or quoted or sang the phrase, Thy Kingdom come, for years without really being aware of the magnitude of what I was saying. In my early understanding, “Thy Kingdom come” was a reference to heaven and eternity only. So it was like a salutation, a verbal salute, before beginning the actual prayer of “Thy will be done on earth as in heaven”. I’m fairly sure a good percentage of the Church prays the Lord’s Prayer with a similar paradigm which boils down to this: may heaven be ours someday and meanwhile, “Thy will be done in things concerning the earth”. However, there is a different understanding of the Kingdom of God in the light of Psa 145:13: “Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and Your rule endures throughout all generations.” Rather than a place and a future existence, the Kingdom is the rule of God, His power, His authority and His government and order in effect already, in fact, for all generations.

MICHAL (Beware resentment)—In 2Samuel 6 Michal represents resentment toward change. She doesn’t leave; she stays around but everyone knows that she resents the changes that have taken place. Michal makes her resentment known to leadership and does what she can, through attitudes, to make them regret change. The tragedy is, however, that she is never able to add to what is going on – her resentment has left her unable to bear anything with life in it. She is impotent (2Sam.6:23).
(Kathy Gabler) — When considering a dream, knowing whether a dream is from God or not may help bring clarity. Sometimes we figure out in hind sight that a dream was from God, but it is still a valuable insight for future reference. If a dream is from God, it is a God-to-Man communication, revelation, realization or confirmation coming down to us. If a dream is a self-to-self communication it is coming up from our heart or core to get information and conditions up into our mind-awareness. As the people of God assemble on Pentecost Sunday, may they hear afresh their Lord as He charges His followers: “He commanded them not to leave Jerusalem, but to wait for what the Father had promised,” (Acts 1:4) “And when He had said this, He breathed on them, and saith unto them, Receive ye the Holy Ghost” (John 20:22) and then Apostle Paul throws in: “And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit;” (Eph 5:18). The tense used in the original language actually reads: “BE YE BEING FILLED WITH THE SPIRIT”. In other words, there is to be an ongoing filling or a series of fillings.
Mighty Jehovah acts in a moment of time. People can be up against an insurmountable wall of opposition in one moment and in the next moment, the Lord God has acted upon people and circumstances to bring about a whole different outcome. The “perfect storm” can be formed and can be thrashing you about until you believe that there is no way to survive and there certainly is no way through. But, in a moment of time the Master can speak to the storm and, because the wind and storm know His name, you are surrounded by calm and then there is the shore. ”Who has heard of such a thing? Who has seen such things? Shall a land be born in one day? Or shall a nation be brought forth in a moment? (Kathy Gabler) — Although the Holy Spirit sometimes gives a word of wisdom which reveals a dream’s message, meaning and purpose all at once, it is just as fulfilling to get to the message, meaning and purpose through the process of prayerfully searching them out. We can sit at the Lord’s feet and lean against His knee and ponder the pieces of a dream. Sometimes we don’t even have to completely dismantle the dream to get the gist of it, but it if it does require more effort, then we research the Bible and reference books and friends until the concepts connect and open our understanding. The Lord DOES give His angels charge to guard us. If it had not been for that very wonderful means of Jehovah’s intervention, I would have fallen off our second story porch headfirst yesterday on to our cement driveway when a banister broke loose that I had all my weight on! BUT I was kept from falling! The name of the Lord be praised! ”He ordered his angels to guard you wherever you go. Perhaps you have experienced how the Holy Spirit sometimes gives you a word of wisdom which reveals a dream’s message, meaning and purpose all at once. It is like a light suddenly coming on or subtitles coming across the scenes. I love it when God does that, as was the case recently. On a three-way call with intercessors, a lady told her dream about a friend who had just been notified he had an aggressive cancer. The dreamer was surprised because her friend didn’t even look sick. In fact he looked in the peak of health and fitness. As she told the dream, I heard, “It is not physical cancer. It is bitterness that is targeting him, but has not successfully overtaken him.” God revealed an assignment and a call to intercession through word of wisdom revealed by the Spirit. When considering a dream or vision, the goal is communication. Understanding the way you dream and the language that may be unique to your dreams, is equipping for life. This “understanding” is a major part of “having an ear to hear”. You may already understand most of your dreams and already know when they are from God or for a God-purpose, so your only challenge may be figuring out how to follow up or walk them out in real life. As the people of God assemble today, may they give and receive the touch of acceptance and assurance that they are part of the family of God, the household of faith. “Practice hospitality to one another (those of the household of faith). My mother made certain that I studied my Sunday School lesson on Saturday evenings. She saw to it that I made each choir practice and dressed in starched shirt and pants, and a jacket and tie on Sundays. She made sure that she communicated with the public school teachers and school officials so that I comported myself properly and she went over my report card with a fine-toothed comb wanting to know why certain grades were not up where she thought they should be. My mother doctored every fever, ache and ailment with the remedies her mother had taught her. As you can see from the partial list I just made, I most definitely was not neglected. Have you watched the news lately? There seem to be squabbles and disagreement at every level of government, between nations, races and economic strata. There must be a place where men and women, boys and girls can go and experience the opposite of the stress of such an atmosphere. May your home be a place of agreement, where squabbles and disagreement can’t find dwelling places. May it be the place of “where two or three are gathered in my Name” (Matt.18:20) becomes the place of “all things are possible” (Mk.9:23). (Ps.128:3, GNB) “Your wife will be like a fruitful vine in your home, and your children will be like young olive trees around your table.” We are praying you discover daily that your home is a place of productive agreement.
The Word of God is alive and active and cannot stop being alive and active. May the redemptive, productive Word you heard days ago or even years ago be alive and active in you today, producing fruit unto righteousness, life to the glory of our Lord’s name. ”God means what he says. “What A Day Can Hold”
The Holy Spirit who anointed Jesus, now dwells in us and enables us to be God’s visible, tangible point of rule and authority on earth. It is all by the power of the Holy Spirit. We are not just kings and priests so we can have titles. We are so, by the power of the Holy Spirit for the redemptive works of our Lord in the lives of those who are held in the bondage of fear (Heb.2:15). The Holy Spirit is the One who has the mind of the Father and He will guide us in those aspects of being kingly and priestly so that we may be what the Father wants us to be in those aspects. “Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty [emancipation from bondage, true freedom].” 2Cor.3:17, Amp)
May your home be the place of safety and acceptance you think of when you are out in the world and are mistreated and taken advantage of. May you return there safely and may it be your place of solace. “You will be sheltered,without fear of hurtful words or any other weapon. . . . Your home will be secure, and your sheep will be safe.” (Job 5:21, 24, CEV)
(Kathy) As I searched the scriptures, I found the Kingdom of God (or Kingdom of Heaven) could refer to three things: 1) The place where God dwells and reigns eternally, 2) God’s AUTHORITY & POWER ruling on earth, and 3) the company of people who have submitted their lives to God’s authority, both now and eternally. Jesus preached and emphasized the second aspect, God’s AUTHORITY and POWER ruling on earth. That is why He said to some as He healed them, “The Kingdom has come upon you.” The Kingdom of God is in evidence wherever God’s AUTHORITY and POWER are manifested on earth.

The people began to clap their hands and proclaim, “God save the king.” When Athaliah heard the celebration (Athaliah hates celebration which has not made her central), she ran into the temple and began to yell, “Treason!” No matter how deeply she stood in violation, she was convinced that change was treason on the part of others. Anything that was without her approval or anything that was in opposition to her plans was considered treason. The correct response to Athaliah was to accept God’s choice of government and to do it openly with all the proper leadership participating.
(Kathy GabIer) — I have prayed or read or quoted or sang the phrase, Thy Kingdom come, for years without really being aware of the magnitude of what I was saying. In my early understanding, “Thy Kingdom come” was a reference to heaven and eternity only. So it was like a salutation, a verbal salute, before beginning the actual prayer of “Thy will be done on earth as in heaven”. I’m fairly sure a good percentage of the Church prays the Lord’s Prayer with a similar paradigm which boils down to this: may heaven be ours someday and meanwhile, “Thy will be done in things concerning the earth”. However, there is a different understanding of the Kingdom of God in the light of Psa 145:13: “Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and Your rule endures throughout all generations.” Rather than a place and a future existence, the Kingdom is the rule of God, His power, His authority and His government and order in effect already, in fact, for all generations.
