Too Dangerous

DavidPhilistines

Some people in the Bible had similar experiences with attacks and opposition. When the tribes of Israel got together and anointed David king, the Philistines went searching for him to take him out of the picture. “But when the Philistines heard that they had anointed David king over Israel, all the Philistines came up to seek David; and David heard of it, and went down to the hold.” (2Sam 5:17). They realized that they had passed up a great opportunity to destroy David and now intended to correct their mistake. Now that the anointing had come upon David for his destiny, he was too dangerous. So, a concerted effort was mounted to remove him from any possible scenario which would bring Israel to the victorious state which God’s word had prophesied.

It Is The Growing Season

SeedlingComingUpOn the way to church Sunday morning I noticed many plants coming up out of the ground.  From just a seed, they had pushed their way through the resistant soil.  That seed could not be seen down in the ground but it was there developing and pushing and coming up.   As the seed began to sprout, the tiny plant began to push and push toward the light.  There is an unseen pathway that leads from the seed to the surface of the ground where the light has drawn it so that it might grow, mature and bring forth the plant, the tree, the fruit that the seed had in it all along; it just needed to push along that unseen path and extend into the light to be able to release what was in it all along.  We are going to see seeds come forth that were planted in our lives, the lives of family members, friends, neighbors, coworkers, former church members. A seed came into existence to grow, not just sit and do nothing.  It is the growing season—expect the seed to grow.
“But as for that [seed] in the good soil, these are [the people] who, hearing the Word, hold it fast in a just (noble, virtuous) and worthy heart, and steadily bring forth fruit with patience.” (Lk.8:15, Amp)

No Change Without Opposition

PushingOnWallHas anyone recently felt as though they are under attack? In the Kingdom of God there is no such thing as change without opposition. We are now in an unprecedented time of history when change is a frequent factor in the lives of those in the Kingdom of God. I have had people tell me that before they came to Christ their lives were not all that much of a struggle but since beginning to follow the Lord they have been in one spiritual battle after another. When we accept Jesus, we are inducted into the army of God. He puts a robe of righteousness on us and armor which become a conspicuous uniform identifying which army we belong to. When we receive a prophecy and begin to walk it out or when we begin to hunger for the things of God which we have never experienced, we become a nuisance to that which prefers to perpetuate the status quo. The enemy of the people of God knows that to let us go unhindered is to consent to defeat without a struggle. His most effective, time-proven weapons are intimidation and discouragement.

Harvest With New Strategies

HarvestField

As the people of God assemble today may they look
upon the fields that are white unto harvest.
May they look upon them with love and compassion
and with new and effective strategies.

”Arise, O God, judge the earth;  For You shall inherit all nations.” (Ps.82:8, NKJV)

Candidates To Participate

SeaSunEven before the resurrection, the sea water had its normal density and the body of Jesus had its proper density, yet Jesus walked on water (Matt.14:26). This LORD of the many-layered wisdom of God (Eph.3:10) is not bound by dimensions, nor by the poverty of human experience, nor by the laws of gravity or mass. Therefore, the advancing of His Kingdom and the sons of that Kingdom are candidates to participate in what their King has set up.
”Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this.” (Isa.9:7)

Lead Us Not Into Temptation

ShepherdLeadAnd lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil” (Matt.6:13. . . At first glance, this sounds like this is asking God not to tempt us when James 1:13, tells us that God tempts no man to evil.  So a son wouldn’t suspect his Father of doing that.   One of the meanings of temptation here is adversity.  Neither would sons ask Father to keep us from adversity, because a mature son knows better than to expect not having to grow in character through overcoming.   I think The Message may have captured the heart of this phrase:  Mat 6:13  Keep us safe from ourselves and the Devil.  One of the meanings of the Greek word translated here as “not” is “lest,” which means “for fear that.”   That would lend this phrase to say, “Father lead us and deliver us from evil for fear that we will fall to temptation if You don’t.”   And as a son with that understanding, my prayer would be in agreement, “May I live my life today showing that I am not under the dictates and influence of temptation because I am delivered from the evil one”.  I can pray that with confident expectation because Thine is the Kingdom, the power and the glory.   Therefore, we pray as sons, knowing our Father has, and always will have, the prevailing governmental order and the authoritative power and the ultimate manifestation of His every intent . . . forever.

Basic Good Sense

HandOutStop

May the Lord give us wisdom and basic good sense to not give out any personal information that we do not have to give out.  May we be able to make sound decisions and do without something, if necessary, to prevent releasing any information that would give a thief advantage.
“For skillful and godly Wisdom shall enter into your heart, and knowledge shall be pleasant to you. 11 Discretion shall watch over you, understanding shall keep you, 12 To deliver you from the way of evil and the evil men, from men who speak perverse things and are liars, 13 Men who forsake the paths of uprightness to walk in the ways of darkness, 14 Who rejoice to do evil and delight in the perverseness of evil, 15 Who are crooked in their ways, wayward and devious in their paths.” (Prov.2:10-15, Amp)

Investing In Our Future

ChainsBrokenForgiveness is an investment in your future. It is not about staying saved or deserving, it is about investing wisely.  And forgive us our debts AS we forgive our debtors is a declaration that we understand Father’s governing principle and we know our personal responsibility in living it out.  I have to think God was emphasizing a consistent and continuous release that forgiveness brings, a continual unfettering of others to unfetter ourselves from our issues, a continual coming to freedom and deliverance to live as God intended, free to be who we were born to be for our Father’s glory.
