Hearts, Hands and Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving1As the people of God assemble today, may they lift their voices, their hearts and hands and sing thanksgiving unto the Lord God for all His beneficent blessings toward us. For God is good and greatly to be praised.  “[ A Song of Praise ] Come, let us praise the Lord! Let us sing for joy to God, who protects us! Let us come before him with thanksgiving and sing joyful songs of praise.” (Ps.95:1-2, GNT)

Giving of Thanks

GiveThanks
It is a good thing to be reminded on one spacial day of the year that it is our
full time occupation every day (while going out, while being out and while
coming in) to give thanks to the LORD for goodness is not just an attribute,
it is what God is and He can be nothing else. Let there be giving of thanks
(in both speaking and singing) to Jahveh, who is most gracious.

“It is a good and delightful thing to give thanks to the Lord,
To sing praises to Your name, O Most High” (Ps.92:1, Amp)

Thanking God No Matter What

Thanksgiving1“Be cheerful no matter what; pray all the time; THANK GOD no matter what happens. This is the way God wants you who belong to Christ Jesus to live.” (1Thess.5:16-18, Msg)

The one who knows Jehovah God knows that, in spite of what circumstances or people have done, God Almighty still has a purpose of His own in that person’s life. This Great God is too wise to act irrationally and too compassionate to be cruel. We are in Christ Jesus and giving thanks from that position from which nothing nor anyone can remove us.

“I’m absolutely convinced that nothing—nothing living or dead, angelic or demonic, today or tomorrow, high or low, thinkable or unthinkable—absolutely nothing can get between us and God’s love because of the way that Jesus our Master has embraced us.” (Rom.8:38-39, Msg)

“…Thanksgiving is our dialect.” (Eph.5:4b, Msg)

Sing Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving God is good

As the people of God assemble today, may they lift their voices, their hearts and hands and sing thanksgiving unto the Lord God for all His beneficent blessings toward us. For God is good and greatly to be praised.

“[ A Song of Praise ] Come, let us praise the Lord! Let us sing for joy to God, who protects us! Let us come before him with thanksgiving and sing joyful songs of praise.” (Ps.95:1-2, GNT).

Why not a LIFESTYLE of THANKSGIVING?

Why not a LIFESTYLE of THANKSGIVING? This Thanksgiving, may our hearts and minds be so turned to awareness of our Lord and to the giving of thanks to our Lord, that if He were to send in among us “angels unawares” (Heb.13:2), they would witness people who know the righteous God that they know, in the way that they know Him and Pilgrim Thanksgivinghonor Him. May such messenger/observers witness our living out our thanks rather than vocalizing it occasionally.

4 neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor coarse jesting, which are not fitting, BUT RATHER GIVING OF THANKS…
6 Let no one deceive you with empty words…
8 For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord…
10 finding out what is acceptable to the Lord.
11 And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness…
15 See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise, 16 redeeming the time, because the days are evil.
17 Therefore do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is.
18 And do not be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation; but be filled with the Spirit,
19 speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord,
20 GIVING THANKS ALWAYS for all things to God the Father in the name of our LORD JESUS CHRIST… (EPH.5:4-20, NKJV)

Time For Harvest

I declare that it is time for harvest in our lives, our churches and in our nation. It is time for harvest of that which has been long awaited–the victories that our Lord has been cultivating in us during times of trial, harvestpressing onward and endurance. We have not faced what we have faced and wrestled with what we have wrestled with and stood through testing for nothing. God has plowed and planted His Word into our lives. He has used people, circumstances and time to work His character into our lives. It will all yield its harvest in this age before the coming of our Lord. All the afore mentioned factors have been growing and maturing in us for a harvest that brings glory to Jehovah in this earth.
