Moody Moons and Doubty Dates

Mistymoon
While there are people in every generation who have illusions and fears about moons, celebrations and calendar dates, let us all fear GOD and walk before Him uprightly through all the comings and goings of signs and dates and books and CDs. In spite of illusions, may the people of God live fruitfully and effectively while perfect love is casting out the fear created by those illusions (1Jn.4:18). “But against all illusion and fantasy and empty talk There’s always this rock foundation: Fear God!” (Eccl.5:7, Msg)

Regardless the Moon

Listening to some Christians talk at church, in the marketplace and in social media, at the end of the day, it sounds like they have decided they Redmoon“want off the program”. Their terminology accompanied by accents of fear leaves the impression that they have completely forgotten the mandate of our LORD, “Go ye into all the world” (i.e., all seven mountains of influence in culture to establish the government and culture of Jehovah) and have opted for “get off the program—get off the planet”. One thing western Christianity must continually contend with is the desire to get off the planet every time our comfort zones appear to be threatened. A couple of Walmart closures had some Christians so upset that they believed most of what misguided and mischievous people on the internet were attempting to perpetrate about the closures and were ready to go to heaven. While they were ready to go to heaven, creation continued to groan for manifestation of the sons of God (Rom.8:19, 22) rather than the departure of God’s sons for some place more comfortable. Since when is fear, of any kind, to be the rule upon which the decision to opt in or opt out of Christ’s mandate tolerable? Somehow, it is very difficult to imagine Apostle Paul having a nervous breakdown over a colorful moon or the inability to purchase kosher food right in one’s own neighborhood. Until the mandate of The Lord is fulfilled (Ps.110:1), there is no option offered to “get off this program”, regardless the moon. There is no scripture that says, “Be ye slackers and fearful so things can get worse quicker so the coming of the Lord can happen sooner.” (Compare: Gen.15:1; Deut.20:3;31:6; Josh.1:7; 2Chron.32:7; Lk.12:7; 12:32; Rev.1:17) Jesus said, “Go ye” (Matt.28:19) and He never said, “Come back”.
