Don’t Question Your Family Bond
(Kathy G.) Another key we can take from Jesus’ wilderness example will equip us: >> Don’t allow your identity to come into question during the process. You don’t question your family bond, and if anyone else does, don’t answer them. Stand confident that your Father will not de-son nor de-daughter you, and you must be on guard against allowing a rebellious or orphan spirit to de-Father you.

Led out of the Wilderness
(Kathy G.) I believe the reason Jesus was led into the wilderness was because He was the prototype for wilderness training. He went there as a son and left there as a son, and there’s no indication it took a long time in between! Some keys we can take from His wilderness example will equip us: 1) It is difficult to be led by one thing while dominated by another. So when you are in wilderness circumstances, don’t allow an orphan spirit or rebellious spirit to dominate your thinking. Father will always see to it that sons “are led by the Spirit” out of wildernesses to fulfillment and glory, but orphans and rebels are not thinking like sons and do not know how to be led of His Spirit.
(This is the sixth excerpt from Kathy Gabler’s article “Bringing Sons to Glory“. More excerpts will be posted Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
