Loosed From the Guilt of the Past

MARTY GABLER–As the people of God assemble today may they know that His Word looses them from the guilt of the past and propels them forward into the plans He will walk them through to fulfillment. Rom.8:1, Amp — “Therefore there is now no condemnation [no guilty verdict, no punishment] for those who are in Christ Jesus [who believe in Him as personal Lord and Savior]. 2Cor.5:17, Amp — “Therefore if anyone is in Christ [that is, grafted in, joined to Him by faith in Him as Savior], he is a new creature [reborn and renewed by the Holy Spirit]; the old things [the previous moral and spiritual condition] have passed away. Behold, new things have come [because spiritual awakening brings a new life].”

End Old Year Well

Marty Gabler—As the people of God assemble today, may they realize the value of ending the old year well that they may begin the new one well. May they turn from the uncompleted tasks and the failures of the past year that is behind them; turn from those things that seem to be accusing them and threatening them of repetition in the future. May they, in concerted determination, turn and face and bless and praise Jahweh who is the wise Securer of the future of His people, and move forward with faith in Him alone.   “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.” (Jer.29:11, NKJV)
