The Gift in the Christmas Event

MARTY GABLER—As the people of God assemble today, may they greet one another with glad tidings and great joy for the gift of the Father in the Christmas event. For His Great Gift is the birth of a Savior Who is Christ the LORD. May we then go into the coming week with good news of great joy that far outshines the bad news and worries of those we meet.   “Then the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people. 11 For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.” (Lk.2:10-11, NKJV)

A Heavenly Phenomenon

The birth of Jesus, Savior of the world, was announced in terms supernatural. The pronouncement & the experiences of those involved in the broadcast cannot be explained in mere natural terms. Not only did angels appear to Jewish shepherds but a heavenly phenomenon caught the attention of learned Gentile observers and drew them to the City of David to worship One whom they would hail as King of the Jews. (Acts 4:12, Amp) ”And there is salvation in and through no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by and in which we must be saved.”
