There is a shifting going on and opportunities for many but we must hold on to the rail and continue to make progress. Recently (as I was praying over some persons we are ministering to) I saw a person walking down a passageway of a large ship. The ship appeared to be rolling as 
a result of rough seas. The person was trying, as best as they could, to maintain their balance. Then, they noticed the handrail on the wall. It was like, “Oh, yes, I could hold on to that!”. So they gripped the rail and took another step and shifted their grip forward and took another step. Even though the seas may roll and make progress tedious, God’s Word and His faithfulness are the rail we can grip and continue to move forward with. “You are to follow only God, your God, hold him in deep reverence, keep his commandments, listen obediently to what he says, serve him—hold on to him for dear life!” (Deut.13:4, Msg)

from the beginning and from ancient times things which have not been done, saying, ‘My purpose will be established, and I will accomplish all My good pleasure’; (Isa 46:9-10, NAS) Jehovah God speaks the end, or completion of a thing, while standing at the beginning. failed relationships, from (3) failed attempts to reach goals, and from (4) ground we once held but the enemy stole. I know that the Bible says that we are a nation of kings and priests but I believe that, from consideration of the assurances in holy Scripture, 
we could also accurately say that we are an Anticipation Nation. We can anticipate (1) seeing the direction of the Lord for our lives and our nation; (2) seeing things that are tending toward harm and/or interference (in our families, churches, jobs and nation) so they might be averted; (3) seeing blessings and advantages that are available to us through the promises and purposes of God Almighty; and (4) seeing strategy and how to pray for people we are concerned for. What are each of us anticipating seeing in coming days? Though we have often heard it said, it couldn’t help but do us good to say it again, “I anticipate the inevitable, supernatural intervention of God”. If faith comes by hearing, we should stoke the belly of that powerful believing steam engine with Scripture and upward looking quotations of victorious anticipation. “The Lord said to Moses, Has the Lord’s hand (His ability and power) become short (thwarted and inadequate)? You shall see now whether My 
word shall come to pass for you or not.” (Num.11:23, Amp) There is a lot unseen that is yet to be seen and it shall be seen that the Lord’s hand is not short that it cannot save nor is His ear deaf that it cannot hear. Some of the wonderful mysteries that await us in coming days shall be the wonder of seeing how our LORD shall fulfill His Word, i.e., seeing who and what He will employ to bring about that which only He can accomplish. What an apropos time for us to pray Elisha’s prayer for ourselves: 2Ki 6:16 “[Elisha] answered, Fear not; for those with us are more than those with them. 17 Then Elisha prayed, Lord, I pray You, open his eyes that he may see. And the Lord opened the young man’s eyes, and he saw, and behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha.” (Amp) (The first excerpt from Marty’s article “Anticipation Nation”)

We were created to move forward and because of Him Who has called us and enabled us, we should be filled with anticipation for what we are 
journeying into in this coming year. “And they commanded the people, saying, When ye see the ark of the covenant of the LORD your God, and the priests the Levites bearing it, then ye shall remove from your place, and go after it.” (Jos.3:5) “Remove from your place” actually means “to pull up tent pegs”. God is not the only One doing any activity. The prophet Micah doesn’t seem to be waiting for some outside stimulant to condition him. He takes what he already knows of his God and decides what his mindset and actions shall be. Mic.7:7 “But as for me, I will watch expectantly for the LORD; I will wait for the God of my salvation: My God will hear me.” He is God and will never cease being everything He has always been. “I anticipate the inevitable, supernatural, intervention of God!” (This is the last excerpt from Marty’s article “Anticipation”.)

As the people of God assemble today, may they thoughtfully consider the infallible Word of God read in their hearing. A couple was sitting at their kitchen table going over their finances and planning the family vacation which was yet three months away. Their 
little 5 year old boy had been in the den playing and watching TV during the planning session. It was getting late so he decided to go to his room. As he passed the kitchen the only words he heard were, “OK, so we are going to Disney World”. The little boy’s heart leapt with excitement and he quickly ran to his room. Sometime later, the parents finalized their three-month plan while finishing off their coffee. As they headed for bed they looked in on their son to make sure he was asleep. When they looked into the room they saw the little 5 year old lying over on his over-stuffed travel bag sound asleep. He was wearing his swim mask, his Mickey Mouse shirt, one white shoe and one red shoe. His anticipation warranted that he be prepared to travel when it was time to load the car. A Child’s Anticipation. The passage of Mk.10:15 is not talking about getting to heaven. It is talking about the authority, power, rule of God. 
Mk.10:15 “…Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child, he shall not enter therein.” “As a child” paints the picture of a child who is always full of anticipation. Embracing that picture, we will not try bringing to God our agendas, preconceived ideas, preferences, and hearts/minds with no imagination available to God. Out of the four million Israelites trapped against the Red Sea, how many do you think used their imagination to encourage the others that God would use the rod of Moses to part the sea so they could cross over on dry ground? They were stuck in the mindset of powerless servants who would not allow their minds to go beyond the typical thought processes of a subjugated people. I for one am thankful that a merciful God sent the prophet Moses with a word for them that would help them move beyond those old mental habits.(This is the eighth excerpt from Marty’s article “Anticipation”.)

We may very well need to separate ourselves in anticipation of what we do not see in this moment so that we might see it in the next. We will need to separate ourselves from what we have not seen in the past year. In order to see what we need to see in the next moment (or the next year) we must separate ourselves from the distractions, interferences and disqualifiers of the present. Joshua’s instruction for the people to “separate themselves apart from” could include separating from such practical and mundane things as (1.) cynicism (2.) unbelief (3.) opinions of others (4.) from past disappointments (5.) from past events that never culminated in the desired outcome and (6.) from people who never followed through with influence or promises. Joshua’s words that seem to really stand out in 3:5 are, “Consecrate yourselves for tomorrow.” Anticipation is not an emotion but a matter of wise adjustments and preparation. With God, what you do not see in this moment is entirely possible in the next moment. We can allow our anticipation to be fueled by various and sundry reports or we can separate ourselves from superficial and culturally accepted norms. Josh.3:5 “Then Joshua said to the people, “Consecrate yourselves, FOR tomorrow the LORD will do wonders among you.” We could, just as well, use here the word “sanctify”. It basically means “to set apart from”. That “setting apart from” is for a purpose, not simply being set over to the side as attempting to not be identified with something. It is not unusual to hear something like, “But the guy who works at my office said ‘such and such’.” “But I read an article on the internet and it 
said ‘this and that’!” I have observed people making decisions and acting on something reported by a casual acquaintance or even a stranger. How often do we stop and measure the person speaking, much less the source and agenda of their argument? Why would we, in the moment, take their report as though they were expert on the subject (especially a total stranger on the internet) or that they are reporting it absolutely accurately? When we do not properly weigh information, no matter how zealously reported, we may likely end up with its consequences. Once we take a sober assessment of our personal history, many of us will probably find that we have been the recipient of those things we have anticipated that came out of an off-hand statement someone made.

Each of us already has a pretty full plate of anticipation about coming days and events. We are built to anticipate. If we are honest, I believe we will admit that we are continually anticipating what is ahead whether we are anticipating good or bad, productive or nonproductive, desired or undesirable. Right in the middle of it all it would be quite helpful to us if we considered that it is quite difficult to anticipate the provision or intervention of God if we are not looking to God and His Word. Ps.145:15 (NKJV) “The eyes of all look expectantly to You, And You give them their food in due season.” (NET) “Everything looks to you in ANTICIPATION, and you provide them with food on a regular basis.” (This is the first excerpt from Marty’s article “Anticipation”.)

Do you need your life to shift in the next few weeks? It is possible to shift. Just what can we shift? It is possible to shift our anticipation from negative to positive. Our family or cultural background may have us anticipating something that is not at all going to happen. How many people have misinterpreted a bump in the night? The character of God, the Word of God and His Kingdom purposes are our anticipation. Our risen Lord and His original intent for our lives and this nation are our anticipation. Whatever God did once in the Bible, He can do again in our lifetime. (Ps.145:15, NET) “Everything looks to You in anticipation”. We are praying you discover daily that you are shifting and readying yourself for a God-turn in your life.

As the people of God assemble today, may they “anticipate the inevitable, supernatural intervention of God”. May we forsake familial and cultural anticipation that is focused on temporal and carnal expectations and human experience. May the people of God stand firmly in the assurance that what Almighty God did in the Bible, He can most certainly do again in our lifetime.

The Passover was also important to Jesus because a divine shift was coming to the disciples in their relationship with the Father. In John 15: 15, Jesus told His disciples, “No longer do I call you servants, for a servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all things that I heard from My Father I have made known to you”. The terminology identified a relational shift from that of servant-master to one of son-father. Up to the night of the Passover, the relationship of the disciples to Jesus had been strictly business. However, after the Passover meal, that changed! In the new covenant, the disciples were no longer held by the Father as servants, but sons! That night was a divine appointment that had been in the making before the beginning of time

Before the fall, man was God-conscious and obedient to God. After the fall, man was 
self-conscious and running his own life. Receiving Christ and His government means I no longer run my own life. Apostolic doctrine lays a foundation of Christ in your life (Gal 1:4, “according to the will of our God and Father”), until you are not the focus of your life and you are free of the generation’s perverted and twisted thinking and pressure of being self-conscious. Galatians 1:4 does not say He forgave my sins so I would go to heaven when I die. It is part of the package to have a greater experience with Jesus when we die, but the Gospel of the Kingdom is that our lives have been part of a twisted, perverted, crooked thinking generation and the gospel confronts those mindsets to deliver us out of them. happen to think of them, may they not take any toll on your sense of worth or readiness to obey your Lord. a result of rough seas. The person was trying, as best as they could, to maintain their balance. Then, they noticed the handrail on the wall. It was like, “Oh, yes, I could hold on to that!”. So they gripped the rail and took another step and shifted their grip forward and took another step. Even though the seas may roll and make progress tedious, God’s Word and His faithfulness are the rail we can grip and continue to move forward with. “You are to follow only God, your God, hold him in deep reverence, keep his commandments, listen obediently to what he says, serve him—hold on to him for dear life!” (Deut.13:4, Msg)
from the beginning and from ancient times things which have not been done, saying, ‘My purpose will be established, and I will accomplish all My good pleasure’; (Isa 46:9-10, NAS) Jehovah God speaks the end, or completion of a thing, while standing at the beginning. After speaking the end, Almighty God must begin looking for some folks who will stay the course so that that particular end may be realized. we could also accurately say that we are an Anticipation Nation. We can anticipate (1) seeing the direction of the Lord for our lives and our nation; (2) seeing things that are tending toward harm and/or interference (in our families, churches, jobs and nation) so they might be averted; (3) seeing blessings and advantages that are available to us through the promises and purposes of God Almighty; and (4) seeing strategy and how to pray for people we are concerned for. What are each of us anticipating seeing in coming days? Though we have often heard it said, it couldn’t help but do us good to say it again, “I anticipate the inevitable, supernatural intervention of God”. If faith comes by hearing, we should stoke the belly of that powerful believing steam engine with Scripture and upward looking quotations of victorious anticipation. journeying into in this coming year. “And they commanded the people, saying, When ye see the ark of the covenant of the LORD your God, and the priests the Levites bearing it, then ye shall remove from your place, and go after it.” (Jos.3:5) “Remove from your place” actually means “to pull up tent pegs”. God is not the only One doing any activity. The prophet Micah doesn’t seem to be waiting for some outside stimulant to condition him. He takes what he already knows of his God and decides what his mindset and actions shall be. Mic.7:7 “But as for me, I will watch expectantly for the LORD; I will wait for the God of my salvation: My God will hear me.” He is God and will never cease being everything He has always been. “I anticipate the inevitable, supernatural, intervention of God!” (This is the last excerpt from Marty’s article “Anticipation”.)
As the people of God assemble today, may they thoughtfully consider the infallible Word of God read in their hearing. May they stand upon each and every one of its promises and look with anticipation to the days ahead so they might see that their God has gone before them to show them the way. ”The Lord said to Moses, ‘Is the Lord’s hand (ability, power) limited (short, inadequate)? You shall see now whether My word will come to pass for you or not.’” (Num.11:23, Amp)
Mk.10:15 “…Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child, he shall not enter therein.” “As a child” paints the picture of a child who is always full of anticipation. Embracing that picture, we will not try bringing to God our agendas, preconceived ideas, preferences, and hearts/minds with no imagination available to God. Out of the four million Israelites trapped against the Red Sea, how many do you think used their imagination to encourage the others that God would use the rod of Moses to part the sea so they could cross over on dry ground? They were stuck in the mindset of powerless servants who would not allow their minds to go beyond the typical thought processes of a subjugated people. I for one am thankful that a merciful God sent the prophet Moses with a word for them that would help them move beyond those old mental habits.(This is the eighth excerpt from Marty’s article “Anticipation”.)
We may very well need to separate ourselves in anticipation of what we do not see in this moment so that we might see it in the next. We will need to separate ourselves from what we have not seen in the past year. In order to see what we need to see in the next moment (or the next year) we must separate ourselves from the distractions, interferences and disqualifiers of the present. Joshua’s instruction for the people to “separate themselves apart from” could include separating from such practical and mundane things as (1.) cynicism (2.) unbelief (3.) opinions of others (4.) from past disappointments (5.) from past events that never culminated in the desired outcome and (6.) from people who never followed through with influence or promises. Joshua’s words that seem to really stand out in 3:5 are, “Consecrate yourselves for tomorrow.” Anticipation is not an emotion but a matter of wise adjustments and preparation. With God, what you do not see in this moment is entirely possible in the next moment. We can allow our anticipation to be fueled by various and sundry reports or we can separate ourselves from superficial and culturally accepted norms. Josh.3:5 “Then Joshua said to the people, “Consecrate yourselves, FOR tomorrow the LORD will do wonders among you.” We could, just as well, use here the word “sanctify”. It basically means “to set apart from”. That “setting apart from” is for a purpose, not simply being set over to the side as attempting to not be identified with something. (This is the fifth excerpt from Marty’s article “Anticipation”.)
said ‘this and that’!” I have observed people making decisions and acting on something reported by a casual acquaintance or even a stranger. How often do we stop and measure the person speaking, much less the source and agenda of their argument? Why would we, in the moment, take their report as though they were expert on the subject (especially a total stranger on the internet) or that they are reporting it absolutely accurately? When we do not properly weigh information, no matter how zealously reported, we may likely end up with its consequences. Once we take a sober assessment of our personal history, many of us will probably find that we have been the recipient of those things we have anticipated that came out of an off-hand statement someone made.
Each of us already has a pretty full plate of anticipation about coming days and events. We are built to anticipate. If we are honest, I believe we will admit that we are continually anticipating what is ahead whether we are anticipating good or bad, productive or nonproductive, desired or undesirable. Right in the middle of it all it would be quite helpful to us if we considered that it is quite difficult to anticipate the provision or intervention of God if we are not looking to God and His Word. Ps.145:15 (NKJV) “The eyes of all look expectantly to You, And You give them their food in due season.” (NET) “Everything looks to you in ANTICIPATION, and you provide them with food on a regular basis.” (This is the first excerpt from Marty’s article “Anticipation”.)
As the people of God assemble today, may they “anticipate the inevitable, supernatural intervention of God”. May we forsake familial and cultural anticipation that is focused on temporal and carnal expectations and human experience. May the people of God stand firmly in the assurance that what Almighty God did in the Bible, He can most certainly do again in our lifetime.
The Passover was also important to Jesus because a divine shift was coming to the disciples in their relationship with the Father. In John 15: 15, Jesus told His disciples, “No longer do I call you servants, for a servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all things that I heard from My Father I have made known to you”. The terminology identified a relational shift from that of servant-master to one of son-father. Up to the night of the Passover, the relationship of the disciples to Jesus had been strictly business. However, after the Passover meal, that changed! In the new covenant, the disciples were no longer held by the Father as servants, but sons! That night was a divine appointment that had been in the making before the beginning of time
