Inheritance is Waiting

A long time ago, there was a position in the kingdom waiting for the king’s son to be born into. When royal advisors heard that the queen was KingWithSonexpecting, they did not run around in a frenzy trying to come up with something for the anticipated new royal family member to do. The king had inheritance and positions for all the sons his queen could give him. The king was concerned about the business of his kingdom and he wanted only his sons ruling with him in that kingdom to assure that his desires would be instituted in generations to come. In the Kingdom of God there is inheritance and position waiting for the sons of the King to step into, embrace and function in.

Your Worth to God

(Kathy) Jesus’ death, burial, resurrection and ascension were for our salvation.  That salvation includes the power to overcome any obstacle to your life and purpose.  The fact that Jesus came to die for you proves that you have value.  That’s your trump, that’s undeniable proof that you have value!  Now let’s figure out how to get our emotions to agree with that truth so that we don’t bottom-out if someone treats us as if we don’t have worth. It is a lie to believe someone else’s problem can make you worthless.  Matthew 10:30 “the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not therefore, you are of more value than many sparrows.” We are praying you discover daily your worth to your God.

A Rich Inheritance

passing the batonIn Galatians the word “adopted” does refer to the privilege of being adopted by a father into his family and becoming a family member, but it also refers to the inheritance we have been adopted to receive. Eph.1:18 and Col.1:12 both speak of the richness of the inheritance we have been given by our Father. Our beneficent heavenly Father has a rich inheritance for His sons. He wants all His sons to receive the rich inheritance He has adopted them to function in.

Changelessness Dissipates

FogDissipatingAs the people of God assemble today may all impression and/or delusion of sameness and changelessness dissipate like a mist in the face of the truths and reality of the Word of God—that Word which changes not but changes people and circumstances.
“I want a walk in the country, I want a cabin in the woods.  I’m desperate for a change from rage and stormy weather.” (Ps.55:8, Msg)

Cast Your Care on Him

BurdenBearingCounsel For Living #6— When looking at a Source beyond ourselves, anxiety has a sneaky way of implying distrust and implying that we might do better for ourselves out of our own efforts. But Peter counsels us to cast all our concerns on all-powerful and wise God. As the original language suggests, may we take even the cause of the concern to the Lord and leave it there. The very words of Jesus show us in Jn.10:14 that HE is the Good Shepherd Who stands in defense of the flock and that He is nothing like the abandoning shepherd of v.13. May we give ourselves to Him unreservedly trusting His watchful care.
“Casting the whole of your care [all your anxieties, all your worries, all your concerns, once and for all] on Him, for He cares for you affectionately and cares about you watchfully.” (1Pe.5:7, Amp)

Full Rights as Sons

FatherArmAroundSon1In the Bible, families are where rights, privileges and inheritances are distributed. The first-born son receives the double portion and inherits his father’s authority. Scripture shows us that Jesus is the “first born among many brethren”. (Rom.8:29) In God the Father’s family, all the sons have the inheritance of eldest sons. Gal.4:5— “so that He might redeem and liberate those who were under the Law, that we [who believe] might be adopted as sons [as God’s children with all rights as fully grown members of a family]. (Amp—Bible Gateway)  In the New English Translation it says, “so that we may be adopted as sons with full rights.”

Accomplished With the Help of our God

With the frequency of national and international crises threatening life and liberty, we need the intervention of Almighty God. May Jehovah God help Flaghandsprayhis people in such a way it cannot be denied that it was His hand that intervened and delivered them. May He act in behalf of the righteous and further His work in this nation so that the enemies of this nation recognize His acts and lose confidence in their devices. May Nehemiah’s testimony be ours: (Neh.6:16, Amp)  “When all our enemies heard about it, and all the nations around us saw it, they lost their confidence; for they recognized that this work had been accomplished with the help of our God.” May you discover daily your victories are accomplished with the help of your God.

Sons and Inheritance

A very basic matter to understand at the outset is that “son” in the Bible is not about gender. It is about position in Christ and His Kingdom purposes. A person who has been cleansed by the blood of Jesus is brought into the family of God as a son to receive inheritance and authority and function in the Father’s household. In the time period that the Bible was written, inheritance, authority and territory were distributed  within families. Inheritance and authority were given to “sons”.

God can Turn the Tide

TideTurningThe weariness of pushing and getting nowhere can be disheartening. It seems like a strong tide that pushes in the opposite direction to our attempts to gain harbor. Power to gain our goals seems no more than an ethereal wisp of cloud. But, powerful God can turn the tide that has pushed against you and brought weariness as you have tried to press forward. May you flow, full sail, into victory after victory as the hand of God assures your overcoming.
(Ps.118:15-16, Msg)  “Hear the shouts, hear the triumph songs in the camp of the saved? “The hand of God has turned the tide! The hand of God is raised in victory!” May you discover daily the hand of God turning the tide in your favor.

Sonship and Inheritance

ChildrenWithParentsIt is very important to understand the concept and position of “son” in the Bible. It is not just another topic for a Bible study or something to cover in a Sunday School class before the end of the year. It is a must for the people of God to realize their sonship through Jesus Christ. We (both male and female) cannot understand and operate in the inheritance we have in Christ if we do not understand our sonship.
