The Kingdom of God is Action
The Kingdom of God is not just something we put on the list of “Things I Believe In,” but it is action–action in us and through us. The government of God (The Kingdom) is exercised through sons/daughters. It is somewhat like when James, in his epistle, said, “There are people going around talking about what faith they have. I will show you my faith by my works.” (Js.2:18) There were evidently people just wanting to impress others by merely talking about their belief concerning faith. Reading about faith in the Bible like the way James spoke of it and observing faith leads me to the conclusion that it might best be described as a verb (action) rather than a noun (person, place or thing). Just so, the Kingdom of God is best described as a verb (action) rather than as a noun. The Kingdom of God is the King acting through His authorized agents who release His governmental power in their sphere of authority.
