Shrouded Mysteries Missing the Point

Over the past few decades some preachers have competed with one another concerning who knows most accurately what will happen when, and how many will be there when it happens and who will be left out because of whatever reasons. Building great mystery and drama around the whole subject has enabled some speakers to collect large followings of loyal supporters (and book sales). When I see scriptural prophecy being fulfilled, that is just another testimony to me that God does not speak without purpose and that He has the ability to fulfill his Word. If the sacrifice of Jesus at Calvary and His compassionate, fellowshipping Spirit cannot instill in people a fervor for Him and compassion to live redemptively for others, a theology shrouded in puzzle-like mystery and culminating chaos most likely will not.
