As the people of God assemble today may they be encouraged by the examples of 
faith they have in the Word of God of those who hoped in the promises of the Almighty and pressed forward in patient endurance looking unto the Author and Finisher of our faith. “Such a large crowd of witnesses is all around us! So we must get rid of everything that slows us down, especially the sin that just won’t let go. And we must be determined to run the race that is ahead of us.” (Heb.12:1, CEV)
