As the people of God assemble today, may they hear and feed upon the life-giving, life-enhancing, life-changing Word of God. May they take it out the door with them and into the week ahead. May they not lose their grip on it and may Its effective truth stick to them like glue through the whole week, through every circumstance, through every encounter.
“Now these are the ones sown among thorns; they are the ones who hear the word, 19 and the cares of this world, the deceitfulness of riches, and the desires for other things entering in choke the word, and it becomes unfruitful. 20 But these are the ones sown on good ground, those who hear the word, accept it, and bear fruit: some thirtyfold, some sixty, and some a hundred.” (Mk.4:18-20,

May the hand that reaches out to clutch you, detain you and taint you with undesirable identity, lose its grip. And may the Lord delightfully set you up for profitable progress.
